Clean and kind staff, attentive, and helpful.

Very old hotel I do not recommend. I don't know how they got 5 stars!

Very qualified guest relations, especially Mrs. Abeer Fahmy who did everything to improve the hotel image and rating without humiliating herself, great clap for her.

Reachable and near to the important places like Zoo, university and Nile river in addition to quit place with hospitality people moreover the food is delicious and swimming pool is small but more than enough. Beside free sauna and gem.

The hotel staff are very friendly despite the language difference. The food quality is good and well balanced. The accomodation facilities are really good.

Decent breakfast, outdoor pool, clean rooms, free Wi-Fi, lack of TV on Russian.

Not the best. Not very clean. Very bad view. Very small pool. It is only good if you have some business to do in the area and have to spend the night. The staff is actually very friendly and helpful but the hotel's resources are very limited.

Bad attention, bad treatment. We got a room without changing the sheets from the previous guest. There were water bottles in the middle of the previous guest. All Dirty! By claiming it. Three employees came and apologizing they started cleaning up and changing the sheets while we were inside. We planted that we wanted another room and the one in charge insisted that there was no reason. We had to stay there… we insisted until we moved to the new room… we arrived and inside there were people changing the sheets. Then they withdrew. Later we were left with the personal hygiene stuff thrown in the room door. They never tried to reward their ill-treatment.

2 subway stations to the museum, 15 km to the pyramids of Giza. Good breakfast. Rooms are clean according to Egyptian standards. Good shopping facilities. Very urban location.

My name is Magi, a previous guest from Kuwait, and I am writing through my son's account as I had personally stayed there for 6 nights during the month of March. To be quite honest it was a very pleasant experience especially for the price that they charge. I feel that with the fair pricing along with great service and attention to cleanliness/ detail that it puts Safir at the top amongst the greatest of great! This is where I would like to give special thanks and consideration to Yehya the receptionist as he had given remarkable assistance and services for the guests including myself. Such a cheerful and perky character who would make anyone feel welcome. With amenities such as prompt house keeping, safe ambiance, and absolutely delectable breakfast, I am sure that many would find this place as a haven to stay in. With that in mind, I highly recommend this hotel for families with its safety and well accomidating rooms.

Service is very good. Staff are very friendly. Arabic Live music each time. Rooftop pool area with very good setting and mid quality furnishing. Good for a first date, evening with friends or family. Not too pricey, range of 150 for two people.

Great Central Location. Nice place overall. Just wish the guests are more balanced mix but that doesn't affect your stay.

Very good. It's really luxury. Don't worry so much about women's clothing. It's not as castrating as it says. And they don't respect the queues to serve breakfast. It's another culture.

One of the great hotels in Cairo with funny location. Deserve more than 4 stars. Everything is fabulous from the moment they help you with your luggage entering the hotel to the moment you leaving and saying bye. Basically one of the best hotels I stayed in at Cairo. (Business traveller)

I had a great stay at this hotel. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. They always go above and beyond to help with any questions or anything you need. From the moment I walked through the doors I felt at home. The front desk, housecleaning, room service, breakfast staff + everyone else all do a great job. Thanks for a great stay. The rooms are very clean, beds are comfortable and the buffet breakfast spread is delicious — definitely a great way to start your day before sightseeing throughout Cairo. Thank you to the team at Safir Hotel. I will be back.

I would recommend this hotel, especially for Muslim travelers. It is one of only 2 5-star hotels that don’t serve alcohol and there is a masjid on the 1st floor. The price is great, and it’s very beautiful from the inside. The location isn’t the best, and it was annoying having to go through the metal detector every time. However, overall it was a nice stay. Also, the breakfast was awesome. Note to fellow guests: Staying in a nice hotel doesn’t give you license to be rude to the staff. You’re not better than them, and it’s disheartening to see this is a Muslim country.

We enjoyed our stay at Al Safir! The reception hall is beautiful. The staff is very helpful and friendly! Our room was spacious and very clean the view was also beautiful. We received complimentary fruits from the hotel which was unexpected and nice. The hotel also had good security at the entrance. Location of the hotel is good, not far from the main tourist spots. The hotel had an excellent breakfast buffet selection with a variety of dishes. Overall very satisfied and highly recommend this hotel!

We had a great time at this hotel. Attentive staff, concerned with the well-being of the customer, at our service for any request. Breakfast varied and very good. Comfortable and well insulated room. The free Wi-Fi works fine. Heated swimming pool, spa, Hammam. The neighborhood is a little scary at first and the streets are dirty but it's still a quiet area. The price is quite correct compared to the benefits. Parking available but not quite free (always give something in Cairo…). The location is impeccable between old Cairo and the pyramids.

Old Cairo Charm with off-beat location. Lots of options for breakfast. Nice balcony for all the rooms. Fully equipped bathroom. Very friendly staff. Only 1 Mb of free Wifi. This one is non-alcohol hotel.

Extremely kind and professional team. Above average clean room and showers. Food and beverage were very affordable. Front desk were really helpful. Yet 2 points worth mentioning: — Taxi has to go around many blocks to get to entrance… but this is acceptable knowing that hotel is at the heart of extremely busy neighborhood. — Wifi was very slow.

The truth is that the location of the hotel is not the best… Although for everything you have to use taxi. Just arrived we asked at reception about which sites we had nearby to be able to try the local food and the man's response was "and why don't you eat at the hotel? And the second thing he said to answer that we wanted to take a tour of the city was to tell us "about 100 meters you have a McDonalds" after we went to ask for tours to a table, and the man gave us a price quite above what we had seen. Which made Cogiesemos no tour of the hotel and Cogiesemos on our own. They just do intermediaries. The room was not bad, not the bathroom. As for the breakfast I was quite annoyed and fact that we were not told that there were two eaters, one for "cold food" and another for hot food. And until the last day we saw him and the manager of the dining room saw me with a face of amazement nonse came to tell me that there was another different dining room (which I didn't need anymore because I had just seen it with my own eyes) Another of the things that bothered me is that we added a More Hotel night and instead of charging for an overnight. We made another reservation so we had to pay the price of the room that night at hotel price and not at internet price as we hired it and then charged us the rates for tourists, which we had already paid in the initial booking.

I had booked 2 rooms for 3 adults and 1 child giving, age, name, gender etc… but on arrival hotel charged extra for the second person for both the rooms. Website displayed rate without taxes and it is specified in the details. But when the rooms shows two person accommodation, don't understand why charged extra. So, I feel, there are many hidden charges — in this website or hotel, not sure.

I loved staying at this hotel. The staff were all nice and professional and very helpful and attentive. The pool was nice, the live Arabic music at night next to the pool was unique, and the lobby has a 4 star luxurious feel and ambience to it. If you are looking for a rowdy atmosphere or rowdy bar, this is not the place to stay. But if you are looking for an authentic experience in a 4-star Cairo hotel that serves great food, has great service and feels secure, then this hotel will not disappoint. Great family hotel. If you have any issues with your room etc here, simply ask management to help you, and they will/ did! Great group of people here. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to any westerner. The only surprises you find at this hotel are nice ones. I requested a non-smoking floor, was placed on the 8th floor and it was fabulous, clean, cool, and quiet. Not that it matters much, but nice McDonald's, Dunkin Donuts, and Pizza Hut next door, btw. 5 minute cab ride to the city center. Walk and explore the city center, then take the 5 minute cab ride back to this nice hotel for a rest from the unpredictably addicting chaos of Cairo. Apart from the kind people and the great food, the most dangerous experience you are likely to find in Egypt is simply crossing the streets; the traffic is insane.! Thanks Safir for a great stay, and will definitely be staying again in the future.

Excellent staff, unbeatable location a few blocks from the wonderful River Nile, the swimming pool has been a beautiful place to relax and have a bank of its own to change money have been rarely seen amenities.

Its amazing hotel, really me and my wife enjoined staying at safir hotel. staff are so cute and host people, room is so comfortable and well furnished. the house keepers are good peoples and so gentles.

Good hotel that has many great amenities. Ideal for pleasure or business trips. It is close to nearby busy street that has all needful shops. Staff is willing to help you with your needs without asking for tips. Has a small official bank branch that can exchange your money without commissions.

Even thought I arrived at 3am, the welcome was amazing, they had upgraded me to a suite (so nice! ) and made sure I knew where everything was for the next few days. The food for breakfast is very nice, the staff cannot be more welcoming and even though its a nice hotel the restaurant costs are very reasonable. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Very beautiful hotel. Very good value of money I would say. The room was very clean & quiet. The food was also awesome. The location is very good, close from downtown & all historical sight scenes. An underground station is few blocks away (Dokki Station). Swimming pool was also good. I believe it's perfect for honeymooners.

Location is very central. Foods are really PERFECT! Even open buffet has many kinds with a very good taste and quality. Personnel is so kind and helpful. Only negative thing I can tell is the shower cabin being not very comfortable for me personnally. But perhaps it is different in other rooms… Generally it is a great experience…

The security in the hotel are very bad, my friend Laptop was stolen from her in the hotel, and the security team was very bad, they didn't help with any means although they have the face of the robber on their hotel cameras. they didn't even give her the robber face photo which they have to use it to make a report at the police station. what we know now, that any one can access the hotel claiming that he/she from the press and steal what he wants from the hotel, and the hotel security will just stand doing nothing.

No security! Awful treatment! My friend's laptop was stolen and they didn't try even to solve the problem! They should've bought her a new one because it's their mistake but instead they were very rude with her! An advice to anyone searching for a hotel:

We had our company's yearly event held there by the pool. The food was very good, service is fine, and we loved the whole atmosphere.

Clean hotel, staff mostly friendly, nice pool and small gym. They don't offer alcohol.

The staff are very nice with the guests and very helpful too. The rooms are clean & well equipped. Hotel location is distinguished. You will find various kinds of food that taste good.

I gave bad for services because the employee didn't give me more one day to stay in hotel, I was need that day because my airplan delayed! I stay 8 days, and they couldn't add more one day for me! And I informed the employee that I will write my comment online, and he didn't care! Except of that I like the hotel.

It is excellent but its place on the map is wrong as it is located in el messaha square near (Ad dokki metro station).
