5 stars for location, 5 stars to the friendly staff, especially Raja the manager. 1 star for their ridiculous prices. We got to the hotel around 10pm and was starving. We requested a meal and the restaurant was about to close. So they quickly sat us down to have whatever was available. I had a piece of chicken & my wife some lamb, a coke and a juice. They billed us 2000 Rupees. They billed me 20 Rupees for a bottle of water, then the next day they changed it to 60 Rupees (refer pic). All in all Mauritius is a beautiful place but everyone is after making quick money.

Nice beachfront hotel. Good internet for tourists as hotel staff is very corduial.

We were there from 2 to 11 may not too crowded just what it takes. The hotel is certainly ageing but still very nice the pools are quite large small sandy beach in front of the hotel. Two restaurants a buffet for half board and all inclusive good food we had a little problem with a meat but everyone very well reacted for the second it is to the card certainly more expensive but it eats very well wine list not terrible but Good! Staff outside a waitress and a person from the reception all the others were great.
Very convenient Situations Grand Bay Center with great Super U and everything you need restaurant bar bus Lines Disco and casino a 10 minute walk.

The photos of the room are misleading at the level of the brightness. Even in the middle of the day there is black. It really is a shame and painful. No shower curtain, and even if the windows are opaque, it is annoying. Everything is very expensive-a drink and a meal. The positive points : the location, the staff, the activity of the boat funds glass-free, frame.

Location is superb, so are the views! Service is appalling! Food to expensive, potion size is for a child! After two lunches, won’t have any meals there, apart from breakfast. Staff are apologetic but there rules are ridiculous! You can only eat in desinageted areas, and not to your comfort! Smokers wondering around for ashtrays! Wheelchair access is a joke! If you sharing, you’re really sharing, no matter how many times I’ve asked for two glasses in our room, never received! Talking to the other guest I get the same feedback! This is one of the worst resorts on the island! And that’s coming from locals staying here! Definitely won’t be coming here again!

Great place to stay at, only a few minutes walk to the village where food and drinks are better and cheaper. But the food is ok and breakfast is various and very Good. IF you want a bigger beach you can take a taxi to beach Choisy 10 min away, great beach with food and beverage all Day.

Nice rooms, great location with an easy walk into town, where you will find a great indoor bizare (market). The hotel it's self in my opion needs a good shake up. The food is interesting and varied and should suit all tastes. If your all inclusive then you have to sign everyone you have anything. Too many staff so don't tip, I shall wait until we leave and then leave a substantial tip at reception. Hope this info helps.

3 star hotel Very nice to 5minutes on foot by the beach of Grand Baie, with a small beach and a 3 minute walk to the beach of the bowl.
Very clean 3 star hotel in a green setting and comfortable rooms.
The restaurant is good and varied, the evening entertainment is varied and very friendly, music groups, Mauritian and Indian folk dances all super friendly and let's not forget every Thursday fashion show where tourists can Participate very cheerfully.
It would make sense that the outside place where we eat is also non-smoking because many times very inconvenienced by smokers with no respect for their neighbors at the table.
We had a very good stay and would advise your hotel to our knowledge.

I am extremely disappointed I expected much better the buffets lacks a lot of choice, it is often the same things the midday and the soire little choice to the map for people who on the package all inclusive, the snack is no few activities for the nautical box
On the other hand the breakfast and the hotel is still well situate are the only positive points that I come out

Our 'go to' lIttle piece of paradise on this magical island. Once you've experienced this completly charming little boutique retreat no where else will do. For those who seek an alternative to the huge, impersonal characterless tourist hotels. Veranda Grand Baie is super friendly, relaxed and set in beautiful gardens on the bay, close to a vibrant town with all the amenities. Just go! —

Great Ambiance, Segaa dance troup is the highlight of the evening. Good food and drinks.

One of the nicest places we have been too. 3 star hotel with 5 star service. Close to shops, restaurents, all amenities Plenty of room around beautiful pools, food fantastic, large array to choose from. No real beach to walk along, but the views make up for it. Will be back.

One of the best resorts I have been to. Excellent amenities and polite staff. If you an Indian and open to eating continental food then this place won't disappoint you. The resort faces the beautiful Grand Baie (bay). There is swimming pool, gymnasium, tennis court, dance floor and spa, apart from a creche.

It was v nice experience over there. Staff is v cooperated. We had a lot of fun there. V nice activities, dance shows, fashion shows, music is awsome. We had a v gud cheff there who made indian food specially for us thnk u sir I dnt remember his name sorry. Overall it was lyftym experience with veranda bai hotel. Every evening over there was just awsome with lots of fun moments. It was V nice hotel amazing staff. Will visit there again.

This is an excellent beach facing property and our stay was very pleasant experience. Looking forward to coming back to Mauritius and stay only in this hotel.

Wonderful stay, we have a good time, the hotel and very welcoming, quiet. With its 2 swimming-pool and its beautiful scenery we find what we were looking for.

Mauritius is a paradise where it is good to stay. The hotel Varanda Grand Bay contributes greatly to make this stay unforgettable. The staff is very caring. Always in a good mood, it is a concern that your well-being. I highly recommend it.

The rooms were clean and spacious. Beach and Swimming Pool Maintenance is very good. Entertainment showcasing different cultures in the night is good. Special Preparation of Indian Food for dinner is appreciated. Overall, we had a fantastic experience staying there.

An excellent Hotel with hospitable staff, considerate restaurant and kitchen staff, wonderful ambience, great location, clean swimming pool, lively evening entertainment and spacious rooms. Got a warm welcome from Anoushka. Chefs Vinesh and Rajan along with other staff were very considerate. However a constructive suggestion — basic in room amenities such as tea / coffee, TV channels (English) and toiletries were bare minimum and no drinking water provided.

Absolutely wonderful. I would recommend this lovely place to anyone. Staff all so friendly and helpful.

The hotel is well run with friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were clean and spacious. The only drawback was the size of the beach which is tiny. Also having to go out by boat to snorkel is a pain seeing as they only go out once a day and you have to book a day before. There is free Wi-Fi on the beach and in the dining area. Entertainment was varied while at the same time showcasing local fashion, dance and music.

I know its over 2 decades ago but it was a holiday that I cannot forget. Everything — staff accommodation, location, activities were perfect and from the reviews I have read looks like nothings changed. Excellent holiday destination. Keep it up.
