What a lovely stay at Grand Hotel des Balcons! The staff was friendly and accommodating, the location was perfect for walking to so many landmarks in Paris, the room was comfortable and clean, and the breakfast, for the price, was truly excellent. Would highly recommend this hotel and certailnly stay there again when visiting the beautiful City of Lights!

This was a very clean, comfortable hotel. I was on the 6th floor and it was very quiet at night. I have stayed at other Paris locations, and the streets can be noisy, but not here. The location of this hotel sits on a quiet street, so if you have the windows open you can still sleep! There is not any AC, however it was cool at night. I highly recommend the breakfast too. There was a wide variety of choices, and it was delicious. The location is close to restaurants and to metro stops.

The hotel is wonderful, the rooms are small as can be expected in most European cities, but it's clean and adequate. I loved having a balcony, even though it was tiny, but one can stand there and feel the breeze. the reason I only gave 3 stars is because there is no air conditioning in the rooms. Visited during summer and even with the small fan on and the doors to the balcony wide open, the heat was unbearable at some points and made sleep difficult. A small bar fridge would also be nice. I would stay here again, but not in summer.

The hotel is homely and welcoming and super clean. Great breakfast (which is supplementary) with plenty of choice beyond croissants, coffee and orange juice. Comfortable bed and although I was in a small room, it was perfectly adequate with a good shower. Just would have liked to see a valance around the bed instead of the bare mattress. I think that was probably an oversight when the bed was made up as I checked in early. A bottle of drinking water in the room would have been a plus but a small detail Everyone on reception were helpful, friendly and if you needed it, spoke very good English. Response to my booking direct with the hotel was efficient. Overall a great place to stay to be in the heart of things on the Left Bank but in a quiet street. Close to Odeon, the beautiful Jardins du Luxembourg, deluxe shops (Apple store very close) and cinemas of Blvd St Germain, and popular local restaurants and bars. Would I stay here again? Definitely!

Wonderfully situated in a beautiful part of Paris and not far from the lovely Luxumbourgh gardens. We had a wonderful bed, something important to us. The room was freshly painted and looked bigger than it was due to a clever reflexion in the mirror of a lovely painting. The staff are charming, very helpful. We hope to return there before the end of the year.

Staff were superb. Hotel room was immaculate. After a day of intense walking, including up the stairs of the Arc de Triomphe, I would return to this quiet neighbourhood and sleep like a log. The room was so quiet l actually thought I could hear a pin drop. I look forward to staying here as long as I can get a booking on my next trip to Paris. Breakfast was okay and healthy but not proper english breakfast with fried eggs, bacon, mushrooms etc.

This is my favorite hotel in the world! I've been staying here when I visit Paris since 2001. The hotel is in an excellent location, the staff is pleasant and helpful, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. I would schedule a trip to Paris around room availability.

Wifi is a little bit broken. Sound proof is bad, I can hear my neighbor's snore. The location is very good and in safe area.

I am an American. First time traveling to Paris. Solo. Booked this hotel at the last minute based on cursory examinations of reviews and the recommendation from a friend that I should stay as close to the Île de la Cité as possible (basically Notre Dame and the center of the city). This is good advice. Stay central and you can walk/Metro anywhere. The location is excellent: just a short stroll from the Metro, the city center, Parks, Notre Dame, etc… I mean… its Paris! At the same time, the hotel is located on a VERY quiet street. So when you want to retire, it was nice to step away from the bustle of the city. Regarding service: The online booking process was seamless. The staff was available 24 hours and all of them were exceptionally nice and spoke perfect English. Breakfast was excellent: bread, cheeses, cold cuts, coffee, juices, sausages, bacon. Easy to fuel up before wandering around Paris. Rooms are impeccably cleaned and comfortable. I was alone To top it all off, there is a laundromat about 1 block away, so you can pack light.

Close to odeon metro station, Not so large but enough space room, Stable free Wi-Fi service, friendly and helpful hotel staff. Breakfast is a bit expensive but just a standard price for hotels in Paris, I guess.

Excellent location. My room was not large, but was comfortable and entirely suited my needs, and was cheap compared to other options. The staff was friendly. I would certainly consider staying there again.

Brilliant and quite location. Excellent and very friendly staff. They did their best to make me comfortable and were very helpful when my plans changed at short notice. Just a few minutes walk to central areas. I'd sure visit again.

Amazing, best hotel in the region food and services optimal.

Excellent hotel, very well placed in the Latin quarter, quiet with a magnificent view of the Odeon theatre and the rooftops of Panam from the 5th floor. Room clean and simple decor, bathroom without reproach, and bedding spotless, which is rare in Paris. Tremendous hospitality. Discounted rate if you book on the hotel website in advance (20% discount), we will be back that's for sure!

Excellent hotel located at probably one of the most elegant and classic areas of Paris, practically opposite the Odeon Theatre and a short walk away from Luxembourg Gardens. Cozy room with a typically french balcony. Very courteous staff.

You get what you pay for in Paris. It's cramped and dated. On the other hand the staff were very friendly and the location is ultra convenient. I've stayed in far worse for the same price in this city so five stars for value for money. Be prepared to fork out a lot if you want luxury in this city.

Good location, rooms are OK but for my taste small. Cheap considering it's Paris.

Ive stayed at this Hotel 3 times from 2009 to 2015. It is THE perfect hotel for budget conscious patrons who still want quality and is in the St. Germain des pres area. This hotel is perfectly situated in 10 to 20 min walks of everything and well worth the midest expense. Breakfast is always a great. Staff remain year over year so you can depend on the same service. I miss it when I'm not there and friends introduced to it always are thankful for the tip.

This is a beautiful and impeccably clean hotel in the Latin quarter. It is walking distance to both quaint boutiques and major Paris attractions. The rooms and beds are very comfortable and the service is excellent. I highly recommend the breakfast — it is delicious and will begin your day well. The fresh flowers on each table and stained glass windows in the dining area are added bonuses. This hotel is a gem.

Great location near beautiful Luxemburg garden, walking distance to Louvre, Notre Dame, Latin Quarter, Sorbonne university, and Pantheon. Small clean cozy room with a little balcony and live flowers. Nice, helpful personnel, delicious breakfast buffet, complementary coffee, tea, umbrellas, and Wi-Fi.

One of my favorite drop points in Paris. A small family hotel with a nice staff and an ideal location. The breakfast is very good. Moreover it is for me the hotel that offers the best breakfast in Paris.

Exactly what I was looking for when searching for a hotel to stay in on my first trip to Paris in almost 17 years. Definitely my favorite hotel of the four I've stayed in during my visits. It has all of the charm and ambiance you'd expect from a Latin Quarter hotel, but is as clean and efficiently managed as any much newer establishment. The location is perfect, with tons of shops and restaurants within steps of the hotel and Notre Dame and the Palais du Luxembourg an easy stroll away as well. The breakfast is delicious and filling with a great variety of offerings and the staff is wonderful. You get a LOT for one of the most reasonable rates in Paris. Will definitely be staying here again!

Excellent hotel with a balcony out looking the street. Cinq etioles!

Great place. Room was very clean and in good condition. Staff was excellent with great recommendations and very pleasant and helpful. We were on third floor and roof construction noise from across street was loud, but that's not the hotel's fault. Older so windows and walls and doors do not hold out a lot of noise. That said the hotel in the street are very quiet and pleasant. Will definitely be back. We had a family sized room and for the quality, cleanliness and price I don't think we could beat it.

This is one of the best bargains in Paris. A charming boutique hotel in the heart of the Latin quarter. The rooms and the beds are comfortable and impeccably clean. The service is excellent, especially the front desk staff all of whom speak English. There is a terrific breakfast for only 12 Euros. The only down-side is the problem that many of the small hotels have in Paris, i. E. Lack of air-conditioning so the rooms can be uncomfortably hot when the temperatures rise.
