Funky decor and extremely clean and modern rooms. Loved their gym and friendly staff.
However, there was no thought for practicality in the design. Rooms have no towel racks (so towels need to be changed daily), you can’t cool the room or open the window (and the rooms are unbearably warm and stuffy), and there is no space for luggage.
Their organization also leaves something to be desired. Despite booking 6 months in advance and requesting a single, large bed. I got a room with 2 twin beds for my couple’s getaway to Zagreb.

Our stay at Zonar Hotel in Zagreb was an absolute delight from start to finish. The hotel perfectly blends modern style with comfort, making it an ideal choice for anyone looking for a chic and enjoyable stay in the city. The rooms are spacious, impeccably clean, and offer beautiful views, exactly what you want after a long day of exploring. The panoramic elevator is a fantastic touch, giving you a glimpse of the hotel’s stylish design as you move between floors. Everything about the interior feels contemporary and thoughtfully designed, with a strong sense of fashion and elegance throughout the property.
Breakfast at Zonar is excellent, served buffet-style with an impressive variety of options. Whether you’re looking for gluten-free items, fresh fruit, juices, or different types of ham and cheese, there truly is something for every taste. It’s the perfect way to start the day.
A special highlight of our stay was the Skin2Skin bar. Modern, chic, and vibrant, it quickly became one of our favorite spots in the hotel. Since we visited during the Christmas season, we also enjoyed their Advent food and drink offerings. Everything we tried was delicious, carefully prepared, flavorful, and beautifully presented.
Overall, Zonar Hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. With its stylish design, excellent service, delicious food, and comfortable rooms, it is a place we would gladly return to and highly recommend to others.

Zonar Zagreb is a very modern hotel built in a former Communist-era, later abandoned hotel. It has been completely transformed and modernized in the most modern way possible! The rooms are very minimalist, with no artwork or anything on the walls except gray sparkly paint. There are fun, touches throughout, such as the calorie count painted on each step in the stairwell. On the roof is an incredible view of Zagreb, and a beautiful infinity pool as well as a nice modern bar. The restaurant serves delicious food and an extensive buffet for breakfast and dinner as well.
The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful.

Me and my husband stayed at the Zonar Zagreb Hotel for six nights in the Monochrom room on the 11th floor from 6th of October until 12th of October.
Starting with the positives, the hotel is in a great location, close enough to reach the city centre and main attractions easily by tram.
The property was clean and modern, and the staff were friendly and responsive whenever we needed assistance. The breakfast was truly exceptional, one of the best we’ve ever had at a hotel, with a wide variety and excellent quality that catered to everyone’s preferences.
However, the room itself was not what we expected for a longer stay. It was very compact, with limited storage space, just a few hangers and no wardrobe or drawers. So we had to live out of our suitcases for six nights. There was also very little room for luggage. I had to keep my suitcase under the window, which made it difficult to open and close. Unfortunately, while doing so, I accidentally hit my head on the very sharp corner of the window sill, which caused a small wound and bleeding. I have photos showing the windowsill corner, the nearby TV edge, and my injured scalp, which demonstrate that the room design could pose safety concerns.
For a room intended for two people, there was only one armchair and one high chair by the window. The tea making area was awkward to access, and the sharp corner of the TV was positioned in a way that made moving around more difficult, especially given the room’s dim lighting.

Even though we only stayed for 6 hours, we were satisfied with the experience. The room was clean, well-lit and modern. The bed was very comfortable! Plus we got one of the best views in Zagreb, since our room was up high. Staff was courteous. Too bad we didn't get the chance to try the pool and other amenities. But all in all, I highly recommend this hotel.

I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Zonar Zagreb. The hotel is modern, stylish and very well maintained. My room was spacious, perfectly clean and offered a fantastic view over the city – truly impressive! The overall comfort and facilities were excellent and I was very satisfied with everything.
The only small downside was the parking fee of €16 per day, considering that public parking nearby costs around €8 per day. However, the positive aspects clearly outweigh this, and I would definitely recommend the hotel and stay here again.

Zonar Zagreb is a new and modern hotel in a quiet part of Zagreb. There are several places to eat and several bars in the immediate vicinity. The hotel is approximately a 10 minute walk through a quiet neighborhood to the electric tram station that takes you throughout town. The breakfast at the hotel is amazing! The lounge and bar is comfortable and reasonably priced. The roof top pool is fantastic with views of all of Zagreb and the surrounding countryside. We would stay here again if we visit Zagreb in the future.

The infinity pool is amazing. At the top floor, not too small and paranomic views of the neighbourhood, what a sight. Decent gym facilities with relatively new equipment. A big thumbs up. Breakfast and dinner at the restaurant was superb. Wide spread with lots local offering. Rooms — get the higher floors. It comes with a high chair, all rooms for a good view of the environment. Like sitting in a bar. Not far from town though not too close to walk.

I spent 2 nights here, a very modern hotel, on the ground floor is the biggest TV screen I have ever seen in a hotel, great for watching football. I had a room on the 1st floor, the room was very clean and tidy, the bed was very comfortable, there was a kettle, some coffee and tea bags. The shower was great, plenty of hot water. The light switches took a bit of working out, but not a problem. The breakfast was superb, something for everyone, probably one of the best hotel breakfasts I've had. Staff were friendly and helpful. A very innovative and unusual hotel.

Hotel Zonar looks like it was designed for Instagram, not real life. A double room? More like a shoebox for one and a half. Beds are practically glued together—so if you’re not close with your travel companion, you will be soon. Bonus feature: gymnastic rings hanging above the bed! Because who doesn’t love a surprise workout when turning in your sleep?
Everything is black with pink lighting—like sleeping in a nightclub pretending to be a hotel. Breakfast, to be fair, is quite good—above average. But after a night in this “modern claustrophobia, ” even plain toast would feel like a treat.
If you’re here for the photos, go ahead. If you’re here for rest, maybe look elsewhere.

I had the great pleasure of spending a few days at Hotel Zonar in Zagreb – and I was absolutely thrilled! From the moment you enter, you're welcomed by a stylish, modern design that has been crafted with great attention to detail. Clean lines, elegant materials, and a relaxed atmosphere create an immediate sense of luxury and comfort.
The rooms are not only beautiful but also thoughtfully designed. A comfortable bed, tasteful furnishings, modern technology, and a stunning view – everything has been considered to make the stay as enjoyable as possible.
One of the true highlights was the hotel's cuisine. Every dish was exceptional – creative, freshly prepared, and refined with regional influences. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, every meal was a delight and left nothing to be desired.
What truly made the stay unforgettable, however, was the staff. Incredibly attentive, courteous, and genuinely warm – you feel welcome and well cared for from the very first moment. Every wish was anticipated and fulfilled with a smile.
And then there’s the rooftop pool – an absolute gem and truly one of a kind in Zagreb. With its spectacular panoramic view stretching across the city and far beyond the hills of Zagreb, it’s not just a place to cool off, but a breathtaking spot to unwind. Whether during the day under the sun or in the evening overlooking the city lights, this pool is an experience all its own.

Had a great stay at the zonar hotel but did not really like the dark themed ambience.

Rooms are clean and breakfast was good.

A hotel that delighted my little family and me! The service was excellent – the staff were extremely kind, professional, and always ready to help. The cleanliness was top-notch, everything impeccably tidy. I would especially praise the food – diverse, fresh, and delicious, and the bar offerings were excellent, with top-quality drinks and a pleasant atmosphere. I definitely recommend it and will gladly return!

Zonar Zagreb is a modern and stylish hotel located about 15 minutes by taxi from the historic old town. With its 19 floors, it offers plenty of space and stunning views over the city – especially from the rooftop pool and bar.
The entire hotel is beautifully designed down to the last detail. It’s a real pleasure to explore all the different corners and discover new, creatively styled spots. Everything is in excellent condition and spotlessly clean.
There’s a restaurant on-site, but it only offers a buffet – no à-la-carte options. However, the bar also serves food from a smaller menu, and the dishes there were very good. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the staff throughout the hotel – from the front desk to the bar – was consistently friendly and helpful.
My room on the 19th floor was a highlight: tastefully furnished, with a bathtub by the window offering a fantastic view of the city. The room also had a coffee machine, an electric kettle, and a (sadly empty) fridge. The wardrobe was spacious, and the bathroom was equally generous. The shower worked perfectly, with strong water pressure.
Check-in and check-out were quick and smooth. The hotel has three elevators, so waiting times were short – even with so many floors.
If you're into design, comfort, and great views, Zonar Zagreb is a fantastic choice. A stylish hotel with excellent facilities and warm service – definitely worth a visit. **5 out of 5 stars from me!

Excellent modern hotel that replaced the Panorama — the only one that has a rooftop pool (not heated! ) and really great modern room, nice restaurant and awesome gym.
It is easy to get to the city center by walking (around 20 min) or by car (10 min).

I stayed there for 4 nichts. Its a new modern looking Hotel which is well cleaned. The rooftop bar and Pool was closed for seasonal reason. Which is sad but fine.
I was there for Business and Just wanted to sleep in the hotelroom and Work. But somehow the airconditioner ist deactivated cause its heating season now. Unfortunetely the heating is Out of Control and heats the rooms to a Temperature between 22 and 25 degrees. The staff told me to Open the window (small window which is Limited openable for safety reasons) and to Turn down the Temperature Control to 18 degrees. This did Not Work. I opened the window all day.
But atleast there is a thick Winter bedcover to warm u while its 22 degrees in the rooms.
All my Collegues had exactly the Same Problem with their room heating and sleep.
A hint use the Energy u Put in the room heating which leads to insomnia into the rooftopbar /Pool and people can sleep and are able to swim in the morning. Or Invest into a working Temperature Control.
Only positiv is the friendly staff and the modern looking Clean rooms.
But the important part were the sleeping conditions. This forces me to a 1 Star Evaluation.
