Valid location, close to several shopping premises and transportation, friendly and helpful staff, a bit old-fashioned décor, but clean…

Here we return whenever we go to Paris, we love the attention and the location.

Small hotel at the end of rue Daguerre. The rooms are small but clean and the service very friendly. For Paris standards a good price for the standard you get. The location close to Denfert Rochereau (direct RER B from Charles de Gaulle airport), good connections to Orly airport and close to gare Montparnasse (trains direction to Versailles) is very practical.

Very well placed. Close to the transport and the Gare Montparnasse. Restaurants all over the street. Receptionist very nice morning as evening. Just very limited to take the elevator.

Well placed: Daguerre Street is full of restaurants and good quality mouth shops. Comfortable hotel. Default: Elevator bearings are all at the half-levels.

Very nice location. Great staff. Only room was a bit small. Had no breakfast so no opinion on that… But coffee was really good.

Didn't deserve more stars. Kaputter curtain, ancient equipment… Bathtub small and in need of new construction. Soap is probably filled with lower-quality soap than it says. At least that's how it seems. On the floor of the carpet there are clear spots visible… after all, it was generally clean and the bed comfortable. However, I find more stars indefensible.

Excellent Food! This is the way it is supposed to be… Is it cheap? No! Is it wort every € even if you are broke? Definitely! Entrée, Main Dish, Dessert, Whisky, A bottle of water as well as a bottle of wine for ~150€… Shut up and take my money! Oh yeah not to forget the solid service with Charakter.

Good price, the photos match the room. Small elevator, but it's a traditional Paris thing. You must go to the second floor to access the elevator. Friendly staff but did not speak well Spanish.
The location of the hotel, its street has everything, beauty and variety.

A well located small traditional style hotel on a mainly pedestrian street with many restaurants, bistro and cafes. The hotel does not allow access to rooms before the check-in time of 2pm. The small rooms lack some of the inclusions that one would usually expect, for example there are no tea and coffee making facilities in the room, there are no tissues, the "mini bar" is not stocked with anything. There is no lift from the ground floor (you need to go up a flight of stairs to get to the lift, and the lift will drop you off between floors so you will then need to walk up or down stairs to get to your room) during our stay (2 nights) the lift call button was not working on several floors. The hotel said they had called for repairs but the problem had not been fixed by our checkout at 11.30am on day 3.

Very good location in a very nice street where there are plenty of shopping, restaurant, Bistro, café and even a market. Hotel clean, WLAN and minibar available. Stairs steep.

Good AC and internet, room did not have the option for 3 people.

I'm literally in shock by how badly a friend of mine and myself were just treated by the staff at this hotel. We had just finished with a full day of traveling and had booked online prior, so we were pretty exhausted and ready to call it a night. We ubered over to the hotel and apparently we booked for the following day by accident through our phone. Not a big deal, but the guy at the front desk wouldnt even open the door more than an inch to tell us in other words "too bad — cancel it, bye" and then proceeded to slam the door shut and lock it. It was extremely cold outside and he locked us out and wouldn't let us even use the Wi-Fi to find a new hotel in the area, let alone give us a tip or two on which direction we should walk at 3 AM to find a new hotel. There are not even words to describe this experience. I have stayed in hostels/hotels in 32 countries throughout my life and this by far was the worst I've ever been treated.

Great hotel close to the city centre by metro. Rooms can be experienced as small with 2 people.

Staff quite helpful. Room is quite small. I had a room on 5th floor, so it was nice not to have another apartment looking into the room. Shower stall is really small, and its door only opens 2/3 of the way, also the water handle is in an inconvenient position, so I kept bumping into it and turning the water off while showering (and I am not a fat person! ). Another inconvenient thing is the elevator that stops in between floors, aside from being really small and the steps are too close to the door, so it's hard to maneuver the luggage… I chose this hotel because it had AC (I did not use it because it was cold in Paris during summer! ), elevator (does not work that well), location (close to Gaité station and walking distance to Gare Montparnasse), and mini-fridge in the room (they do offer the first bottle of water as courtesy, but I did not drink it because I did not know. There are markets close by. ) They do offer b breakfast at additional cost, but I did not try. Also, in room safe available.

Hotel is good. The pedestrian street even better.

I've stayed here many times over the years and have always found the experience flawless. In an ideal location on and of itself, the Montparnasse Daguerre is situated in a very vibrant and attractive area; the market, bars and cafes make the local area one to enjoy. If, like me, you prefer to walk around Paris, it's a great starting point to trek round the City. Go the distance, it's worth it. As for the hotel itself, the accomodation is fantastic for the price; lovely rooms, well appointed and many with great views of the street. Some rooms are a bit on the snug side, but not unduly so, and certainly better than most in the City. The staff are friendly, from managment to catering staff, and genuinely like to help. For someone who's spent a lot of time in Paris over the years, my first choice is always the Montparnasse Daguerre. For quality at a good price it can't be beaten.

Quiet and nice place to stay in Paris. Very close to metro station. And lots of restaurants down the street. Very convenient for travellers.

Lovely hotel for a good price in Paris, in a really nice street. I really enjoyed the neighborhood, also near Les Catacombes de Paris, a must see!

Passing through Paris, for a night before you take the train at Montparnasse.
Very good hotel, very good service, with an excellent value for money.
(I had a room at €60 by booking through internet)
Steps from the train station, but located in the calm of the Daguerre Street.
Room fine and well equipped, a bit small, but good for sleeping it is enough.
The elevator is too small, but to take these bags, this is sufficient.
I have not had time to test the breakfast.
Go ahead without hesitation!
