Casa Solea was fantastic! It’s set on a beautiful beach and has a mid-sized capacity, creating a relaxed and intimate atmosphere rather than a crowded tourist experience. The vibe is laid-back, the food was excellent, and the staff were incredibly professional. Unlike some other resorts in the area, you’re free to visit nearby hotel restaurants and engage with the local community, including the opportunity to buy handcrafted mochilas directly from artisans.
Rooms were a mess, mosquito net was broken which meant we got bitten all night and could not sleep. There is one fan and it does not reach all beds in the room. Service was terrible, food took aproximately 3 hours to arrive and they got the order wrong every time. The food itself was not bad but not a lot of variety. The location for kitesurf is great but if there were a better option I would not come to this hotel again.

But the service/staff is really a disaster…
I actually wanted to give 3 stars but as I read here that this issue is not new and a known issue I must deduct another star.
I don't know how you can mess up the service so much! We always needed to wait for our food 1h-3h each time. Food was generally nice but sometimes served cold.
We were there for 1 week and it was really so annoying. Once we ordered the food and after one hour the waitres came and asked us if we want it now. I was like yeeees 🤣 then he said, ok we will prepare it now. And then it took another 1.5h until it was served. Just things like that drives you crazy when you are really hungry after a kiting session.
Worst thing was that we got food poisen on the last day…
Also many employees just hang on their phones instead of cleaning things, helping out in the kitchen etc. I just don't understand that. Also even after one week of staying there we still had to ask EVERY morning for a bit of milk for the coffee. I mean its a hotel with like approx. 10 guests each morning amd they still don't rember small things like that. The only guy who really does a good job is called "rocke"
