Our room had a very comfortable bed, and looked charming, but there was only about 12" between the end of the bed and the wall, which made it very difficult to move around the room. The tiny niches on either side of the bed that served as nightstands were very small, and quite worn and scratched, which made them look dirty. Storage for clothing was adequate, but there was so little light in the room, even in the daylight, that we had to use the flashlights on our cell phones to find our clothing on the shelves. In fact, the lights were so dim that it was depressing to be in the room, so we avoided coming back before dinner, which we like to do, to get ready for the evening, because it was so dark and difficult to move around the crowded space. Bathroom storage was minimal, so anything left over had to go on top of the small desk, which ended up being completely covered. So it could not function as a desk. There was no room for suitcases anywhere, so we had to stack them on the ledge in front of the windows, which made the room even smaller and darker. Every day, no matter how hard we tried, we got water all over the floor from the shower. It was very hard to adjust the bracket for the showered, and the glass partition was not very large, so the floor was always wet. We did our best to dry it with our towels, which meant that we could no longer use them. This level of inconvenience really slowed us down: it took longer to get ready because the space was so small and cluttered. However, everyone we spoke with at the front desk and in the breakfast room was very friendly and helpful, which we very much appreciated. The location of the hotel was good as well. Would we stay there again? Never! But the rates are low, the location is good, and the staff is very helpful.
