The tower contains the Buddhist scriptures that a mythical monk, from the novel A Journey to the West, obtained in his journey to a monastery. Plus you get a nice perspective on the city and you can have a nice time through the parks.
A lovely park area. There is an outside section with views of the Wild Goose which is free to enter. This area is mainly gardens and hawkers. It does lead into a park area as well. Inside the Wild Goose are smaller temples and gardens which are nice. To enter the Wild Goose costs extra but it does provide lovely views on a clear day. It can get busy and it is a working temple so be respectful. Its very close to the History Musuem — about a 7 min walk. So if the queues are too long at the musuem its worth walking to and seeing then returning to the musuem to see if the queue is better.
