Wall was cracked, insect egg found on the carpet, wall skirting was found came off, carpet edges was dusty, bathroom wall and glass panel grouting was dirty. Breakfast arranged for our group was like for “children” — I wonder where is your brand standard. Good thing was the FO respond fast on our request fast.

Lovely staff, super comfy bed. Very nice breakfast.

Nice rooms. Friendly personnel. Close to the Autostrada but quiet. Easy to find. Lots of free parking. Needs some renovation (rug stains) and more attention to detail bei housekeeping (especially mildew in the shower. ) Otherwise clean.

Room good with working air conditioning, but breakfast buffet is not worth its name.

Perfectly located hotel, in the woods, just next to the freeway. The service is poor and very unprofessional.

Poor hotel. Needs to be pulled down and rebuilt. The room was so out of date the shower was a hand held one. Resturant was very expensive. Breakfast was poor but cost £16 for bread ham cheese and coffee. There is a car park. To be honest very far from anything. Be aware there is no lift so if you have mobility difficulties ask for a ground floor room when you book.

Needs lots of money spending on the place. If l said hand held showers it tells you how old and sad it is. The staff are friendly but the state of the place let's it down. Food is expensive and the price of breakfast of £16 per person for ham/cheese bread and tea or coffee is very over the top. You do need a car here because it is a bit away from anything.

Staff polite, no problem checking in, beds and room comfy.

Convenient just outside the highway. Friendly staff and good breakfast. If you need a stop throughout a long road journey, this can be a good spot.

The staff and attentive and welcoming. The rooms are spacious. Some items are a bit dated though.

Nice hotel in the nothing of France.

Hello, it is true that the reception is perfect, the rooms and bathroom are large and nice, but C was much more classy in the beginnings of the operation of this 4 star hotel.
The setting is fine for a long stay, but to spend less than 48 h, there are 3 stars not too far that suit me a little better.
The setting, the location, and the freeway access are really a plus and the rating deserves 4 stars.
Good stay at all on Saint avold.

One expects better of a Novotel. Certainly the rooms are large, the bathroom is modern, but they are less warm and lack THE PEP that can have other hotels in the chain. And in addition there are spiders.

Drinks and overpriced meals for poor quality. It was a very nice Hotel.

Very well placed a few minutes from a motorway exit, comfortable hotel. No surprise if you're a regular in this chain. Breakfast Breakfast too expensive €16 and for the restaurant, it's OK without more.

Very friendly, restaurant and breakfast very good and well hearty, used very attentive to our requests, to redo very quickly.

Used as one night stop over many times. Friendly and helpful. Good breakfast, main menu has something for everyone. Ample parking. Rooms always clean and tidy. Kettle and sachets for hot drinks. Very Dog Friendly. Well Done Novotel Saint Avold.

Well located, rooms clean and quiet with very helpful staff.

Dated building, modern updated rooms (Novotel "cookie cutter" rooms). Convenient stop over during road trip with a good restaurant, pool and outside play area.

Room absolutely fine & to the usual Novotel high level. Our 1 night stay let down by poor food not helped bring attached by swarms of small midge like flies whilst trying to eat outside. Receptionist helped by offering our desserts as complimentary. Wouldn't put me off staying again. Loved the AMERICAN war cemetery almost next door.

Very slowly serving in The restaurant, but The food was fine. It would be Nice if The staff could talk english (just A little).

My stay was good. Food in the restaurant was great, although the selection for breakfast was limited. Staff are helpful and friendly. The accommodation itself is old. The rooms did not appear or smell very clean. The toilets is separate from the bathroom and does not have a sink to wash your hands in, you need to go through three doors to get to the bathroom to was your hands after using the toilet!

I was expecting much more from this hotel. The building, as well as the furniture is quite old. The staff is nice. Location is perfect if you are planning an on the road trip — few minutes away from the high way.

Last night Wednesday, July 23 we came to 3 people dinner outdoor pool side.
The place is lovely and well located.
To immediately we felt some kind of "stress" in the service team but, though young, has managed the inconveniences, mishaps inherent to any catering service. Bravo to her with a special mention for your server Bastien LOUIS who knew how to handle and manage his team brilliantly and
smile anyway!
Here you have an excellent element in your restaurant.
We will be back.

Spacious room, quiet. The evening staff at the restaurant and lovely hospitality. Meals very decent restaurant in price and quality.
Thanks to the smokers, when they take a non smoking room to respect their commitment.
for smokers who do not respect this make them pay a fine! because as soon as you touch the wallet, it is always effective.

My wife and I stayed in this hotel for one night over the Christmas holidays. It was a friendly place with good plain food. The hotel appeared to have been refurbished and was in fine condition. I would recommend it. Martin Quirke.
