Review of Hôtel Lodge In Paris 13 3*

The price was reasonable for Paris and I mainly booked it due to a personal recommendation. The hotel is located well with 2 supermarkets nearby and easy access by bus, metro and tram. Due to the stroller we travelled by bus mostly and it took us about 45-60 minutes to the main tourist attractions — absolutely fine for a city like Paris. We were disappointed that the reception stuck to its check-in time at 15:00 without checking early availability at all when we arrived at 14…:15. We also wished — with a baby — we would have been given a room on a lower floor than the top 8th. We appreciate the baby bed and recommend baby bed linen along with it. The reception staff was friendly and helpful. While the hotel and the rooms with bathrooms are relatively modern, one corner of the shower was covered with mold — very unpleasant. There is no air conditioning and one side of the hotel faces a very loud main street. To be expected and surely bearable. The breakfast could be great, but lacks love to detail and better upkeeping. They serve continental with additional scrambled eggs, sausages, cold platters of cheese and meat as well as fruit salad. The small scrambled egg and sausage containers are a bad choice, the cheese and meat selection could offer more variety and be presented better than hidden in a shelf away from the main station. Fresh fruit and veggies would make such a difference! Great were the baby seats! Maybe offer wipes on-site, no every parent remembers to bring wipes themselves and clean the chair before and after use, unfortunately. Guests can then also easily clean up the tables when necessary. All in all the hotel can be well recommended. With a little more attention to detail here and there, this hotel has the chance to be a real gem.
