Heavenly place and personal at the top.

A very nice hotel, it's been 3 times that we go there with different friends. It is always an enchantment, the quality of the staff is impeccable. Thanks to the bar/restaurant team. And to the new leader, as well as to the whole team.

This place is a paradise on earth. The beach view is breathtaking and the rooms are exquisite. This is definitely the best place I’ve visited in the DR so far. Fully recommended.

We never stayed there but we walked in for breakfast and I'm so glad we did not pay the ridiculous prices for this average place.
the food is terrible, small portions, french toast for 350 pesos was a joke, I'd be embarrassed to serve something that looks like someone else's leftover.
breakfast omlete was raw 350 pesos just omelet no bread… are you kidding? we asked for a spoon, never came, they chased us to make sure we pay even though they were holding our passport.
the deck around the pool looks like it's 100 years old and was done by amateurs…
You invest so much money building a hotel and mess up on the small and most important details.
Go to punta cana or vegas and learn a thing or two about the hotel business.

In my country there are many beautiful places, but as Punta Rucia Lodge there are few, for me the best, would come back a thousand times more, the whole place is exquisite and the views it has are breathtaking, not to mention the excellent customer service they have.

Our group of 4 "older adults" enjoyed our 5 day stay at this beautiful location. Cottages are within yards of restaurant, pool and beach.
staff were helpful. There is usually someone on staff who speaks English. Loved sitting beach side under their large umbrellas with built in table for holding those Presidente beers and appetizers ordered and brought out to you by the staff. There are hammocks on beach and in water for your lounging pleasure. We also enjoyed a massage at the spa hut. One night they moved tables to the sand and grilled the food over a fire. Another night, we had them play merengue and we formed an impromptu dance party. Soo fun and relaxing!

Brilliant, I think one of the places most beautiful in santo domingo, exquisite gastronomy and its facilities super clean and beautiful, happy to have chosen this place
their employees are super attentive and polite.

This is my 2nd time staying here and I have to admit I love it. The food is absolutely delicious and the servers and friendly and attentive. The suites themselves are little piece of perfection. Plenty of space, clean, comfortable and family friendly. I had services done at the spa and loved it. What I loved the most was the peace and quiet. You really have the opprtunity to relax and unwind. It's so romantic too!

Other restaurants around so the food is the worst. Frozen microwaved and expensive, $1400 percent in food, we were offered an upgrade when we arrived for $45 more a night it had a jacuzzi but they failed to tell us there’s no hot water to It and it does not work. Lol, each room cam with 2 beach towels and 2 bath towels that were not swapped out for the whole trip, they did come in and put shampoo and soap not sure why no towels
So 3 meals a day the servers spoke no English and we would order one thing and they brought us what ever they wanted to bring. It got completely comical and just gave up they have a nice pool and beach the water is very shallow all the way out past the pier so it’s warm, but I
Would not return just for the fact of hot water and food quality.

Hidden jewel of Dominican Republic — super clean and excellent food. People are very polite and you are left alone to relax. Best part is there are NO TOURISTS…

Beautiful, a paradise, super quiet, perfect to go in couple and group, I put 4 stars because I understand that the breakfast service could have more varieties and perhaps also a 24 hour free snack area and bar open even if it is local drink or refreshments.

Absolutely loved this place. The people are very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are clean, free Wi-Fi in every section of the resort, private beach, amazing pool. The view and the location of the resort is perfect! If you want to be in contact with nature while being comfortable, I highly suggest to consider staying.

This place is beautiful. Excellent for a getaway with your partner. It is a quiet place with a beautiful beach. It is close to Playa La Ensenada if you want to visit a more crowded place. The food is very good and the place is always spotless. Excellent customer service.

Great place to rest. The beach is white and shallow sand; Impressive. I recommend the trip to Cayo Arena by boat.

Nice boutique hotel that offers tranquility & little cute bungalows with ocean views. There's only one restaurant & that was okay for me. However, service needs major improvement! This was a huge disappointment for me. We waited over 1 1/2 hour for a simple platter. There was no apology or price break. Not that we expected one, but it was the least they could do. Otherwise, I really liked the privacy of this hotel as its also connected with the public beach "La Ensenada".

Comfortable, Nice, Good restaurant, Romantic, good tours.

We rented a house nearby and wanted to have a nice beach location to go to. Punta Rucia Lodge is really amazing. The beach and pool area are manicured to perfection and the day rates are quite reasonable because they include lunch and cabana and access to the most beautiful piece of ocean I've seen in the Dominican republic so far. The shallow water goes out for many many meters and there are no rocks or weird sea creatures until you get far out, so it's good for families as well. The bar and restaurant staff are really friendly. The menu is a little formulaic but that's what a typical Dominican menu looks like. I would definitely come here again and recommend it to anyone.

Best retreat! Great beach and location.

Went there for an afternoon, was told we needed a day pass to be able to use the pool and beach area and that it included a meal, which seemed great before the fact. After the fact, the day pass felt overpriced: yes, the place itself was beautiful and very well kept, the reception staff was courteous, the restaurant staff was ok, the lunch menu felt quite basic and restricted, almost like a kid's menu at any major chain restaurant. Had a look at the dinner menu, which was much more sensible with the options. Overall: place is beautiful, but feels overpriced, at least for the day pass option.

I found it to be overpriced for the day pass, lunch menu included is quite basic and the food somewhat undewhelming, service was just average at best. Other that that it has a gorgeous beach front (very very shallow, I guess that could be good for travelers with kids).
