Very Bad staff in reception. Inconsistent prices. From 2-day stay with Booking. Com, I decided to extend for 4 more days and that was the time my nightmare started (with proofs) : 1. I requested the reception a discount so that I will book to them directly and not with my booking. Com. He agreed and he said it is the same inclusions. The following morning, while I was taking breakfast with friends somebody approached me handing over the receipt for my payment for breakfast. Thus, the reception eliminated the breakfast for my reservations (take note that I booked with booking. Com including breakfast) 2. Harrasment. 3. I paid for 4 nights already and on my 4th night, the reception came to my room and asked me for my payment in the last night. As per him, I only paid 3 nights. Since I came from being asleep, I took my card and pay. Then I realized I already paid everything. I checked on my receipt and it is showing I am paid for 4 nights so I immediately go towards the reception to complain. 4. Instead of claiming their mistake, the reception repeatedly insist that I did not pay the 4th night while other people (guests) are watching us as I was desperately and exhaustedly explaining to the reception my side. Then the manager interfered. I showed him the receipt of my payment and he agreed with me. 5. Frequent deactivation of my card. 6. They gave me Feeling that I am unsafe in Ramses Hilton.

Excellent location, Good rooms but toilets need refurbishing. There are service issues especially in the room from housekeeping and front office. The Indian restaurant namaste is good and the service is also very fast.

The treatment of the people here is excellent the place is very clean the rooms are excellent.

Leaky shower, faulty air conditioning, jammed doors, unhelpful, bordering on rude reception staff. Crowded lobby, long queue to check in. The list is long. If you have an early flight, do not choose this place.

We have been catfished. The room is old and doesn’t look like the picture. There is hair in the bed and the carpet is dirty looking with stains. The suite doesn’t even have a hair dryer or room service menu. Very disappointed not at all what I would have expected for the price we are paying. The Hilton has gone down hill.

I will never do it again my air condition sound like a train and I complain then to change my room two days later the lounge was empty the best thing in the hotel room service everybody else was looking for tips even the cops downstairs.

Food is aweful, room service guys are amazing, very slow check-in process.

A very modern hotel, super spacious facilities, pleasant spaces, has a 24-hour bank, a very comfortable room, a very varied breakfast, a spectacular view of the city of Cairo and the friendly staff.

The garage is in the mall across from the hotel so you actually have to park your car, carry your luggage and walk all the way to the hotel.
Street infront of the hotel is sooo dirty. Rooms didn’t have the supplies needed, a room for 2 has only one mug.
The room had so many flies.
No toothbrushes/toothpaste
No slippers
Even though all the supplies are available, they don’t put them there on purpose so that the housekeeper would get tips.
The room is way too expensive for the quality and the experience.
Balcony has no chairs!
After check out, we went back to the garage with our luggage, and you have to pay 125 parking fee😂 you have to pay for your misery.

Unhelpful staff, they didn’t care.

Great services I recommend to try.

Don't come to this place. They are scammers they were trying to take the insurance money laying that we used some drinks in the swimming pool but we had to make a big problem for it and after long time struggling we took it back eventually.

Rooms smelled like smoke, AC leaked onto carpet. Only redeeming quality is the fact you have somewhere to sleep that's not outside. Staff are slow, and unorganized. Took me 15 minutes of waiting in line to check out. Hilton honors members look elsewhere. Generate points at JW Marriott. Way nicer hotel.

The hotel has a nice location on the banks of river Nile but currently construction going around make the surrounding mess. Be prepared for a long wait during check-in. The rooms are bigger and good. The breakfast buffet is A class with live counters and lot of different variety of food and live music. Hotel has everything one could wish for like gym, spa, saloon, casino, pool, indian restaurants, taxi service, bank, atm. Stayed for 1 month in this hotel and was never bored. The staff are nice and helpful.

Chef and Shireen, from the Executive Lounge morning staff, are the most outstandingly efficient, friendly and helpful Hilton staff I've ever encountered. The breakfasts are so delicious and the cheerful morning banter started me off to a great start everyday. I would definitely pick Hilton Hotels as my go to Hotel after the amazing experience I had, along with all of my family, in the Executive Lounge of the Hilton Ramses.

Poor service in the check-in (be patient, I've waited for almost two hours). The rest of the hotel was quite good including the breakfast (buffet). The club located in the top floor is nice. Nile looks great as well If you get a room with views!

Excellent clean hotel; it's undergoing renovation at the moment. Most of the staff are more then happy to help you. The food is tasty, clean and prepared to your liking. Once the renovation are done I would rate this hotel 5/5 but until then it is 3.5/5.

Take your ear plugs with you because the cairos traffic (horn signals) will bother you even if you are on the 36 flour… Excellent view and excellent restaurants in the hotel complex.

This is a secure location. To drive into the hotel you have to make is past security which includes bomb sniffing dogs and metal detectors. Once you get into the hotel be prepared for an extremely long wait to check in. I have never waited so long to check into a hotel. The staff could care less about how long you wait or your level of frustration. They are too busy chatting with others. The rooms are old an run down. You can see water damage and the carpets have begun to pull up. There is a night club on the top floor. The volume and bass are both cranked up to 11 but the sound is isolated to the floor. Just don't go here expecting to find more than 1 or 2 women. The breakfast spread is nice with good variety. This is one of the older hotels in town and despite having fantastic views you can find much better places to stay.

The hotel lobby and concierge lounge were nice. There's a money exchange on the ground floor that came in handy as well as a small gift shop with reasonable prices. It wasn't necessary to haggle too much as I did with most other shops in Egypt. The lobby attendants will assist you with taxi services. Don't use it. Uber was always half the price. The concierge staff were friendly and fed us well. The food was fresh and always delicious. Room service was a hit or miss. Sometimes I received washcloths sometimes I didn't. After two days into my stay, I was given a used complimentary toothpaste/toothbrush set. You read that right. The set was used. It was packaged nicely, but when I opened the box to remove the toothbrush, the plastic housing it was opened and it already smelled like toothpaste. In addition, the rooms were old and there was a leak in my bathroom. Almost forgot to mention, the rooms facing the Nile, also face a bus depot. It was extremely noisy. I was moved to a higher floor where the noise wasn't as bad. The Egyptian museum is across the street from the hotel, but good luck getting there. Crossing the streets surrounding the hotel was quite difficult. Even as a New Yorker, I had difficulty getting across.

It is a good hotel with comfortable rooms, one suggestion: request high floor, the traffic noise is very strong. It is very well located, close to the old Egyptian Museum, and I recommend the English style public that is inside the hotel, also the dining room or a la carte is very good.

Wonderful service and beautiful pool area! The only drawback is that rooms facing the Nile are _loud_ (ie lots of cars honking their horns). You sort of get used to it, but if you are looking for a quiet hotel stay, I wouldn't advise a Nile-facing room. Rooms are a little outdated, but clean and spacious. Our experience was not very good, one hour to check in at three in the morning, they give us a room for smokers and separate beds, the carpet, towels, sheets… all with smell of tobacco, in the Ajencia we had said that we would have views, as the views were to a C Allejon dark with a wall in front of the balcony, we asked for room change and they refused. Otherwise always very elegant, polite, glamorous… but it seems that they do not go the Spanish, a lot of security at the entrance. The meals if you pay you are expensive, and by the way no one in the whole hotel speaks Spanish.

Excellent hotel… In a high-rise tower overlooking the River Nile, this upscale hotel is a 10-minute walk from the Egyptian Museum. It's also a 12-minute walk from Tahrir Square. With classic decor and city views, the relaxed rooms offer balconies. They also have minibars, TVs and free Internet access. Upgraded rooms add Nile views and pull-out couches, while club-level rooms add lounge access. Suites offer sitting areas and/or kitchenettes. Room service is available. There are 4 restaurants, including 1 with panoramic city views. There's also a pub and a cafe. Other amenities include a gym, an outdoor pool and a casino.

Wonderful breakfasts from 7 to 11 with freshly squeezed juices, served for breakfast and meat and soup and fruit. The staff are attentive and courteous. :) 's heated basain

It's a good place if you come on business. And you have to be in town.

The breakfast is an amazing buffet and the common areas are great but the rooms are pitiful, very old and little furniture. Doesn't seem to live up to what should be a Hilton.

As a tourist the hotel is situated in downtown Cairo which is very crummy. The surroundings is where most of the sightseeing is so full marks for location. But the environment is a very polluted and the traffic makes coming and going a nuisance. The hotel itself is very old and definitely needs a facelift. The lobby, restaurants and rooms are dated and not as per the Hilton standards elsewhere. Having said that the hotel rooms were extremely clean comfortable and functional with no faults. The food was very good too at the restaurants and the breakfast was to die for. If there is anything I would come back to Egypt for it’s the breakfast at the Ramses Hilton. Also the view from the bar on the top floor is gorgeous.

Rooms are ok. Outdated but clean and tidy. Some of the furnishings are a little tired and could do with being replaced. Best think here is the roof top bar. It’s lovely! Gives a stunning view over the city and a nice place for watching the sunset. Also tried the Sherlock bar, which is fine.

If you are of 30 years old or more you will realize this place as one of the first of its kind in Egypt. The 80's generation know Ramses Hilton as high class shopping mall where we used to hangout. The cinema complex at top floor was and still one of the best places to watch movies in high quality image and Dolby sound. Nice classy enjoyable place.

It is a somewhat outdated hotel despite belonging to the Hilton chain and has many things to improve. But all in all it brings together excellent restaurants and excellent attention. The rooms are non-smoking but despite that the smell of tobacco is intense in each of them. It has a bank to be able to make changes within the Hotel which is very convenient besides a book store and a souvenir shop.

Excellent views and staff attention. If you need to mobilize in a taxi, they ask for one there. It is safe and the button is in charge of translating to Arabic if necessary. It has a bank inside the hotel itself.

Old school Hilton that is pretty run down. The price do compensate for it. The Hotel has several restaurants, cafés and a pub. For quality is very average. The breakfast is served late until 11am which is nice. The quality again is not very high but is ok for a few days. Gym seemingly has sufficient equipment however the quality of some of the machines is very low, to the point that it is a health hazard for you! That should be addressed. In addition, when I used the gym there was no AC working which makes it an unnecessarily exhaustive experience. They do take a good care of their Hilton Honors status members.

Rooms are no longer so great, small cosmetic repairs are needed, but they are great. The roof top bar is class with good service and brilliant views!

Hotel in a place strategically located by the River Nile, friendly treatment, a paste only there is Wi-Fi in common places, not just understand why it does not reach the rooms.

Overpriced for Egypt in all ways. We went for their Xmas dinner. We knew it would be expensive but we assumed it would be very good for the price. It wasn’t. It was just ok but their prices are about 4 times more than average. To make things worse, when we asked about the dinner they told us that it would cost 350 plus service charge of 12% and tax of 14%. Of course that’s expensive but it’s what we planned on. When we paid though there was another 10% added on. When I asked at the restaurant why, they told me it was a government tax, which I felt was a lie. Then I asked downstairs at the concierge why we charged 10% more than told and they admitted it was a special event fee. Which is crazy since they already charged more than normal since it was a Xmas dinner. Simply put, this hotel takes advantage of tourists. Avoid and give your money to the smaller more honest places. Hilton as a company should be ashamed.

The rooms and the whole building are really old and need maintenance and renovations badly. Everything about the furnishing is worn out. The bathroom, too, is very old and needs a good plumbing job. The bed is too hard, and the pillows not comfortable. We took a city view room and the view is rather horrible. The highlight of our stay though was the breakfast buffet… Amazing variety of delicious food, freshly cooked and hot, freshly baked bakery of every kind, a fresh juice bar and an omlette station to serve all your needs and to complete the experience: live music by an excellent harpist. The view from the restaurant is much better, overseeing the Nile and the Cairo tower. Honestly, the breakfast is a total hit.

Found it value for money. Ideal location — walking distance to Nile river side, down town, Tahrir square & Egyptian Museum. The rooms are quite spacious, occupied a twin bed room with a Nile River view. The buffet breakfast is pretty good too. Hope they improve Wifi signal strength all around the rooms, very difficult to access in the rooms compared to lobby level.

A very central hotel (a few minutes from the Cairo Museum) and with good facilities.

Absolutely a rubbish hotel. Rooms are decrepit. Food is terrible. Service is poor. Internet dysfunctional. Every room is a smoking room whether it is or not because they vent the smoke from one room to another. We were suffering. I gave one star because the guy housemaid made cool dinosaur designs out of the towels for my kids.

I just came back from my first trip to Egypt, where I stayed at the Ramses Hilton (Cairo), the service was amazing, everyone is smiling at you and working hard to make your stay the best experience you wish for, they have everything you might need, restaurants, a casino and a pool, every hotel has these services, but the employees over there are just humanly appalling and will welcome you with an open heart and a serve you with a big smile whenever you need them. It’s a hotel that I will come back to on my next trip to Egypt, I give it 5 stars.

We stayed at this Hilton as group in July 2017, and I will go back. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. From the general manager of the hotel to the bell captain, all were trying their best to make our stay better. The manager of the Tourist department went out of his way to accommodate us, The breakfast was very nice and generous. The restaurant by the Pool was amazing. We are planning to go back and its all because of these wonderful people.

Luxury Hotel, but, at this time something outdated. For example, the bathrooms in the rooms. Downtown. With a lot of extra services. Good views of Cairo and the Nile. Good restaurants and service.

I spent 2 nights on Ramadan month at the Hilton Ramses, the room was very elegant and the bed is extremely comfortable. Good designed bathrooms provided with the required personal washing tools. The food variety and quality were highly satisfied as well as Ramadan drinks and food were presented. The Air conditioners have a disadvantage, as I can not change the degree or the air flow as my need, only there were 2 options of air flow (low and high). The total review of the hotel is an awesome hotel in the middle of cairo with the fantastic view on the Nile.

The hotel is near the Egyptian museum and Tahrir square. It has good view from the top floors. If you stay ask for room in the upper floors and river view so you don't wake up when the prayers start on the morning. The staff is very friendly but the rooms need a renovation. They haven't need renovated since the hotel was open. We booked two tours with the concierge and everything was hassle free.

Hilton Ramses is one of the oldest hotel in Middle East and there is no thing wrong with that as you can smell the taste of old ages people. Every thing is available in the hotel from pool, restaurants, cafes … etc. Hotel location is very big advantage as it is in the heart of the city and near to every where. Negative : They are allowing smoking every where even in the elevator. They are serving shisha in the lobby, this is really affecting image of hotel and hospitality mindset on Egypt. Reception is super busy and only two agents to serve many guests. Chefs at buffet are not much friendly especially the chef at juice counter in morning time. The building from outside needs to be washed from time to take me.

Worst experience ever / was there on the 21st of March 2016. First room I got in had mosquitos and other weird insects on the ceiling. They brought bif baf and sparied the room and wanted me to sleep in it I had rash from insects bites and smell of the bif baf will definitely wake up dead if I stayed there the whole night. Moved me to another room while am allergic to cigarettes that was for smoking. Moved to a third room that had the worst dirty carpet. Bed sheets full of little hair and a toilet that I could not use which was not cleaned since ages ago I have everything documented on video and photos. And will never book there again. Worst one night ever could not even sleep from the traffic noises / Dalya Qaddoumi.

Ramses Hilton occurred in downtown minutes from tahrier square and Egyptian museum, the hotel is nice but need to be renewed.

Very good Hotel, as expected. The location is perfect to explore Central by night Cairo by foot.

I spent 4 nights in this hotel and from my arrival I experienced a lot of destress. The receiptionist could not find my reservation and I had to pay again while I did prove them my reservation and payment. Room was not clean, and bathroom was not easy to use, due to old pipes and facilities. on the top of all I could not sleep because of noises of traffic and fan. I do not recommend this hotel even to my enemy.

It's 5 stars hotel in downtown, but its area is a little bit crowd and noisy, and the hotel need some renovations.

This business class hotel specialises in short stays, normally people travelling from Luxor for a few nights. The lobby area is magnificent; spacious and usually very busy it is a great place to enjoy coffee and a bit of 'people watching'. The Sherlock Holmes pub is a quaint but very pleasant place for a drink and a snack. The food is of a very good quality, rooms are very comfortable and clean and most have magnificent views of the city. The 'Windows on the World' has incredible views of the city by night and even if guests don't have a drink or cocktail there, it's worth taking the elevator up there for the view.

I stayed there in 1992. It was a lovely experience. I met some very interesting people and the staff were great — especially Dahlia the receptionist — and who could forget mishmash the shoe-shine boy! Oh it was just lovely.

“Very Helpful Staff” Stayed 2 nights in this hotel the last week. Found this hotel very nice and clean. The staff was always trying to help and seemed really eager to make sure we were having an enjoyable stay. The buffet breakfast that was included in our stay was a full breakfast that was really wonderful every morning over looking the Nile. The beds were really very comfortable. The rooms had a nice little balcony that you could stand out on. Special Thanks to all Reception staff under leadership of Mustafa Khalaf. Wish all the best for all.

Like it so much, it's my favorite in Cairo I'm there every 2 months whenever I have a meeting there excellent customer service specially mr. Mohamed loloa and ahmed.

Casino is terrible. A few roulette tables and trashy machines. They won't take Egyptian Pounds but they ALSO won't take them to convert? Terrible customer service. If your white your getting a drink after all the local "premadonnas" are served. Save your money and go where they are willing to give you service for your money.

Bad service, not to mention the pasotismo and how to ignore us and laughing in our face, in a room where the reservation was a triple (the reserve could do with extra bed where the price was lower) 3 person slept in an extra child bed and not gave us or bed clothes, and when they brought it after 60 minutes was not worth. 6 nights sleeping an adult in such circumstances, claiming the hotel and without any intention to resolve the issue, knowing how it is tourism in Cairo should take care of it a little more. We never stay in this hotel. Of shame

In 1981 the Hotel was still under construction on the top floors. We stayed at the hotel for approximatly a month while our new appartment was being completed. I used to climb the stairs up to the top floor suites and stare out over Cairo and watch the city go by. The staff was wonderful, food was impecible (I fondly remember the snapper). One day I would like to return.
