Fantastic place to eat, gluten free friendly. Staff are very nice and the food is amazing. — New owners.
The restaurant has a very picturesque location, situated close to the sluice which was created in 1912 to protect Ribe from flooding. It was a sunny day, we sat outside and admired the view: small sailing craft, summerhouses, rural tranquility.
The restaurant offers a small selection of local dishes in its lunch menu. My choice of Sluseguf: tuna mousse, red onions, capers, horseradish and beetroot, was unusual but tasted delicious. The desserts were excellent. In case of windy weather, there are tables with canvas protection normally used in beach settings, as well as a playground for children. Ideal for a family outing.

The hotel is located about 5 kilometers from Scandinavia's oldest city Ribe. The surroundings of the hotel are really nice, ideal for long walks and bike rides. We had a very spacious room with a balcony overlooking the water. Room was clean and quite new.
Really friendly staff, they made us some extra coffee to take on the long ride home. We had dinner at the restaurant once and it was lovely.
The breakfast was fine, although there were a lot of flies around the cheese and meat. It would have been better if there was something protecting the food.
