A lovely park area. There is an outside section with views of the Wild Goose which is free to enter. This area is mainly gardens and hawkers. It does lead into a park area as well. Inside the Wild Goose are smaller temples and gardens which are nice. To enter the Wild Goose costs extra but it does provide lovely views on a clear day. It can get busy and it is a working temple so be respectful. Its very close to the History Musuem — about a 7 min walk. So if the queues are too long at the musuem its worth walking to and seeing then returning to the musuem to see if the queue is better.
It's the main attraction of the area and well-worth your time. It's old, dating to the Tang Dynasty, and full of history. You can also climb up it for a small fee, and it gives neat views of the city. But more than that, you're climbing a tower more than a thousand years old, with cool little exhibits on the way up. My favorite was a small seismometer they keep on the 5th floor to measure earthquake impacts. Make sure to come back at night too-they do a fantastic water show most nights around 9:00pm. Absolutely beautiful.
