Lovely hotel. Staff average not very happy. Food amazing!

A Good Resort close to beach but kinda far away from the centre of sal island and where everything is on the island but amazing experience none the less loved it.

I have just returned from a holiday in this hotel and I must say that I don't assegnerei to this place not even a star. The hotel is of an infinite sadness, in the room the cabinet under the sink exuded a smell of infernal mold, the towels were almost lysis and always greyish instead of whites, outside the room in the morning there were terrible miasms of sewer and so in fact it was, Open-air slurry poured into a aiula; The common bathrooms with uprooted and horrendous taps, the restaurant where you eat meals with the appearance of a canteen, the food that I hesitate to define! Indigenous chefs to prepare international meals! The first ones were never edible the spaghetti always a attitude glue, the pens very little half cooked the other half that you did not pierce them with a fork, the rice with artichokes of pink color disgusting in flavor and texture, the lasagne with pesto abominable; The second of unclean meat, the roasts of veal grassissimi greasy hard and bland, the Wednesday meatballs with leftovers that all left in the dishes were reproposed on Thursdays immersed in a brown sauce and remained there in general anyway all the Leftovers also of the vegetables were recycled in the evening as decorations of the unlikely and tasteless cold salads of the evening.

Its a good hotel but a little far from the main square in Santa Maria.

Very good the company of the animators, they managed to amuse us despite the few supports supplied. Their imagination and will emphasized their strong talents. Good also the rest of the services although sometimes the staff proved to be little smiling and not always helpful.

Stayed here last year Feburary for one week and booked again for this year loved it! Lovely staff lush food so chilled might be one of the older hotels but loved it last year was our 1st time in cabo Verde and we aren't disappointed looking forward to returning on the 9th Feburary.

Good value for money. Great food with Italian cuisine. It needs a general renovation.

I had already been to this village in 2013 and I had found myself very well, so I decided to come back, but it was terribly worse. Bed full of ants, with dirty linens and towels. Cleaning only apparent. Food… a suffering for Italians, everything has the same taste, from appetizer to dessert. Fruit in advanced state of ripening with Gnats included. Very little choice and a continuous recycling of dishes… Entertainment little present and with little initiative, in the evening there is practically nothing to do. Obviously drunk village guests to whom bartenders continue to give alcohol. Really a pity the decline that I noticed, the only good thing is the proximity to Santa Maria and the beautiful Spiaggiona in front of the village, where alas the sun beds will be about 50. Very few, as well as the sea towels… so often that you did not find them and the answer was "you are too many. " In conclusion I would not recommend it.

Bravo to Chef Rigobert Fortes for the attractive buffet. The meals and the friendliness of the staff are to be complimented. Bravo job well done.

Lovely clean relaxing holiday resort. Shower pressure not good at busy times late afternoon, but no other niggles.

This hotel is pretty run down and need a renovation, but i've been told that it will happen in the start of next year (2018). Other then that here in december '17 and was told that they would have Wi-Fi all over the Hotel and in every room from 1 of november, but now there are not. The first 2 rooms we got had no Wi-Fi, but the nice staff here are serviceminded at gave us a free room upgrade (Not sure if that was the only free room they had with Wi-Fi in it) but it was a good upgrade, and this is written from the room we got with working Wi-Fi. The location of the Hotel is whats sells it, it's just down to the beach. And like I said, the staff are serviceminded and nice. The Animation team are young and good to go talk too the guests and try to activate them with stuff like Water gymnastic, beach volley, meditation and so on.

I was in the property the last week of November, Amazing place!
The structure is not recent, but has been rearranged, the rooms are nice and comfortable, all the rooms are clean and every day there are fresh towels.
The meals are buffet with staff that fills the dish, all with gloves and hair collected or with headgear.
The animation is the strong point, all very young and very skilled, during the day there are a lot of activities for those who want to have fun, and those who do not want is free to enjoy his peaceful holiday.
Every night a different spectacle, varying between local artists and real shows made by the animators (fabulous! )
Negative notes? You had to stay more than a week!

You get what you pay for. Food is ok, service ok, cleanliness ok. The beach on the other side is amazing. The staff is friendly and helpful. There can be a lack of glasses at the bar in the evening which means you get served in a tiny plastic cups. There are plenty of sun beds at the beach but there is just a handful of roof and no parasols.

Perfect place to stay in Santa Maria. Good animation team, good food, perfect place right at the beach. Nice swimming pool and the employees are very friendly.

Quiet, good food, access to beach, amazing staff, clean room, great salt water pool, brilliant animation team for the kids.

Staff and entertainment was fantastic! Rooms was a little outdated but very clean! Food was very good. Hotel service was excellent staff couldn't do more to please you. Would highly recommend for the price we paid. 680 pounds well spent!

It is a 2.5* hotel at most, but it offers a nice local atmosphere and is definitely worth visiting.

Great staff great food very clean rooms. Wi-Fi did not work in the rooms with sea view and it's also too expensive.

This hotel was surely very good 20 years ago, but today it is exceeded.
In spite of everything, C is clean and located a few meters from the beach.
Meals are good, no more.

We stayed a week at criola, good food, nice welcome, clean rooms, excellent animation (especially Stefany) but x please change head restaurateur … xke and grouchy, obnoxious and rude! Back in Sardinia.

Decadent, if it weren't for good food I would say to avoid totally.

We all got ill by the pool and food. It says it was refurbished but all they did was add a new restaurant so the place is scratty, toilet rolls holding broken windows in place, toilet without toilet seat! Exposed wires by showers, non shutting windows and the manager said it didn't matter because there was no crime in the hotel! The rep was rubbish and didn't move us because she said other people have different standards to us! The only good thing was the animation team who were brilliant with entertainment but that isn't a reason to go there. Take my advise and chose a different hotel or you'll know what I mean! Please comment if you too had a similar experience to me!

Really nice village attached to the beach in a minute you will reach the ocean, clean and wonderful food really really recommended as place.

Nice set enjoying a good location with beautiful beach and sea at its feet.
Good and varied food with a lot of fish. Room fair with big problems of water supply, and especially lack of hot water. Been reported several times at the reception of the hotel, without further action. In this regard, barely gracious reception home. Rooms overlooking the patio, very bright.
Hotel frequented by a majority of Italian tourists, without embarrassment or discretion, very unpleasant, characters who really feel owners of places.
Facilitators (Jay and Stress) great, always available from arrival at the airport until the departure airport. Really big thanks to them.

Good all-inclusive hotel at the beach, about 1.4 km west of Santa Maria. Clean but worn amenities. Decent restaurant with set menu, no a la carte. Activities all day long, large salt water pool, tennis court, beach games lanes, etc. This is definitely 3++ stars, staff and atmosphere is 4 stars. Not first class but I can definitely stay here again.

Island Of Sal. 4 stars exaggerated. But it is in Africa in a very poor country. For African standards very clean and tidy.
