Nice hostel, with cool painting. Guys from the reception are super helpful and super kind! Close to the center, a lot of shop around and sodas! Pura Vida!

Friendly people. Rudimentary. The double room I have feels like sleeping on a highway.

This place is so bad. Still needs to improve on cleaning service.

A bit pricey compared to other hostels I stayed at a similar level. The staff is very friendly. The room I had was noisy, it was right by the parking and the road so I could hear people that would go to their cars while I slept, there was also non stop honking by the buses or trucks nearby. Not the best sleep… I was also told there is hot water but the shower was flimsy and there wasn't any hot water. They offer breakfast until 10:30 am for 2$ (2 pieces of pineapple, 2 pieces of Wonderbread, very small portion of scrambled egg) there's free tea and coffee, equipped kitchen, and a lounge area. I liked the facilities, they were clean. 50 minute drive from the airport. I took an Uber and it cost around 8, 000 c.

I like to put things blunlty so… -There is a road with loads of traffic nearby -There's only one bathroom and one toilet per dormitory -The bed mattress' are very thin On the plus side… -Great staff -Very clean -Nice building with good lounging area -Good price.

Quiet hostel. Everything looks clean. Fine place to stay. Great service, they even have sim cards for sale.

The hostel is clean, you can sleep well, the breakfast is rich, the best people attending the place who are very friendly and predisposed. The worst the rooms have a lot of smell of humidity and the bathroom is dimly lit.

Thiefs! I put my valuables in the lockers and overnight somebody stole 2 credit cards and 300 euros out of the locker. My bank told me the cards were used right away at local supermarkets and electronic stores.

I liked this hostel. Nice place to hang out, the rooms have good interior (for a hostel) and the people are so friendly! First time I felt the Pura vida spirit in Costa Rica until yet. For three dollars u get some eggs with toast. It was very loud because it's directly on a crowded Street.

Nice place, have 24 hrs reception, Wi-Fi, shared kitchen, computer, stay.

About Hostel 1110 and Jose Ignocio Caruojol, the hostel Manager. Let me tell you an amazing story. Everything I brought to San Juan, Costa Rica was lost in an unfortunate circumstance. My vital medicine, passport, medical records extending > 10 years and everything I had was lost. I did everything in my power to locate my belongings and was at wits end until with the help of Jose, using his computer like a detective, worked very diligently with me and made a plan with a map to locate my belongings. When I arrived at the hostel, his extremely polite sister Daniela who speaks excellent English was busy supervising hired workers making beautiful improvements said she and Jose would help me as much as possible. I have traveled throughout Brazil, Colombia, Panama extensively and other countries staying at hostels but NEVER have I encountered such helpful and friendly people especially owner operators like Jose and Daniela. Because of Jose and his diligence with the information and map he prepared I found everything that was lost. Juan always has a smile on his face, is so very friendly and helpful, practicing his English improving every day. There is room for improvement in all our lives but I give this hostel 5 stars and more if I could. Thank you Juan and Daniela!

Beautiful hostel in San Jose. The younger guy at the front desk was very helpful and cheap rates. The hosteled had an overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke in the the morning and breakfast was late.

Very comfortable, affordable and also super great service 100% recommended the experience was great!

Cute place accommodated to the client, great location, very good staff thanks to yuver by Nice who. The breakfast is wonderful. Johana is incredible, the girl of the night is too cold to attend.
