We've just returned from a week's stay here with our two children (5 & 2) and we had a fantastic time. James and Olivia are incredibly welcoming and have worked so hard to make this a truly unique place to stay. There was plenty to keep us all busy all week, although we did venture out to Figeac and the local forest ropes course just to see a bit more of the area. The setting is perfect, with beautiful views over the valley to enjoy whilst eating evening meals. The outdoor pool was great, not too cold and the toddler pool is the perfect depth for a 2 year old gain confidence in the water. Food was freshly made and delicious, and kids club was a real hit with our kids who are usually a bit reluctant to join in with activities like this. Would definitely recommend to families with young children, thank you James and Olivia for such a lovely holiday!
What a wonderful week. James and Olivia have created a truly special, relaxing place for a family holiday. Ferme du Cayla offers many of the perks of a much larger hotel complex but in the charm.
Of a peaceful, welcoming smaller setting. A delightful breakfast spread, top quality lunches and dinners (what a treat to not have to cook all week! ) a daily kids club, 2 wonderful pools, hot tub, play areas — it’s all there.
The evenings were wonderful, centring around their beautiful ‘village square’ with gorgeous views. We would all gather for drinks and olives at the bar in the warm evening sun. The kids were served first — a lovely home-cooked child friendly meal, and then would run off happily for a film in kids club, while the adults had a delicious three course meal and sipped wine in the outdoor restaurant. Perfect. It really was one of the most relaxing holidays we have had as a family of 5.
Local area was also nice. We particularly enjoyed the high rope adventure nearby (which has activities for 2 years old upwards) a stroll around Figeac and the mini boats, also the animal park in Gramat.
Several guests were booking for next year already. I’m sure we’ll also be back. If you’re thinking of booking, I’d highly recommend.
