Nice place and the hotel located very close by one of big shopping mall in Paris. Rooms are okay, but there is very narrow elevator and stairs which is giving stressful job in terms of baggage handling. Customer service is not in an acceptable level.

Despite having what appeared to be central AC, the air conditioning in my room mysteriously stopped functioning after I checked in. I had specifically booked for the AC since it was sweltering out, but I was told it was impossible to do anything about it, and the promised repair people never showed up during my stay. Just outside my door, the reception and lobby AC worked perfectly. Considering how many reviews I've seen complaining about the AC at this hotel, I question whether they intentionally shut off access to save money. As it was a ground floor room, the windows couldn't open, but even if they had, it would have been far too noisy. With the windows closed, I could still hear quite a lot of outside noise, neighbouring rooms, the hall, and every few minutes, the rumbling vibration of the metro. On the positive side, the location is near metro lines, multiple buses, and is out of the main tourist areas yet still close enough by transit to see everything. The breakfast did appear to be good quality, and the main floor bedrooms are quite clean and modern.

Good location. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and comfortable but a lot smaller than what we expected for a triple room for a family. Shower tiny. Enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is very simple and cosy. We were surprised that the room/bathroom were quite spacious, unlike the reviews written about it. It's super basic but does the job real well. Very close to the metro. Most staff was very friendly except for one grumpy old man who was not very nice. But overall positive experience. :)

Overall a very positive experience here. Arrived and was greeted by friendly staff and when we entered the three rooms we had reserves, it was clean and tidy! The staff was extremely helpful and kind, on the last day in Paris our flight wasn't until late and they let us store our luggage while we went out to explore until it was time to go. Downfalls however include the room and bathroom being really quite small and compact, from photos we imagined the space to be a lot more roomier. Another downfall includes the fact that the sheets weren't changed for the whole 4 nights we spent there and the complimentary soaps we used up weren't replaced, even thought cleaners came in! The turn down service is merely just changing the bin and giving you fresh towels. The last downfall I would say was that the air conditioning in all of our rooms were very poor, in 26-30•c heat it's the last thing you need! We tried keeping it on for the whole day and when we arrived back at night, our room was still warm! We ended up leaving our windows open for the remainder of our trip! Overall, we did have a positive experience and would recommend this hotel to people.

My stay at the Coypel was okay. Nothing spectacular. It is a two minute walk to the Place d'Italie metro station (Mairie du XIIIe entrance), so it is also very close to a shopping centre (Italie Deux) which contains a Carrefour Market. Not a lot of historical sites or activity in the area, otherwise. In short, a convenient, close but quiet destination to rest for the night. The hotel staff were friendly; however, one morning, I discovered a leak from my bathroom sink and reported it as I left to explore for the day. The receptionist did not seem too interested that morning. I reported it to a different person the next day and it was repaired by that evening. The room was small which is to be expected in Paris. The air conditioning was a plus, but there was an overwhelming scent of vanilla in the room, almost as if an unidentified air freshener had gone haywire. Overall, I sense that the hotel is trying to update its image, which is a positive aspect. But as of April 2018, it remains a pretty average property at a premium price.

Room was very clean but the House keeper opened our door without knocking 3 times.

Very good reception by the person in service on the weekend taking the time to greet us (while already busy with another customer) when we left. Room space just but clean. Good location close to a metro station. I recommend!

Clean, cheap, friendly welcome and easy to access but bad soundproofing between the rooms.

Excellent hotel. I stayed a couple of days, and loved the rooms. The location is excellent, next to the Plaza Italia, with Metro that allows you to move everywhere. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom is clean. The service is friendly and attentive. The only downside I saw was that the bathroom drain smelled bad. Otherwise: perfect.

This is the first hours of my accomodation. And everything looks perfect. & addirional thanks for the hospitable reception.

Room was small. But if Nan is in Paris, you don't want to stay in the hotel room but see something. There is a double bed closet with a safe, desk chair and bedside table enough. However, the bathroom was so narrow that one could touch the opposite wall at the "meeting" on the toilet with a bit of stretching with the head. On the small balcony exactly 1 chair was fitted. Breakfast was the same every day however there was enough choice for a few days. The location is great. The building next door is a police station. The Metro VLT. 5 min walk away in both directions. At the one metro is directly 3 quick restaurants supermarkets and other restaurants are nearby. I would be in spite of KL. Room to book again here.

Hotel where the furniture is not design but the rooms are clean, inviting, well soundproof, the bathrooms are complete and clean. The breakfast area is small, but the drinks and food are in number and the quality of the breakfast is average for this type of hotel.

Located in the 13eme arrondisement is a small hotel with comfortable rooms and nice view towards place d'italie. I stay with my aunt and cousin and the fourth had a cute shower, and a queen bed and a single. One-half block of the square where is located a station of the metro, fast food (mcD, KFC). There is also a carrefour supermarket 2 blocks away and a boulangerie delicious 1 block. Highly recommended.

Hotel pequeñito, habitación correcta, limpia y con baño. Tiene un pequeñisimo ascensor, no cabe una silleta normal de niño. Por lo demás nos pusieron cuna para bebé sin coste, el desayuno no es muy extenso pero todo está bueno. Tiene una parada de metro a un minuto, plaza de Italia, que está muy bien comunicada.

Awesome hotel for few days stay. Wi-Fi is on a slower side. Markets and train station is close by.

Very disappointed, having reserved a room with bathtub, arrived on the spot no plug for the bathtub, after calling the reception, the man answers me, I quote "put a sock in in replacement"
The shower had no pressure to wash with a small trickle of water, dusty room, and no parking, the parking said in the reservation and enforced a parking fee. Only advantage, it is close to the center.

Good prices, clean (it simple and a little small) rooms and really good breakfast. It's also very central and easy to get around. Can't complain!

Noisy rooms, we hear everything that happens in the adjoining rooms. Inevitably it is a very old hotel that starts to fall into ruins. Everything was redone, but in the way ' hide-misery '! At least almost everything because the carpet on the floor of the rooms dates from maybe 30 years ago (very dirty, stained, and with a cockroach lost in the middle…)
At the 6th (and last) floor you could count the subways that pass so you feel the vibrations.
The breakfast is quite classic but is charged the high price.
Add to all this a deplorable reception with a receptionist who spoke hardly French and who knew nothing of the neighborhood, not even where it was possible to park the car… Note that contrary to the description on ' Booking ' this hotel has no parking, it is a public underground parking fee (obviously very expensive) located not far from the hotel.
Considering the exorbitant price at night, hotel to avoid.

Nice hotel a couple blocks from metro stop Place d'Italie. Small room and bath, but adequate. Clean, comfortable, new air conditioner system and good Wi-Fi.

We arrived at Coypel and were disappointed that decorators were working on ground floor and the only seating in reception was covered. We received a very frosty greeting at reception. The receptionist on duty was not pleasant. Our room was small but had been recently decorated with new linen and curtains. There was a recently installed air con unit which was good and surprisingly quiet. Bathroom was adequate but the tiles and grouting weren't great. Breakfast was 8 euro per person and was very good for a 2 star hotel. Thankfully all other staff were friendly and helpful. Bed linen was changed every day and was of good quality. All in all it was central and good value for money. Local cafes and restaurants very good.

Great value, well located, very clean.

You will be ideally located between hospital boulevard and avenue of goblins a few steps from the Place of Italy. The hotel COYPEL is served by three metro lines (line 5, 6 and 7) and five bus lines, making travel very simple.
You can take a walk on the side of the rue Mouffetard market, back to the place of the counterscarp, two not the Pantheon, make you in the Latin quarter, St Germain of meadows, in department stores, at the Palais Omnisports of Paris Bercy or the great museums of the capital.
Comfortable and peaceful double glazed, decorated with simple rooms all have satellite TV, telephone, a private bathroom and free Wi-Fi.
All staff will be at your disposal to offer you a warm and personalised welcome.

Hotel with good value for money, conveniently located; rooms a little small but complete and clean.
The noise of the metro is quite noticeable, my room was on the first floor.
In the neighbourhood there are several clubs and for those with no breakfast included, point out the excellent boulangerie to 30 metres on the right after leaving the hotel.

The room we had is large and with an excellent bathroom. Except for that, I must say that the hotel is not recommended for come in summer. There is no air conditioning and heat is infernal, but open windows is exposed to the noise of the avenue that passes out, which has traffic 24 hours. Bad choice.

Clean room (for Paris) bathroom, very friendly staff (all with good English). Wireless network works stably. The hotel is near the Metro station, anchor the big shopping centre and plenty of cafés and restaurants. Breakfast rate was not possible.
Cons — noise. Buzz and vibration from underground, noise from police cars (next — "district militia Department"). Soundproofing between rooms bad.
