Rooms are average, staff elegant, very pricy bar and hidden cost not disclose to customers, swimming pool is good but charging for sauna and steam room is ridiculous, overall experience let me down.

Looks decent at first appearance. However a low quality hotel quickly emerges. The rooms are 25c (80 Fahrenheit) at night and air conditioning is not available due to an outdated hvac system. When you ask the hotel to fix it they tell you to open your window — to the sounds of partying and buses. If you want to choose between not being able to sleep because it’s too hot or it’s too loud, this is the hotel for you. Added bonus, the gym has equipment from the 80s.

I was there from January 7, 2018 to January 12, 2018. My room no was 1113. The room quite good specially the wash room. There are two beds but the Wi-Fi signal was not good. They spacious lobby in ground floor and I love it.

Excellent Location, just few steps to People Square and Nanjing Road. Breakfast is the same everyday (noodles, cold cuts, dumplings, yang chow, boiled egg — typical chinese food. I don't like the room service, they don't change sheets. Towels seems being dried using the hair dryer. They don't refill coffee or tea in your room unless you call and ask.

Good location near downtown and main attractions to visit on foot.

This hotel is the biggest joke in the name of 5 star hotel. A total rip off. Imagine paying close to 100 euros per night and not even having an Airco. At the middle of night, its 25 degrees inside room, I call the support staff to say that A/C is not working, their reply … A/C is working fine, 25 degrees is a good temperature to sleep so if you are feeling its your problem. You may open window if you wish, we cant do anything. Of course opening window made no difference at all! Staff and services suck big time. I wonder on what basis did they get 5* status. Dont get fooled by 'majestic' entrance, you will surely find much better hotels in the neighbourhood in similar price range.

I was able to check in early, the room is very spacious, and the location is great.

I booked this room for one night only due to my morning flights to home. I dont even know the services. But, overall the interior is really representing the 5 stars hotel. Comfy bed, soft carpet, big screen tv, and free snacks!

Tarieble attitude. When I arrived they immediately offered me upgrade the room for a high cost. I refused ANF they put me in awful room. Small and in maintained. It wasn't 5 stars hotel room maybe 3.

Yikes — — — — terrible decision. Hotel needs a LOT of help. Breakfast was really bad, bugs flying around the food & very few options. Hope you want orange juice for drink, because they offer nothing else except lemonade. If you need something (like iron, phone charger, adapter) take LOTS of Chinese dollars because you literally have to RENT everything there. We left after one night & moved to hotel next door (best decision ever). Hopefully all the construction inside (that was terribly loud all day) will really help this hotel. Never again for me.

Very poor choice in terms of value for money. Extremely well located if you want to hang around in the center of Shanghai, however the overall performance of the hotel was closer to a hostel than 5-star one. Dead slow internet, construction works going on midday for renovation, HORRENDOUS food topped with rude staff. What more do I need to say?

Breakfast wasn't really good. Few nice options but all in all not even worth paying for. Location is really good. In the middle of Nanjing Road (Touristy shopping street). Walking distance to BUND, Old City and People's Square. Entrance hall leaves a nice first impression. Rooms could be brighter and more modern. Bathroom could need a little more care. All in all, not a bad option. I'd try another option the next time,

A classic with a modern twist, spacious rooms, very clean, has several restaurants offer different and very good. Indoor swimming pool with views, Spa, Gym, lounges and large. Located in the best place in Shanghai. In the heart of Nanjing Road, pedestrian, stretch between people sq & century sq. The receptionists speak very English well even though they are quite stretched.

Overall experience was ok but the lobby or reception work is not properly. I m checking on 25 November 2015 at the time of checking I have deposited Y 1000 via debit card as security deposit. I m checked out on 30 November 2016 at the time of checkout reception assured ur Security deposit cancelled and return in your account. But sorry to say after lapsing of more than two month the same amount didn't credited yet. My various emails the didn't reply me.

Didn't go in live, however, something else stressed, but the name here is good, it is estimated that a very high level.

Could've been better. Usual Chinese hospitality didn't help pushing this to 4 stars.

Its five star hotel but its standart room is really standard and needs to renovate.
