The manager is super rude and disparaging to others homophobic. The rooms are not as one expected, is controlled to the air that one breathes. In short, not a very good experience. To be a luxury hotel is a very short description.

The nicest hotel in Puerta Villamilll. Showers were a little strange. Push button that only lasted about 10 to 15 seconds. Otherwise, very nice.

This is a modern hotel with a fantastic view. The room is very spacious and nicely furnished. There is a beautiful pool deck. We dined in for one night and the food was delicious. For breakfast there were plenty of options and the lounge looked out to the lagoon where flamingos might be seen.

Ugh! Don't bother going here unless you want to pay top dollar for a rude manager and all amenities are controlled in the vice-like grip of an accountant. This was presented as the nicest place on the island… maybe it was at one point. I get the eco-friendly thing… so I could put up with the shower that only works while you lean your whole body weight against a button on the wall. I respect that they want to limit laundry, but they wouldn't give us any extra towels beyond the one per person in the room. They told us that if we wanted to use the jacuzzi, we had to provide at least 3 hours notice so they could warm it up (again, I get the eco-friendly thing, but then why even bother). If you wanted to eat dinner at the hotel, you had to let them know in the morning … if you made up your mind around 5pm, which is when most tours get you back to the hotel, the manager refuses you because you didn't make a reservation earlier. And the location is the farthest from town. Oh yeah, and since you can't drink the water, they have one 5 gallon jug for the whole building, that they lock up in the bar after 10pm… so don't get thirsty at night. They DO have an amazing view… but so do a lot of the other restaurants and hotels that have a second floor. Overall… this place sucks. If you want minimal comfort, you can spend a lot less. And there are several other places more comfortable than this place that are cheaper.

At that hotel during our stay in May 2018, we stole $600 dollars from our room. All covered up by the local police, lying that it was the first time, when the same thing happened to an equator marriage.

My husband and I stayed at Iguana Crossing for four nights during our two week honeymoon in the Galapagos. The hotel is absolutely beautiful with amazing views from the front of the beach and the back looks onto a lagoon where flamingos and iguanas frequent. The pool area downstairs and hot tub area and bar upstairs are a highlight. However, when we visited in early June it was a little chilly to get in the pool. Breakfast is provided each morning with eggs cooked to order, coffee, fruit juice, toast, cheese, meats, and fresh fruits. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. Be aware that fresh water is scarce on all the islands in the Galapagos, but especially on Isabella. The showers are on a timer to help you conserve water, so you just have to embrace a conservationist mentality. While the food at the restaurant for dinner was good, I'd recommend going into town to experience more of the local culture at the restaurants on the main road in Puerto Villamil. We absolutely loved our stay at Iguana Crossing and would highly recommend it.

One of the most beautiful hotels Q is in pto villamil-isabela island in the galapagos, the prices per room are between 150 and 300 dollars.

Fantastic access to the beach. It also dug give you access to the port, as well as the city centre. This place is very small anyway so walking pretty much anywhere in town is perfectly fine. There are bikes for rent if you feel it's necessary at various places. If you do then I would recommend using those bikes to go to some of the further stretches that you can ride. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Bugs seem to be a constant problem. It did have a nice little morning breakfast, with hot and cold items.

Great spot, nice clean rooms, good food and facilities, is the place to be on Isabella island. Staff was fantastic, helpful, and very approachable, most tourists who walked by looked jealous… and they should be!

This hotel has everything you need to make your stay in Isabela perfect. Luxurious, spacious and comfortable rooms. Close to the sea and the path that takes you to the parenting center.

Highly recommended food. It's not cheap but it eats better than other places on the island.

If you come, make sure your room faces ocean. The view is worth it. Plus there is a roof top with a 360. We got stuck in one of the rear rooms with no view and no balcony. But that was not fault of hotel but our tour group.

The hotel was okay. Internet on the island is terrible no matter where you go, so that is not the hotels fault, but to use the internet, you have to be in the lobby, restaurant, or bar. We also chose a non-beach view room. Due to the proximity of the room to the dining room, the bathroom was cut in half of the other rooms, to make room for a public restroom. Two of our three windows did not have screens on them, so to get fresh air, we had to invite bugs into our room and there is no place to hang wet stuff to dry. Not sure if there would have been had we had a bathroom the size of the other rooms in the hotel or not, but it made it difficult to clean and hang wet suites, bathing suites, etc… Breakfast was pretty good in the morning and they had a nice selection of two types of fruit, bread, eggs to order, and cereal. The staff was nice and they had towels for use at the beach separate from the room towels. The hotel is the last hotel at the edge of town, so it is nice and quiet and it is right next door to the actual "iguana crossing" and boardwalk along the lagoons. With town being so short, you can walk anywhere you want safely and quickly, even at night.

Great location, very environmentally conscious hotel — which in as beautiful, unspoilt but potentially at risk a location as Isabella is very important. The rooms are lovely and feel luxurious with the one alliance being the shower, though it's habit of turning itself off very quickly is understandable on an island where fresh water is a scarce and valuable commodity. Nice beach bar just down the road and lots of activities to be done around the island for which the hotel provides a great jumping off point.

The hotel is beautiful and the rooms spacious, modern and very comfortable. What is missing in this luxury hotel is the professionalism and the friendliness that in a hotel of this elevatura should not miss. At the reception are struggling to speak English, the welcome is cold and night and in the rooms the Wi-Fi does not work. We tried the jacuzzi on the top floor and the closure (8 pm) we wanted to have dinner in the hotel. Too bad the kitchen was already closed. But we want to fool around? In addition, we asked them to anticipate a little breakfast for us the departure with the tour but nothing to do. A I remember a little bit unpleasant, considering the price paid.

September 2017: On tour with Friendly Planet Travel when we stayed here. Neat and clean and staff was friendly. One odd thing is that in the shower you have to push a button and get about 15 seconds of water so no long showers. Great location by Iguana Crossing Area (good name for the hotel) and we sat outside by the pool watching them crossing to the ocean and then back in the evening. We had a good breakfast with eggs/omelets to order. Nice place with weak free Wi-Fi.

We went to celebrate my birthday and the server didn't pay attention to us. We ordered a bottle of wine and we waited 30 minutes while she was clearing empty tables instead of getting it for us. They forgot to make part of my meal and then my boyfriend ordered a cake at the beginning and when he asked about it after the meal she said oh it would take 20 minutes. She didn't serve us water. We complained to her and she did nothing except say they were busy.

The food and drinks are amazing! It's a lovely and quiet place to hang out, of course after seeing everything else on the island!

My husband and I were thrilled with the hotel. The staff was so friendly and always available when we had questions. The breakfast was DELICIOUS. The reviewer that said it wasn't fresh is insane. The juices are fresh squeezed and they scramble the eggs in front of you. There are also freshly baked pancakes or plantains every morning. All of the food at the hotel was delicious. We ate dinner there once and also ordered sandwiches for snacks once. It was wonderful! The rooms we…re very nice and the beds comfortable. I do wish the rooms had Wi-Fi, but the whole island seems to struggle with good Wi-Fi so it wasn't that big of a deal. The shower takes some getting used to but wasn't too much of a burden. Our room had beautiful views and we loved watching the iguanas cross the road every day. If you take a trip to Isabela, this is the place to stay.

We had a stay of 10 in Isabela thanks to that we stayed at Iguana Crossing. The staff is charming, and deserves a special mention Martin, that was very nice with us. The hotel is lovely and is situated in a unique environment. From the swimming pool of the hotel you can see how to cross the marine iguanas from the lake located in the rear of the hotel (full of flamingos) to the beach. In addition, it has a privileged location facing the sea from which you can see beautiful sunsets. The rooms are perfectly equipped and respects the environment. The breakfast is very complete and used quality ingredients. It is a detail that the eggs are cooked in situ. On the other hand, we were lucky enough to sample some dishes from the restaurant menu and were very surprised. The cooking of Iguana Crossing is a delicious combination of traditional dishes with others from different parts of the world. A place 100% recommended for any stay in Isabela.

This hotel is built upon the main path marine iguanas take in order to reach their foraging grounds. The iguana population has declined dramatically in this area because of the construction of this hotel. This hotel is an example of the corruption of the government of Ecuador as well as the government of Isabela. If you want to stay on the island, find one of the locally owned hotels that are pretty much everywhere in town. You will have a much better time and you will actually support the local economy of the island.
