Review of Villa du Bonheur, chambres d'hôtes 3*

We booked a stay in the "Villa du Bonheur" beginning of January. As we did not know the town, nor what to expect from the weather, we asked the host, Thierry, to reserve 2 evening diners and a welness. Breakfast was a bit much, but all delicious and hosted by a very nice Thierry. Fresh coffee, fresh croissants and a huge choice of marmelade, cheese and other toppings made us skip lunch 2 days in a row :-) Upon arrival, the first thing we noticed was the amazing location and house! Really great. Also the welcome we received from Thierry and Dominique was perfect! We were placed in the "cottage", which is the formal garage located in the garden, and re-built into a very spacious and nice bedroom with luxury bathroom. A welcome bottle of champagne was waiting in our room :-) Both diner locations were very well, within the budget given up front to Thierry. The wellness is down the street, and like the diners everything was organised perfectly. Thanks to a very sunny day, we also had the chance to do a 1/2 day walk on the beach, with amazing views! Just across the street of the Villa is a very nice small Jazz/Cocktail bar, which is definitely a place worth visiting on a January evening. All in all, I would definitely advise for a stay in the Villa Du Bonheur. As neither me or my wife are golf players, we did not get to experience that part of Wimereux. However, I have setup my parents, both golf enthusiasts like Thierry for a weekend there, and Thierry has arranged in advance for all the green fees, the reservations, and he even could advise out of his first hand experience which golf courses were the best.
