Overnight stay in a spacious double room. Basic, but clean and comfortable. TV needs updating. My only real complaint was the amount of mosquitoes in the room. For a hotel room with air conditioning, I haven’t seen so many mosquitoes before. I took some time to kill as many of them as I could, but I still got bitten on the face. If there was a hook above the bed, guests could hang their own net if they have one.
A great find! Very pleased with La Mire. I’d read some reviews saying it was noisy, but that is not at all what we found. It seemed very calm and quiet. We arrived after a long journey to a friendly welcome. We ate at their on site restaurant. We sat outside under one of the many pergolas (thoughtfully arranged, so as to give everyone space) and enjoyed an evening of good food and wine. Our rooms were clean, spacious and well equipped. The aircon wasn’t too noisy (had much worse) and the beds were comfy. Just finished breakfast, which was lovely, fresh and plentiful. Again with friendly people on hand to assist if needed. If we’re ever this way again, we will definitely stay again. Would recommend this hotel happily.

We stopped here overnight on our way across France. Nice friendly staff, plenty of parking, and a good breakfast. We wanted to eat, without having to drive or walk somewhere so the attached restaurant was a deciding factor for us. The restaurant is fun and the food was good, especially an entrée of tomato varieties (Tomates d'antan et Burrata).
As other reviewers have mentioned, the mosquitoes were a pain; we made the mistake of leaving the balcony door open before going to bed. Closing it was a pain too because no matter what I did, the air-conditioning refused to lower the temperature. At one point, in the middle of the night, I was reduced to covering myself with a wet towel to keep cool.
Also, as another reviewer noted, Google Maps has it located on the wrong side of the road. I've submitted an edit. It should be marked on the south side of the Av. De Châteauroux.
