When we entered our room we discovered that the balcony door did not lock due to being broken into many times. Maintenance gave us a bolt to put into a hole in the doors to keep it closed. That evening I was looking for a light switch in the dark. I touched a outlet and got electrocuted. There was a piece of metal hanging out of the plug. The next morning we left to go on a tour. When we arrived back our money had been taken. Hundreds of dollars. I went over to the safe and tooched it and it fell off the wall. We informed the staff on duty and they said there was nothing they we're going to do about it. The manager on duty also gave us a false name. We continued to complain and say we we're going to call the police and they stated that we would be arrested if we called. We then spoke to the night security manager and they said they would investigate the incident. We later found out he works for the local police. I spoke to a employee at the hotel that says this happens all the time. We then began informing other guests of what happened and to be careful. At that point security and staff began watching us. We also noticed that above the door of our hotel room was a green light that was not on any other door on our floor. I believe they put people in that room to signal thieves. Later that evening we woke to a knock at our door and it was another guest that overheard what had happened.

They are very far from what good customer service refers to.

Access to the Beach is the best part of the hotel. The location is nice and quiet as well.

Gross! The worst, no water in the room, non-existent room service, the water in the bedroom I had to go looking for it every time, the wrinkled sheets, seemed to have been used, has to go inspection and they close it, is a holdup.

It is an old hotel with a very nice architecture, to spend the night not bad lyperate in terms of the Air and the trallas is my opinion, otherwise it is ok.

Love the location & service.

This hotel is conveniently located near the beach and all of Sosua's nightlife action. But it's well overpriced for the quality. The grounds look nice, but the rooms are dated and can use some upgrading. PROS: gym/casino across the street 2 min walk to the beach Nice staff that speak English Helpful staff Located near the Sosua action Several restaurants a few minutes walk away Nice views over the bay/ocean Nice pools on the property Restaurant on the property Taxis/Moto taxis usually standing by Refrigerator/microwave in room Ironing board, but no iron CONS: overpriced (depending on when reserved) Rooms need some updating Showers take 10+ minutes to get warm Tub drains extremely slow & fills with water Unreliable Wi-Fi Internet speeds throttled to 1 Mbps Breakfast is mediocre No couch in room Very few power outlets in room Toilet can barely flush 1 sheet of tissue This is not a bad place to stay. Just need some simple fixes and a reduced lodging cost to increase desirability.

This is hands down the nicest view of Sosúa Beach that you can have. It literally feels like you can jump in the watery from your room. The Victorian House itself is old and needs some repairs but overall it is a great value with an incredible location and a view that you'll remember forever, even on rainy days it's breathtaking.

Beautiful place everything about it was breath taking.

Rooms and banquet facilities, looked abandoned.

Delapitated rough shape, hydro out, front desk never answers, says plasma TV, s we had a 20 in tube mini TV also known as bellman exxtraordinairy hotel. Not one person anywhere could speak any English. Thought someone somewhere. Wife got runs from food. They have sort of kept up pools and front entrance. Hot tub drained and not working kiddie pool drained and not working. Looks like they gave up on 2 other pools. Ugly ugly place.

It was ramshackle. The photos on the Internet were nothing like the actual room.
I found out on day 3 that the hotel is sort of a brothel (a local man clued me in). I won't return.

I enjoyed myself from beginning to end… The food was good. The staff & housekeeping does a great job… I'll be back.

The worst hotel that I have even seen in my life, I went there thinking that everything was just like the pictures that they have online when the true is the hotel looks like a abandoned place all dirty and looking old. Not a good costumer service, they also end the up charging me a lot of money when I didn't even get to enjoy the food bc I had to pay for it individual. I got there my bathroom was dirty I told the guy at the register and guess what they clean it the next day.

Promises more than it offers.

When I saw the view for the first time I was sold for the price you can't beat the view it breathtakingly beautiful and don't forget to ask for the breakfast included rate.
