Amazing place to stay, enjoy life, eat excellent food, enjoy morning, afternoon and night time events, live music and incredible attention from the staff. The environment is full of natural beauty. From the famous iguanas, to birds, to a beach view and lovely floral designs. They offer a gym to warm up, a sauna, 3 pools, including one for kids and a bar. This is a place I will be visiting again for sure.

It's up to par with other Barcelos we've been to. The beach is very nice, as is the river that flows into the ocean right next to the hotel. Food was fairly good. Room AC was comfortable and cooked well. Ceiling fan did not work. Bar service is limited to main building and has limited hours. Live entertainment just one night during our stay.

A very wonderful place, the staff very attentive and polite, they spend a beautiful holiday, the bad is the parking that do not have parking for each room and you have to leave the car outside in the street until waiting to vacate a field.

This place is incredible. The rooms are nice and super clean, and the beach right behind the resort is gorgeous. You can do a lot of cool excursions, which can be either exciting adventury stuff or more nature-focused things. The one thing that could be improved is the food, which is average buffet food but there is always a grill running as well which has great fresh food so its all peachy.

Hotel located a couple of miles away. Of the village of Tamarindo. Large complex with spacious rooms, two restaurants one type buffet and the other a la carte, swimming pools for adults, children and a jacuzzi. All kinds of activities throughout the day and show very well worked in the amphitheater at night. Free Wi-Fi service in common areas such as hall and swimming pool. A very complete all inclusive with direct exit to "Playa lobster"

Great place to rest and have fun. The beach is very quiet and the evening shows very good. The food is OK and the rooms quite nice. The service was very good and helpful.

Good price on stay, food included, of regular quality but varied. Rooms in good condition, comfortable, in building 1, not so in the 4, these smell of humidity, need some maintenance. Friendly and helpful Staff, activities to have fun all day, for children and adults. An important detail, the plastic straws must disappear, try to make a difference with that great detail and replace them with other environmentally friendly material.

All inclusive great, great pool but Wi-Fi fee… Five dollars a day.

The hotel is nice and the staff was attentive and solved a few problems we had with our room immediately. The food at the buffet restaurant is pretty decent, the fruit is very good. Same for the snack bar. The reason for only giving it 3 stars is because the staff allows the guests to behave in a most uncivil way: they let people eat and drink around and inside the pool, and food and drink will eventually fall in the water… They also allow guests to leave items to hold the pool chairs overnight, so no matter how early you arrive there are many chairs already taken, with no one there. If these behaviours don’t bother you, you’ll probably enjoy staying here, otherwise look for a more upscale hotel to stay.

For those who like the "All inclusive"!

I stayed here for 3 nights. Now I have some bad things to say and some good things. First off I loved it here. The staff were super nice and there where no wait times for food, beer, or snacks. There was always available lounge chairs around the pool and on the beach. I would defiantly stay here again! For the bad part, it was just small things like when I checked In I was given a room key and map and that was it. Turns out you need a bracelet well there to tell security you belong there. I had to go back and get one at the front desk. When I got to my room I loved it it was pretty nice. Except the shower and toilet needed cleaned better. There was dirt stains on both that would go away if properly cleaned, along with soap scum all over the shower walls. (you can see in the pic the top part of the glass is clean but not the lower. The roof in front of my balcony needed repairs, and there where a lot of ants around the bathroom sink. With that said I did not let it bother me and I had a great time and would recommend to friends.

Very nice hotel. Food is Excellent. Very friendly staff. Shortcoming: no German speaking staff. Many dogs at the hotel Beach. The pool area is always very dirty. No guest support by the Organizer. No instruction on Arrival. No german-language poster or Information.

All ages seen here and something for everyone. Clean beach, great food selection, food at any time you want it, all inclusive is worth it. Very very comfortable beds. Tamarindo and this hotel is definitely somewhere I want to return! Do not buy items in the gift shop though as it's very overpriced. Items in town are less expensive. If you are up for a day trip, go to Nicaragua as shopping there is much better! Leather and clothes are their specialty.

I don't like tourist factories… but this is not great factory. It's nice the setting is nice. The buffet is more than correct. Very nice staff. The setting and the beach are nice.

Orderly, neat and quaint architecture. 3 star service. They charge 5 fees per day and per computer for the use of the internet. We had to claim every day the bathroom grooming items x q did not leave them. It is very expensive and does not provide 5 star service. It is disgraceful that the chain Barceló to the q belongs this hotel copper internet service. Please note that smoking and outdoor spaces are not allowed. I wouldn't come back.

The place makes the wonderful staff great and strives for the best stay. The facilities leave you wanting but the staff gets the best out of them. Adorable hotel.

Nice location right by the sea. Room and service okay.
Unfortunately, we seldom ate so badly. Meat and fish almost always roasted for far too long until just before inedible.
Lost 4 kilos on all inclusive. Only vegetables were always delicious.

Great staff. Very friendly. Only has 1 restaurant with a short menu, but the food was very good. Beautiful gardens surround the hotel. Nice beach but too many stray dogs walking around. Large pool area with lots of chairs. Comfortable lounge area to just relax in during the evening. It has all the comforts you will need. Rooms are comfortable however very dated.

The road to get there in bad shape. Needs lots of work. But the resort occidental was very beautiful. The hosts were very nice and always willing to go out of there way to help you. Very nice experience. I will consider going back.

Loved the hotel entertainment was good and friendly. The ocean was always rough but the inlet had good swimming. Carlos was the friendliest of all the workers. The serves at the buffet was no good at all. The rooms were good but no monkeys until the last day. I would come here again had a great time and was to short.

Great location. Beautiful little visited beach. Also close to the shopping area. Good service. I suggest more activities and shows.

It has a good price to be all inclusive. The quality in the food and service are not very good. The rooms are fine although the room that I touched 4002 had no front door. It went in and out the terrace which lost privacy. The beach is fine.

It was a wonderful experience, we had the opportunity to receive the service they normally offer and in addition to the prompt and effective response in a special situation. A team of people exceptional and with high human degree. I congratulate you.

Located in a lovely setting, where you can enjoy a breathtaking sunset. The structure is old. The rooms, although well maintained, stink of mold, and are not reached by Wi-Fi. Eating is acceptable. They promise a dinner in the a la carte restaurant every 3 nights, but above mentioned restaurant is only open on weekends, so for midweek guests there remains only the smile of the receptionist who plays in jest.

People make the difference for me and these people are wonderful. Every person went above and beyond to please our group Shout out to… Mr. 0/0, Alberto our waiter, the dancers and so many more! The beach was beautiful Loved… The omlete bar for breakfast and the salad bar for lunch and dinner. They also served wonderful fruits!

Stayed here a while ago, the staff was super friendly, really enjoyed the beach and the food, and couple of the organized trips. Walked to Tamarindo along the sea which was amazing.

Was here during the rainy season and got trapped here during a tropical storm. The staff was super nice and we had everything we needed for the longer stay.

No response, hurricane alert in Costa Rica, So im trying to re schedule my reservation we are booked for tomorrow. But there is no access due to the weather and road bad condition. But no answer, got just dropped calls. I have sent an email too, no response.

I was there with my family and the facilities are very nice the clean rooms and excellent service of most of the employees very friendly people.
The only thing I have to complain about is that they have a photographer named Bruno who we asked to take a picture and he refused flatly. I didn't copmprendo why he did it if we asked him first if it was hotel service and if they sold the pictures.

For a small all inclusive. This place has it all! Great beach and sunsets! Staff were very helpful even with the language barrier!

We had a great time at this hotel, it had several different things to offer for its customers and the pool area was real nice, also it had a bar snack area, comfortable lounge chairs and a relaxing environment. For an all-inclusive I would say it was good and definitely had everything you need Is fair to mention the staff was very friendly and on top of things, it was a wonderful experience and a great value.

A nice all included hotel, it's fun and the food is great but it could be better. Wifi is bad and service in the restaurant isn't always the best. Not much night life.

Excellent care, the rooms well equipped and clean A/C, tv, box security etc… Beautiful and large swimming pool, the food excellent and varied at any hour, affordable… It went very well! Do not hesitate in return!

Wonderful people; always friendly and helpful. The grounds and rooms are great and the food top knotch. Many of the rooms need maintenance attention. And the AC in my room could not quite keep up with the heat and humidity.

Hello everyone. A few days ago I returned from a tour of 15 days in Costa rica, also going to the Hotel Barceló Langosta Beach. A 5 star hotel, on the paper. Its location is lovely although the beach is not suitable for swimming; The services offered are standard 3 star hotel b, scarce. Saving the physical labor of people I respect, any organization does suffer. Arrived at the hotel, we changed 3 rooms to find one where you could adjust the climate control and I'm not telling the hardships to solve the problem; Let me start by saying that I am in life. The food at the restaurant, always super clogged, always the same with little variety if not recycled. The pool, plenty of availability of the waiters, but poor quality snacks and drinks offered in the All inclusive service. About the All inclusive, at check out, I introduced a bill of almost $ 200 for the all inclusive option, already paid as shown by my Voucher, which, coincidentally would not come up to the front desk. I had to insist a lot so I was shown asking to speak with the Manager, but the operators always told me to wait. And yet, the electronic key card sprogrammate, Wi fi fee would jump over and over again, in short, a nightmare! Very little professionalism at the desk or do not know whether unreadiness in good or bad faith!
Clean enough.
We felt cheated.

It used to be a relaxing and calm place, however a few year ago has changed the type of customers and is now a place not so quiet, always crowded. The pool is almost always full and there are many activities, the buffet is little changed and the often low-quality food. The rooms, on the other hand, are very comfortable and well equipped. The beach is not the main attraction of this place, there are best around, like Playa Grande. Free parking available on the premises.

This hotel used to be quite calm and relaxing, but somehow this hotel targets other kind of customers and now it is much noiser and crowded. The pool is always full of people as there are lots of activities. The buffet is low quality and very repetitive. However, the rooms are cozy and quiet. The hotel's beach is not so nice. Some better choices are around (e. G. Large beach). Free parking inside of the hotel.

Awesome hotel with a big pool and a theater with nice events.

Just got back from our first visit to Costa Rica. The country is beautiful, and the people, as warm as the weather! The resort was wonderful! The beach is spectacular, and the service, excellent. The staff is very friendly, and go above and beyond to meet your needs, and ensure your visit is wonderful. Diana at the front desk was awesome! She even upgraded our room to an ocean view, at no charge! July, Jimmy, Maria, Aury, and so many others I can't even name, thank you, thank you, thank you, helping to make our visit amazing! We highly recommend that you splurge on as many tours as possible! They were all great, especially the ATV tour. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back! Highly recommend Barcelo!

We arrived at almost 10 in the night after an exhausting 16-hour trip from Madrid, and eager to rest (for us it was 5 in the morning, Spanish time). Unfortunately, the room overlooked the amphitheater where each night, from 9 to 11 approximately, had rather different shows and animations. The noise prevented us from a good night's rest right away. The next morning I explained the problem to the reception staff, who were very sympathetic, asignándonos immediately another room in a quieter area. We are very grateful for your kindness and diligence. The rest of the staff are also charming and efficient. The hotel has a splendid garden, and the terrace of the swimming pool is adjacent to a beach where every evening you can enjoy spectacular sunsets. Wonderful. The food is very good. If you will be updating the bathrooms, it would be perfect.

Due to restrictions on the movement of autoparticular without plates in NICARAGUA (in Honduras, there are shortages of plates and circulate with a permit). Yesterday not you authorize me pass through Nicaragua in my vehicle without plates losing my reservation in at Barceló Langosta Beach in Tamarindo Guanacaste Costa Rica.
Wish converted me the penalty of $414.0 that are turning it into a voucher to be used in 5 months please. And so not to lose my money because it wasn't my fault is a law of the country to cross what I knew.

Food is alright. Hours for food/drink aren't great. Isolated from town ($5 cab each way), so good and bad.

The truth is that attention is spectacular and from one to ten, I give it a ten.

The Girl Friend and I went down to Costa Rica late last year. Havent gotten around to this review till now : — (. Barcelo is pretty typical all inclusive service. All around good food and the drinks werent bad for foreign wells haha. There is an excusion desk around behind the front desk which we booked a few trips on. My favorite was the ATV tour which was 50 for a single rider and another 20 for the Girl Friend on the back. It was probably a good 3 to 4 hours. We rode the ATV's all over down along the beaches their main roads, dirt roads through several small towns, it was awesoooooooome. We also did the canopy zip line tour which was pretty wild, 11 lines in all. I dont remember how much the zip lines were, but I would recommend it if you like that sort of thing. From Liberia airport expect to pay around 60 dollars each way as it is slightly over an hour drive for the shuttle so make sure not to plan your return flight to early like us or you will be getting up real early to get to the airport. Hope this helps, oh and food and drinks in town are pretty cheap, the colon is 500 to 1 U. S.
