Authentic Parisian hotel, balcony rooms are worth it. Spectacular view over the city.

Located between The Louvre and Notre-Dame. Interesting rooms in a 500 year-old manor house. Great multi-ethnic staff—friendly and helpful. Tiny and unique elevator—a fun and bumpy ride!

Nice friendly staff hotel. Medieval castle deco. The housekeeping leaves something to be desired in places.

Location, location. Perfect! 100 meters from chatelet metro, lots of nice restaurants, walking distance to lot of Paris must see.

Convenient location to the subway and the Louvre. Air conditioning. Entrance to your room is by a physical key which must be given to the staff when you leave the hotel to go out. They provide all purpose body wash and shampoo. Free Wi-Fi; however, it was very slow when we were trying to use it.

Not a bad hotel, great location, quiet, has everything you need. There are Russian girls at the reception. Except that the prices are high, as elsewhere in Paris.

Very cute and quiet, amazing location and the balcony is great. Rooms are on the small side but who cares, you'll be out in Paris all day.

Awesome Paris vibe, so adorable. Great location and wonderful staff. Clean and well kept in a great walking location to the Louvre, St Chapel, Notre Dame, Luxembourg Gardens. I know about 10 words of French and it’s not a problem. I would stay here again. So many great cafes and shops in the area, I can’t wait to plan my next trip to Paris.

This place was decorated very old school French. Everything. It was a fun little thing, although it did make me feel a little like I was in older person's place at times. The staff was nice and it was right next to a metro stop, which was great. The place was kitschy and nice.

Wonderful central location, walked from here to the Notre Dame, and could walk to the Louvre too! Room was very small, though I suspect this is common for Europe. Building is historic, which is nice for atmosphere, but shows in amenities. Single very small elevator, only big enough for maybe 2 people. Bed was comfortable, but nothing exceptional. Terrible Wi-Fi. Service was excellent, and the staff very friendly. Doors still use mechanical keys, and you are asked to leave the key at the front desk, and this may make some travelers uncomfortable, though we had no problems.

Nice Location. But expensive. Breakfast 15 Euro and if you want a boiled egg you pay 3.5 Euro extra… I had a superior room shared with ants…

The location is really good, between Louvre and Notre Dame. Our room was small, old fashioned but clean and cozy. The price we think is OK, for this good location.

Great location Full centre of Paris next to the Rue de Rivoli, Châtelet, Marais and Quays of the Seine: near Louvre and Orsay.

We stayed here during our first trip to Paris and it was such a GREAT LOCATION! We took the metro to a few of the sites, but we were able to mostly walk and really see the area (to the Lourve and Notre Dame for example) which heightened our experience. We found some great cafes and shops along the way. The hotel itself was beautiful and had a very friendly staff (who were kind enough to speak English for us) and comfortable rooms/beds. I felt safe walking around the area after dark and it was close to a metro stop. I highly recommend this hotel!

Hotel needs a serious relouking especially the rooms!

Pretty much downtown, the hotel has comfortable rooms. Even the breakfast is up to par. The staff are friendly and helpful.

We took a small room, quite pricey for little space but then again it's in the center of Paris, it's cute and the bed was comfortable and bathroom very nice, everything was clean. Was disappointed there was no kettle in the room, so it is literally just a room for sleeping in. My partner chose it, I'd of preferred something a bit more modern, it did kind of remind me of my late grandma's but overall it was good and the staff were friendly.

Lovely hotel with friendly helpful staff. Lovely hotel comfy clean room and en suite with everything we needed. Close to shops, restaurants museums and good transport. Will definitely recommend to family and friends and we would also like to stay here again.

My niece and I had a fantastic experience. All staff at the hotel were courteous, friendly, helpful, and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast meal was perfect — exactly what we needed to start a big day. The coffee was delicious, and the variety of tea as well. When we visit Paris again, we shall stay at your hotel again. We would like to thank you for making our holiday experience a wonderful and memorable one. We love the Grand Hotel Dechampaigne!

The location of this hotel cannot be better. The staff are efficient and very helpful. Breakfast is adequate. One can save on transport as the major sites are within walking distance. Room was cleaned daily,

The Wi-Fi is so slow! Air conditioner wasn't working probably and there was a nasty stain on the towel. Two stars for the location.

The cleanliness and the design of the room, but especially the ventilation system, do lose points, at the expense of a good central location of the hotel; I would only recommend it to anyone who stops for 2 or 3 days and is not allergic to mites.

Great location to popular sites and the metro. The hotel staff was very friendly and the rooms were sufficient and really only big enough for couples. The breakfast buffet was simple but delicious, albeit a bit pricey.

It is a fantastic hotel with a terrific location. We stayed in the balcony room and although it was only a block or two away from very busy quaint streets it was surprisingly very quiet. We were walking distance is from not f we were walking distance is from Notre Dame, Louvre, saint chapel, pont neuf, Place Daiphine! Everybody was very nice and very accommodating and whenever we return to Paris, we will be staying here again.

Great hotel. Shower didn't have a curtain. Add a curtain, 5 star.

Very convenient location, hospitable staff, and beautiful decor. Rooms small and shower a little awkward, but overall happy. Steps to Metro, For (mini-grocery), Boulangerie, and Seine.

We just finished a four night stay and were very pleased with our experience. Quaint is the perfect word to describe the room: real wooden accents, windows that open and flower boxes, and even a real key for the door! The staff were extremely nice and helpful, and spoke good English (though we tried as much French as we could). The location couldn't be better: 2 minutes to Chatelet Metro station, one block from the Seine, and within a 10 minute walk to Notre Dame, Ste. Chappelle, and Louvre. The room was a good size, but the bathroom was small. Electrical plugs were few and connected to the light switches, as we learned when we awoke to half-charged devices after the first night. The breakfast was also pricey, but we found some excellent patisseries close by that were inexpensive. If you're looking for a quaint room that offers the charm of a true Parisian experience, Hotel Dechampaigne will be perfect for you!

Although the hotel near the Eiffel Tower, but some poor housing conditions. We booked two rooms, stay 3 nights, but not satisfied with housing conditions at all. Small room, very small bathroom, pool water plug is bad. We chose this hotel because it was considered that it is a chain hotel brand.

Good price ONLINE. Nice looking building woth a croissonerie nearby. Avoid booking rooms facing the inner "yard", as it is not wider than a well. Seriously.

Excellent and very helpful staff, rooms are clean and cosy. Location is very good. Highly recommend staying there, we will be back.

Never seen so little rooms.

My first stay in Paris, and erring on the side of caution we booked via eurostar somewhere that we hoped would offer us a flavour of Paris. Hotel Dechampaigne did not disappoint. It is beautifully located for all the museums, cafes, shops, tourist sites and a stones throw from the Seine and full of parisienne charm. The staff are helpful and when we arrived to find our room was a little on the small side for a superior double, they did not hesitate to offer us another room the following day, moving our luggage and without problem. We tried the breakfast on our final day and it was not only pleasing to the eye it was a veritable feast of delicious french fare. I loved that I had an enormous yet elegant silver teapot of earl grey all to myself and had I not been full to bursting from two days of wonderful french cuisine I would have been more adventurous. There is a bar, free Wi-Fi in the lounge, a small vintners next door offering wine tasting and meals and if you stay here I recommend booking a table at the cosy L'Auberge Cafe down the road towards the Seine, turn right and on the corner — a fabulous wine selection, good food (we enjoyed the sweet potato and jasmin tiramisu) and a talented musician on the piano.

I loved the staff, who were very friendly and helpful, and the rooms, which are very characterful. If you like the bland tedium of a Best Western, this may not be for you, but if you like exposed oak beams, velvet drapes and period furniture give it a try. I haven't tried the breakfast, but it looks Paris normal.

Great central location, just a 2 steps from the louvre, at 100 m from the metro station chatelet, quaint, clean, friendly and helpful staff, Wi-Fi available always, recommended.
