Regrettably I couldn’t experience the gastronomic restaurant and the spa.
Great wine from the local winery/ bodega Chateau Smith Lafitte next door.
Only problem I saw with the two more casual restaurants, Terrace Rouge and Le lavoir menu seemed a little restricted. Perhaps they can improve the options.

Great time, can't wait to go back to discover the gourmet restaurant, setting, care, products and staff, to advise.

A sublime place a few miles from burgundy. A perfect service with a small care staff and little touches that really please. The comfort, the landscapes, the gastronomy, the calm everything is there to spend a great stay. I recommend 100%.

The Bistrot du Lavoir, yesterday noon on the terrace a simple and warm welcome, attentive waiters, a sommelier of good advice, listening and very smiling. Everything was perfect including the weather.

We had a terrible experience at this hotel that demonstrates its poor management, largely incompetent staff, and utter lack of customer service. I’ll focus on the major issues — ahead of arrival, the hotel did not communicate how many of the facilities were closed due to COVID-19 (nor was it indicated on their website). Only one of the three restaurants was operating and we couldn’t get reservations there for each night of our stay (problematic because there are no other restaurants in the immediate area). Guests were only able to reserve gym access by hiring their private trainer for 70 euros an hour. The spa—the main draw of the estate—was almost fully booked and we were unable to get the services we wanted (most hotels of this caliber call you beforehand to make sure their guests can benefit from their facilities versus the public). Examples of other issues that were very surprising for a five star hotel — the reception called early in the morning to ask a question about room cleaning, waking us up. There were many times throughout the visit where the front desk did not pick up our phone calls, making it necessary for us to walk to the desk (you had to contact the desk to make reservations for the pool, tennis court, etc). On the final bill, we were wrongly charged for multiple items, which we luckily realized and got corrected. We did manage to get a booking for massages at the end of our stay, and were extremely disappointed in the spa as well.

A beautiful, serene spa located amongst vineyards, a hotel, two restaurants within beautiful grounds. The spa is modern, comfortable, clean and relaxing. I enjoyed both a body treatment and facial and my technician (Camille) was professional and highly skilled. I work in the beauty industry, have had many treatments over the years and this was hands down one of my best experiences ever.

THE place to stay! Amazing Gastronomy, a restaurant for any occasion — two with Michelin stars. Beautiful rooms and grounds and superb service.

So we had to have a room change the first night and we left a do not disturb sign on the door to go swimming and be able to gather our stuff after a swim. We returned to the room and there were 4 people in the room putting everything in bags to bring to the other room. A few days later we realized that a silver bracelet we had purchased in Mexico on a recent trip was missing. I wrote the hotel and they assured us that it was impossible that anyone on their staff would have done such a thing. They also assured us that no one would ever enter the room if there is a do not disturb sign on the door. That we knew was not true because three other times our room was entered once while we were in the room and two times when we were not. It was easy to find out because we set a trap on the door that showed that someone had entered when we were out. They asked us to believe them which was difficult because on check out there was an extra 1800 euros in spa charges and 200 euros in breakfast room service charges. Then they had the audacity to imply that I was lying to them about the bracelet. What a shame that a hotel of their repute has to stoop so low to try to steal money and hire people who they can't trust and them have to cover for them… BE CAREFUL IF YOU GO THERE Lock up your belongings and check you bill very carefully. Aside from that it is a nice place with a nice pool even if the service at the pool is non existent and the food is more hype than good.

Very beautiful place and a good location (not far from Bordeaux… Or the airport) The staff was very helpful and competent. (English speaking) We enjoyed the decor and theme… The art and the little attractions they have were all to my taste. The food was not always amazing… EXCEPT FOR THE DESSERT! It was extremely good! The Millefeuille was the best I have ever had. And the other desserts at breakfast were very good too.

A very special place within a huge vineyard chateau in Bordeaux. With a 2 Michelin restaurant. Superb organic local wine. Owned and operated by an ex Olympic skiing couple with meticulous attention to authenticity. Cannot recommend enough.

We had a wonderful evening in a very worked environment, but that puts nature in the spotlight, with a tasteful imprint at every corner. The teams are in small care, the hotel is perfect and the table of the wash has booked us a perfect dinner.

We had a great stay here. The place is very well kept, full of character and beautiful. The rooms are of good size and well kept. Food is great, enjoyed it very much. Service of staff was very good, friendly, helpful and very detailed. A very enjoyable stay indeed, compliments to management team & staff.

Accustomed, the kitchen is always as FI e and delicious… a special mention for asparagus and boiled egg and dessert on the theme of ke rhubarb… Thank you, sir.

I had a magnificent time — from the warm welcome and attention from Anais to the exquisite dinner (as I was dining alone I had a special table and a book on the property waiting for me. The Maitre D was so generous he gifted it to me). The spa scrub is a must and I enjoyed my facial. This morning I took a bike ride on the vineyard and as moved to tears in the sacred beauty. Fiona makes breakfast warm and friendly. The property has a serene essence and refreshed me at my core.

We just got back from 2 nights at Les Sources. An exceptionally beautiful hotel in the most idyllic setting. But a five star hotel? Probably not. We had originally booked a room in Le Thil and were not told until 3 days before that, in fact, no shuttle between Le Thil and the main hotel existed. When we asked about the BMW referenced on the Mr. And Mrs. Smith website through which we had booked (which says "ask at reception and a chauffeur-driven BMW i3 will take you to the main hotel (at an extra cost) "), the concierge was quite rude in telling us that the website was mistaken and that no such car existed. As we did not want to spend an extra 200 euro to rent a car (particularly for a wine holiday), this was quite a problem for us. Any other five star hotel would have readily acknowledged their mistake and arranged for a shuttle. When the concierge could offer no help, I went back to Mr. And Mrs. Smith who ultimately worked with the hotel to upgrade us to a comfort room in the main hotel. The upgrade was of course very much appreciated and all is well that ends well, but for the amount of money we were planning on spending at the hotel, this interaction left a bad taste in our mouths. Surely it would not cost much to put a shuttle in place for those staying at Le Thil. Otherwise, our visit was wonderful.

The grounds and spa are absolutely lovely, although overpriced, but the food was completely disappointing. I got serious food poisoning from either the tapas bar, Rouge, or their Bistro. We tried several different things on two nights at the Bistro but found the food overpriced and terribly mediocre. But last night it actually made me sick. I’ve just spent the past 15 hours with my head in the toilet, at the hotel, at the airport, on the airplane. Thank you for your high standards that ruined my vacation. I highly question the hotel’s supposed 5-Star rating. Have you ever started at a 5-Star hotel that serves watery scrambled eggs and refuses to make eggs to order, other than for a fee? For over €600 for a suite, a soft boiled egg isn’t a high expectation. Nor is taking in in the luggage from the car. Or having functioning internet. Ours didn’t work well for three days in the room but also in the other buildings. The staff were nice but not able to help. I won’t come back. I’m not sure who’s luxury this is but definitely not mine. Really disappointing experience.

Hotel Deluxe, Bodega, spa, non stop tapas bar, rural Bistrot and 2 Michelin star restaurant, all personal project of Mathilde and Bertrand Thomas, owners of Caudalíe, surrounded by vineyards and organic vegetable garden. You can also go by bike to visit the elegant chateaux of the surrounding area, such as the Chateau Smith HAVT Lafitte. Another option is to taste the culinary specialties of your chef. But it is certainly best to enjoy the Caudalíe beauty spa Ritual, in its renovated spa. The first in the world that exploits the properties of the grapes for their treatments and beauty products. Exclusive in the only two Spa Caudalíe: Les sources de Caudalíe in Bordeaux and Hotel Plaza NY.

The kitchen is good of course. It lacks a little presentation. The service is not up to the two stars.

The place calls for calm and relaxation.

A wonderful time spent in the restaurant, the kitchen is just excellent and very good quality, the waiters are on the alert, smiling, good advice and very nice. Very pleasant setting right in front of the chimney, at the top! I would come back with pleasure!

Very chic complex has a 2 star restaurant, in the midst of a pleasant and relaxing setting.

Good location, very pretty hotel, food is good at the hotel restaurant. But service is pretty bad.

When you get a room with almost zero aircon 1 night, you get a little upset. When you get it the 2nd night as well being told it was fine. Well not sure how many react but it certainly is not 5 star reaction with this service. The day time manager made me feel like they were doing me a favour splitting my family up and putting us in different accomodation. The food, the grounds, most rooms and staff are fantastic. The old room we had was very disappointing with almost no aircon and very poor bathrooms… perhaps 2 star standard for this… just don't book one of those rooms!

The most beautiful and blissful place. Staff are very polite and can't do enough for you. Hop on a bike and explore incredible vineyards and adjoining forests or laze in the 5* spa, where the treatments and products are out of this world… heaven! Scrupulously clean hotel and totally unique. My husband and I have been to many beautiful hotels but we consider this our favorite to date. Thinking this may become our regular retreat… only 1 hr from Gatwick too! Merci beaucoup les sources de caudalie.

Magnificent magic of the wash-house passing through the Grand'Vigne where the flavors explode in the mouth it is only happiness. Warm and stylish home completes a flawless set.

Really pleased with the delivery of care. The staff who welcome you are very professional, as well as the one who makes us care. Presentation, explanations and professionalism are at the rendezvous. Care is practised with great attention and discretion. I had a half day that delighted me, and I am already planning to go back every month for a specific care. Thanks to Marine who was remarkable, gentle, thoughtful, attentive and effective. It feels good at home. Bravo, because you stay the same over the years.

Luxury hotel among vineyards.

Amazing place. Out of time, quiet, elegant, not bling bling. The staff is discreet, effective, with nice touches for the clients. The environment is absolutely charming. The indoor pool is sublime. The only downside is the brasserie "La table du lavoir", which one would expect a better service and dishes.

We have just returned from a fantastic three days at Les Source De Caudalie. I am not usually good at writing reviews but, such was the level of service here, I felt the need to this time. The hotel is beautiful, the staff charming and the location perfect for a short escape from the world. Thank you for a lovely visit.

Great place. Very comfortable rooms. The staff is attentive and discreet. The indoor pool was beautiful. Despite that the place has no history, and be constructed of any room, the hotel avoids the effect dineyland through the achievements of good taste, without too much ostentation.

I completely fell in Love with Les Source de Caudalie and will be back again real soon! Their service is impeccable. Right away I was greeted in their beautiful lobby by smiling faces. I had the feeling I was returning home. One of the things that impressed me the most was the food, which was cooked to perfection. My room overlooked the lake and was so comfortable to sleep in. They also have a really cute little gym for those who want to get a little exercise in. I saw some reviews below from silly people who are either not well travelled or just like to complain. I have stayed in really nice places all around the world and Les Source is one of the places I really want to come back to again and again. I am already figuring out my vacations for 2017 and how I can fit in a week there. This will be one of the most special places you ever visit.

Exceptional setting in the heart of the vineyards of Chateau Smith top Lafitte. The pool is just amazing. In the kitchen, the gastro signed Nicolas mass is exceptional also. Other offers of restorations on the spot more accessible price level but nevertheless very good: Table of the wash house and bar Tapas red.

This hotel is amazing. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms and grounds are very well appointed. Food and service is wonderful at all 4 of its eateries. The Spa is beautiful and treatments not disappointing. The 3 pools, bar, wine/tapas bar, pool, 2 restaurants and relaxing pond all surrounded by vineyards almost kept us from my favorite sport biking to wine tasting at wineries. We just wanted to do more "nothing" as the grounds were so calming and charming. I would highly recommend this property to anyone spending some time in Bordeaux.
