NEVER GO THERE! It is not possible to enter in the hostel without someone opening you from inside. This is normally not a problem as they promise a 24/7 reception. However my friend and I were coming back to the hostel and there was nobody standing at the reception! We therefore WAITED FOR 30 MIN OUTSIDE AT 11PM, knocking at the door and nobody was there to open the door for us. Plus, imagine who's in the street at this time in Bogota… We tried to call, no answer (and this was expensive for our foreign telephone number). No excuses when the lady came to open the door: that's a shame!

Main reason for three stars was the night attendant. As we were standing at the reception desk and he was looking for our reservation in the computer, a pair of French tourists came in and the receptionist asked me and my party to stand aside while he registered the French guests. We did and let him sign in the French couple and take them to their room. When he returned, I asked him why he did not register us first. He said because the French couple had called and we’re wandering around the streets looking for the hotel. I said we had also been wandering around the streets looking for the hotel. He said, Is there some problem? And then he answered himself, saying no. Of course I don’t know why he did this, but I can guess that it was because my cousin, who was with me, is a dark-skinned Colombian. The rest of the stay was fine. I thought the rooms were comfortable, quiet, and clean, and I thought that the morning staff was friendly.

It is a place that transports you to another dimension, located in the neighborhood La Candelaria, Harold receives you very kindly and no matter what time he is there to help. Its rooms are very comfortable and the best thing is that you have hot water. For $40.000 per person you have access to a double bed, TV, DirecTV and a very good space. You get breakfast from 7:30 AM till 9. It also has Wi-Fi service. In short, a very good place to visit.

Excellent experience, I was in the room upstairs… which is like an apartment practically. Very good service… the location is unbeatable… and the transparent ceiling… beautiful… all very very well.

Will make you pay IVA tax, no hot water in shower ours sucked, Nice female host in the AM, the night shift guy was a total jerk, accused my husband and I of fighting, thats slander and very upset he said that to me the next morning. We were like what? Are you talking about?

Where it serves one of the best cafes in the city is in the historic center of La Candelaria and reaching the old Chorro de Quevedo.

They lack a sign at the entrance to recognize the place, the atmosphere is quiet but the bed I touched was very hard.

Visiting the quevedo jet, it has been an unforgettable experience, taking the famous colorful chicha has been magical. Great place to go have fun.

In the middle of the historical center of Bogota.

The hostel is well located but unfortunately also very noisy. The staff is friendly and all in all a good place to stay.

Great price, cute place tucked away in Bogota. Keep in mind it gets noisy in this area at night with the laugher of those spending their nights with drinks.

Cozy, quiet, no need to block morning sunlight, cannot hear traffic, unlike hotels in Central Bogota. Enjoyed breakfast. Walking distance to gorgeous museums and historic sites. The private 1 hour tour around Candelario in a replica of a "tranvía" is not to be missed (actors board the tranvía and play historic characters along the way) but make a reservation early (Wednesday to Sunday). Look for by the exit from Casa de la Moneda museum.

Bohemian site to get to know other facets of cosmopolitan Bogota. It offers very interesting street art events, coffee, beer and a carefree atmosphere. Is safe. We recommend going in the afternoon before it reaches the night.

Excellent! Service, location, price tooodo! The. The best breakfast. Made at the time. Only there are 6 rooms so q is very cozy. We were a Thursday night and found music (jamming) in turn — green Volon — rest/bar at midnight! Delicious bite. There is a little shop a few steps with delicious bread. We will be back! PD was a thrifty outside until very early but we didn't bother us.

I stayed at this hotel with two girl friends for a week. It´s in a safe location within a 15 minute walk from the historical district, including the Gold Museum, Plaza de Boliviar and the Modern Art/Botero Museum. It`s around the corner from the Bomehian Chorro Quevedo Plaza, with cute restaurant-bars and live music. Breakfast is delicious with fresh fruit, omelets, and fresh bread. Massimo, the owner, and Andres speak excellent English and are extremely friendly and willing to help give recommendation for things to do or places to eat. If they don`t know anything off hand, they`re willing to help research. Free Wi-Fi, and they have a couple laptops for anyone to use. Massimo is quick to respond to any emails and even helped purchase a surprise birthdays cake! I would definitely recommend and stay there again.

The 28th of june 2009 Bed&Breakfast chorro de Quevedo was born: a cozy and upscale boutique-hotel at a two minute stroll from Plaza del Chorro de Quevedo in the heart of the “La Candelaria” district, the historical center of Bogotá, dating back to colonial times. The four-suite hotel is located on one of the oldest cobblestone alleys and at some points during the walk up to the hotel, a glance of the sky reflects the Eastern Andes encompassing the city of Bogotá. These occasional glimpses are largely dwarfed by the views from the glass top floor of the hotel. The top floor offers a 360 degree picture of the city and the 3500 meter high contours of the Andes to the East. One can enjoy a magnanimous view indeed. The surroundings of the hotel betray the looks of 'old' Spain and inner cities of Western Europe in general. Bohemia, culture, books and art. Plaza de la Concordia has a covered fruit, meat and produce market, surrounding streets are choked with coffee houses, boutiques and small restaurants. Buzzing with activity all day, the area is bore-proof. Infinite strolls to all directions are called for.

I have stayed at this hotel twice in the last year and each time was a very pleasant experience. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast every morning is delicious. The location is great, right in the heart of Bogota. There are many unique restaraunts and other venues within walking distance. And when you walk back in the door, they always offer to make you a cup of tea or coffee. It feels like coming home the way they greet you so warmly. They are also great about helping you make travel arrangements… airport, taxis, buses etc. I highly recommend this establishment to the traveling public.
