Review of DoubleTree 4*

I stayed in the hotel for few months because of business. Frankly speaking almost all the staff I met here were very friendly and willing to help but too bad but lots of them were still undertrained. For example, during the buffet breakfast, they always cleaned up the table and took the utensils away while I was getting food. When I came back, the table was taken by other guests. Also the buffet breakfast menu was never change. You can imagine how I felt after few month…s. Example 2: On 8th floor the Gym, two staffs (boy and girl) were wrestling and playing at the reception desk in front of the guests who were waiting to ask a question. The food in this hotel were really not impressing but the prices are few times higher than the restaurant outside. Example: a bowl of won ton soup (badly cooked) cost ¥60 at noodle restaurant but only ¥13 in a small restaurant around the corner which tasted so much better. I heard so many complaints from the hotel guests I met and nothing happened. The management should review the dining service here seriously and consider to change the executive chef if no improvements. Besides, the location here is convenient, bus stops, lots of small restaurants and convenient stores close to the hotel, and 15 min walk to the shopping area "Beijing Road" and other shopping malls. Anyway, I still like this hotel and will come back for as some of the staffs were really nice and sweet. I will still recommend this hotel to others but will suggest them to eat outside.
