It is a unique experience of hospitality in a small village. The house belongs to a wonderful couple — Donna Marie and George — who have been together for 56 years and still look full of energy and joy together, creating the same atmosphere in the house. Surrounded by calming countryside, this place can serve as a nice weekend destination for those who live in Cyprus cities, as was our case. It is also worth visiting for those interested in local cuisine — I recommend ordering dinner at the place (better to request it in advance), as it is tasty and represents Cypriot cuisine very well.
A bit far from everywhere (not a bus or quick taxi trip), so you would need a car for such trip. But it totally worth it.

Having previously visited George and Donna Marie, we knew we wanted to come back and visit again. We drove up (two pre-school kids included) to Vavla to have brunch at Our House. As before we had a beautiful breakfast featuring lots of local ingredients from their own back garden or the many local producers in Vavla. The house and gardens are incredible and we really enjoyed exploring the history of the place and the village with George and Donna Marie. The views across the village and the valley are gorgeous.
We left feeling full and happy. Would highly recommend stopping in. I have never stayed but I'm sure that the accommodation is just as special.
