Best resort in Cayo Coco

By far the best resort in cayo Coco or Cayo Guillermo. The staff is great, so friendly. The hotel is above average, the beach is flawless, and it's a great value. Highly recommend it. — Robert Havana.

I can honestly say that the Grand Muthu Imperial is the best resort I have been too in Cuba. Had reservations coming but gone in a few hours.
Immaculate and the staff have been amazing.

The worst all-inclusive in Cayo Guillermo, Jardines del Rey.

The place is beautiful! We had an ocean view room which also faced the pool. Best thing about Cuba is the service and attention put towards the guests and this resort did not fail in that department. We were greeted by staff in all areas of the resort. The pools were nice. There needs to be more shade around the pool area though especially closer to the pools. Entertainment staff are friendly. Danay, Ilen, and Helen are some of the entertainers who I spoke with during my time there. Tip them! Entertainers hardly get any tips even though we take part in their games and share laughs. The beach is beautiful. Lots of fish to see in the warm water. There is some seaweed on the shore but it's the ocean after all (it's not as bad as the picture someone posted). There were workers building more sun huts while we were there. Everything is done by hand so it definitely takes time. Say hi to Victor at the Beach Bar. He always remembers your drink and is so friendly! There is a kids club where kids can stay for free. Usually child care costs extra in some resorts. The food was mediocre but they do have fresh meats and fish available for grill to order and plenty of fruits that were in season. We did take our own hot sauce though so we put that on a lot of the dishes. Andres and Prabhu always make sure to say hi whenever we come by the buffet. A la carte restaurants were good. We ate at all three. The seafood restaurant was best but the Indian restaurant was good too.

Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo We had the opportunity to visit this resort from March 31st to April 7th 2018. A special thank you to Yalily Pina Alvarez for your help with our room and special requests. It was greatly appreciated. Never booking with Air Transat again. We paid extra to prebook our seats and did not know until we arrived at the airport that we would not be getting the seats booked. The flight down was a nightmare. But this is another review. We cleared customs with no issues and quickly boarded the bus to the resort. The bus was clean and air conditioned with great guides that told you of the area. In about 30 to 40 minutes we arrived at the resort. At the resort we where greeted with a cold drink and continued to check in. Check in was a bit confusing as we dealt with 3 different people. They forgot to give us our wrist bands so we did not have any and where only asked about them on the 2nd last day. Not an issue. The room was beautiful, very clean and nicely appointed. We were in building 5 with an ocean view on the second floor. Bar was always restocked and the room attendants did an excellent job. There were no issues with water although the shower did leak around the bottom. AC worked well and the building was quiet at night. The pool area was always neat and clean. The main pool was an infinity pool with a large area shoulder deep. It was so nice to be in a pool that went past your waist. My only issue here was the lack of shade umbrellas.

I, maybe as you, felt tempted to book some nights here because the hotel was slightly cheaper that the rest and the computer renders looked good. Worst mistake of my trip to Cuba. I’ll try to detail every bad experience I had here, which altogether made for a nightmare. I WAS CONSTANTLY SEXUALLY HARASSED The first day I went to the beach and the lifeguard started following me and asked me to get him a Cuba libre and go to his room to chat with him. Of course I didn’t. I tried to go to the beach again and ignore him but he kept following and harassing me. Please notice that he drinks alcohol while doing his lifeguard job. I went to the hotel party the following night and I had to leave because this man was drunk and kept harassing me. Not being able to go to the beach, I stayed at the pool sunbathing. I went to the pool bar and I asked for a natural juice. The barman said that he was going to make me a papaya juice, then looked at me deeply in the eyes and said “A mi me encanta la papaya”, which is a Cuban metaphor for “I love p***y”. As these were only two of the harassements I received during my stay, I asked the reception staff to move me to another hotel, something I couldn’t do because of an event I will detail later. MY CELLPHONE “DISAPPEARED” DURING THE ARGUE WITH THE HARASSING BARMAN AND NEVER APPEARED AGAIN When I arrived to the pool bar, before the fight, I had my new cellphone with me because I was listening to music with my headphones.

Fantastic — The Grand Muthu I cannot speak highly enough about this resort or the staff. This resort is the best I have encounter in Cuba (and I’ve been to a lot) and I cannot imagine going anywhere else now in fact I’ll be spending my 6 weeks’ vacation here! The staff, beach, room and food — AMAZING. I highly recommend The Grand Muthu. You will not be disappointed!
