My wife and I stayed at Hotel Jeu de Paume in December for 3 nights. Everything was excellent: the room, the kind staff, the breakfast, the small lobby with a fire place and wine, and also the location. If we return to Paris, we would definitely stay here again. JdP is a fantastic boutique hotel. I have stayed here many times and always love it. Location and neighborhood on ISL is perfect. Service is impeccable. The beds are firm and very kind to my delicate back. Excellent value for money. Every member of the staff is dedicated, kind, friendly, diligent, and helpful in every possible way.

Second time staying love the location loved the assistance will stay again. Only suggestion get your lady more help for breakfast.

Great little boutique hotel, very friendly even though I speak very very little French. Reception made a great suggestion for dinner at a rather inexpensive place. Just overall a nice place to stay.

Wonderful stay and such a lovely reception staff and the location could not be better. But I would work on new sound proved doors to all the rooms. You can hear everything going on both in the main hotel (1. And 2. Floor) and in the annex next to the garden. You sell sleep and you do not get it, when the cleaning staff starts at 09 and you want to sleep to 10/11 after a lovely night out in Paris (breakfast until noon — lovely service) and you can hear all the doors from the other rooms banging from people going in and out and people talking. ALL doors should be sound proved and especially the little room at the reception in the annex behind the glass door — you can hear the receptionist talking and the telephone ringing… Keep on your good work at Hotel du Jeu de Paume. A jewel in Paris! Friendly & accommodating; comfortable rooms; charming locale; quiet in our room even on robust weekend nights outside. Close to everything; affordable shopping & dining on the street; stroll to the sounds of the bells of Notre Dame! Can't recommend more highly. We'll absolutely stay here again if we're lucky enough to get back to Paris. Merci beaucoup to the entire staff and crew!

We had a lovely stay at Hotel du Jeu de Paume. The breakfast and bar service were especially good.

I did think that this was a bit expensive when I was booking it but on arrival felt that we had been blessed to have found this hotel. Located on the island next to the Notre Dame Cathedral, it lies in a delightful Parisian street, quiet and yet animated. The hotel itself is a jewel, hidden behind the massive wooden doors one associates with Paris. The welcome was warm and genuine; one felt embraced. We arrived back rather late in the evening to find the doors closed but just as I was starting to panic they magically opened for us! Breakfast was generous and the staff courteous. History of the hotel is fascinating. I would highly recommend this hotel.

On the oldest area of Paris, you can see the ancient ceiling beams and the gothic time period through this 1st class hotel, our room opened to the interior courtyard and the food… divine …!

WE had a lovely restful stay on our first night in Paris. The street is quiet, filled with interesting shops and excellent restaurants right in the very heart of Paris. What's not to love?

We selected this lovely hotel based on location and reviews. We were so pleased with our choice! Loved the generous space and many areas for storage. The history of the building and interior decorating was also important. Your friendly professional service is exceptional. Thank you for making our first stay in Paris a wonderful experience!

I wish I had a room on an upper floor. Ground floors aren't quite as nice. Fantastic location and fair price though. Had issues with internet occasionally.

Seeking a a boutique hotel, centrally located in Paris so I could walk to all important sites, that would cater to my desire for afternoon tea and champagne, a computer and printer and fax machines, a work-out room, free Wi-Fi, a responsive, English-speaking staff who would make all the restaurant, event, expo, etc. Reservations, provide advice on dinning, visiting, schedules, quiet, sophisticated and personal, I found it in the Jeu de Paume. The location on Ile St Louis, chic, quiet, little traffic, wonderful local stores, there is nowhere else I would stay in Paris.

The location is wonderful — I feel as though I am in my own quartier in Paris. And, the people at the reception desk are always so helpful, considerate, and responsive. I'll be back!

This its a lovely old hotel in the best spot in Paris. Good value and friendly helpful staff.

I had a great stay! Everyone was very friendly and helpful! I would highly recommend this hotel. There were really only two negatives. My bed wasn't super comfortable, quite a bit hard for my liking, but I know some people prefer a firmer mattress. Also, I felt a bit rushed every day to leave my room by the housekeeper. One time, even with the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door, she entered (she did knock) while I was in the shower. I know it was a bit late, but I was fighting jet lag and had a late start to the day. Other than that, and that really was a minor experience, I thought the hotel was great, and I'd gladly come back again.

Had a wonderful time. The location is perfect, the decor beautiful, and the staff friendly and helpful. If we ever get to Paris again, we hope to stay here.

Amazing hotel! We loved everything about the hotel and thought it was perfect! We hope to travel to France again and if so, we will stay there for sure!

Absolutely perfect! The corner is lovely, and the room, I say bravo to the use of space! The idea of the yurt as a dining room is great!
On the other hand the staff was a little overwhelmed! We waited outside to be opened, the wait was long to get the room and the luggage, you have to put them at their neighbour in the same street if you arrive too soon.
Hard to park too!

This is a wonderful (and, in my view, four star) hotel with plenty of character, gorgeous rooms (with exposed beams and timber), and friendly staff. The location is ideal, with the Marais just to the north and Saint Germain just to the south. Ile Saint-Paul is itself a cute part of Paris. Highly recommended.

Room small, door to terrace not really best for nighttime ventilation. As reported, room was not made up, trash left on chair, floor not even swept. Very friendly front desk and breakfast service, but no choice of non citrus juices.

The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly, competent, and professional. The hotel's location on Ile St. Louis allowed for easy access to every point of interest in Paris. The room in which we stayed was spacious, clean, comfortable, and quiet. I would like to make the following two comments with the understanding that I represent the viewpoint of an American traveller: Americans are used to a king bed being based on a single mattress (not two twins being put together). While it was not unexpected that there would be two single beds put together, the bed could have been more comfortable. The second point is that we found that the duvet/blanket covering the bed (while normal in France) was too warm for the summer season. While it was possible to set the air conditioning to 18° or 19° to make it possible to sleep comfortably, we would have preferred to sleep with a lighter blanket and the windows open. We would DEFINITELY stay again at the Hotel du Jeu de Paume the next time we come to Paris. Thanks to entire staff for a wonderful visit.

Hotel is in a very good location however there are a few issues regarding the hotel and its room. The room is small but more important the bed is small. The toilet is separated from the rest of the bathroom by a wall. There is no view in room 104. They have provided free bottle of water which is very helpful.

I enjoyed our stay, apart from an overzealous housemaid who, firstly, tried to gain entry to make up our room at 9 am, then, having been told we would be checking out at 12 noon, was found in our room, "making up the bed", when we returned from breakfast at 11 am. Either incident could, perhaps, have been dismissed if they occurred in isolation, but taken together, they left a very poor impression, which contributes to a much reduced overall rating for an otherwise very pleasant hotel. Nevertheless, management's response to my complaint about these incidents means that I will again consider this hotel on my next trip to Paris.

Quite charmed by this hotel is on especially he had the excellent idea of being on the st louis island which is one of the ideal location in paris.
However less enchanted by the team and services… my head should not return to the team because the series of awkwardness see indelicacy was still impressive.
I wouldn't have the indicated I was Parisian can be…

My partner and I stayed here in March 2015 for a romantic getaway. As avid business travelers, we're always looking for quiet, but luxurious places to stay on our trips. The hotel is charmingly quaint with all the modern amenities one could hope for. Our room had a wonderful balcony and tremendous amounts of natural light. We enjoyed champagne on the hotel's terrace and were entranced by the old world charm tucked away in this amazing hotel. The staff went above and beyond to care for us — always available and greeting us with warm smiles and hellos. Our favorite part of this hotel, besides the perfect proximity and location, was Scoop (owner's golden retriever), who greeted us every morning. This place truly is a tucked away luxury. We will absolutely stay here every time we return to Paris.

Fantastic Paris hotel located in the heart of the city. Large (for Paris), comfortable rooms and very friendly and helpful staff. Everything you want in a city hotel. We'll definitely return.

This high end hotel is located on Ile-Ste-Louis, so it cannot get any more central. Of course you'll have to walk over the bridge to get to public transportation but part of the charm is the fact that you're staying on the center island of Paris. The staff is friendly and the place has the feeling of someone's home. At the time, the owner's adorable Labrador laid by the entrance and greeted guests with a lazy look of the eye as it took its nap. The room I stayed in was small but adequate. I imagine there is a variety of other options for those requiring more space. There are 2 things that prevent me from giving this place 5 stars. 1) There is no air conditioning, which is inexcusable for such a high-end hotel. 2) The walls are thin so it's easy to hear other guests.

Service, rooms and location were just fantastic.
