The service was perfect and the room was spotless. Also the front desk staff was so frıendly.

Exceptionally courteous staff and the hotel as a whole was clean and tidy. Even the accent colored lighting at night made the experience overall enjoyable there was no issue with parking and overall.

This is a interesting place. The room was large, comfortable, and clean. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

Beautiful place, with a very accommodating host. He gave us a better room with beautiful view because it was available and he wanted us to be comfortable. Breakfast was nice too and the view is stunning! I would recommend this bed and breakfast!

If you need a place to stay in Victoria once the restrictions have been lifted or if you need to travel for a medical appointment like we did, Marketa’s is a great choice. Comfy, clean rooms in a beautiful Victoria house that is centrally located. The breakfast was delicious and Marketa is lovely.

Love the Victorian style house with nice rooms. We book the room with jacuzzi. Like sitting in the living room. Free parking and delicious breakfast in the morning. Love coming here to a have quite getaway. Walking distance to downtown waterfront, parliament building and Museum.

Short walk to the harbour. Heritage home. Great breakfasts.

Very great B & B. Very nice and furnished with a lot of Love. Breakfast is a Dream and a Top Trip in the early Homemade Mini Muffins. Very inexpensive. From here, the centre (about 20min) and also Fishermans Warf (a few minutes) can easily reach the Centre (about 20min) and also Fishermans Warf (a few Minutes)

Very pleasant experience at this bed and breakfast. We reserved the room with a shared bathroom, but it was a little less expensive. The bedroom was comfortable and cute. The food in the morning was easily the highlight of our stay, being one of the best breakfasts that I have ever had at a B&B. Great job! Looking forward to our next stay here :)

This Bed and Breakfast is clean, comfortable and on the "we'll be back" list. The breakfasts portions are perfect. Some local B & B's servings are too big, while some others don't offer a big enough to carry you through the morning. Marketa has developed a menu that offers delicious suggestions. We stayed for 6 breakfasts and were always happy with our breakfast. The room was very comfortable, with a private bathroom with shower. The staff are very friendly. Again, we will be back.

I stayed this place once. The owner and hostess Marketa was very friendly. This is a budget B&B at a good location. I definitely recommend it if you want to experience what Victoria has to offer but don't want to spend too much on lodging. You know, hotels in James Bay area can be very expensive in high seasons.

Lovely B&B in the heart of downtown Victoria. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is pretty good. We had to share a bathroom, but that prove to be a problem.

Incredibly warm and welcoming feeling. When checking in, the first thing we were given some tasty homemade muffins. Lovely hosts with a little twist and perfect humor made everyone sure feel like home. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and rather quickly served despite all guests were there at the same. We even enjoyed our private bath tub on our second night, not to mention the electric indoor fireplace. We were told that Marketa's bnb is perfect, but it was more like a dream of a warm hug coming true. I'd say this place is already a reason to visit city of Victoria.

We are staying 2 nights so far we have enjoyed our stay here very much. Lovely cosy romantic room. Shower jucusy two person tub in the room. At night we hear see the horse drown carrages from our window Lovely house built in 1912 in town within walking distance of fisherman's wharf parliament building etc. Had a lovely full English breakfast included.

I was my first time staying here. I was surprised when arrived and didn't meet anyone at the reception, after figuring out how to get to my room the good surprises start to began. The room was an old-style furnished but felt very warm welcome. For breakfast my partner and I ordered egg benedits and egg florentine, they were very good, especially egg florentine, I would recommend. Definitely come back!

The place was beautiful and the staff were outstanding. We were celebrating our 2nd anniversary and they even place a nice bottle of champagne, card wishing us a happy anniversary, couple of chocolates and fresh blueberries to help us celebrate. Plus breakfast in the morning a great. I would definitely recommend staying here. I know I would like to go back again.

Simply fantastic. It's in a old house (1912) very nice. Staff and owner were super! Breakfast a la carte. Rooms big and cleaned. 5 minutes walk from fisherman's wharf. Parking behind the house. Amazing!

Great place to stay in. Very hospitable hosts and the breakfast is unbelievablely terrific. Fresh orange juice. Fresh cut seasonal fruit. Fresh coffee.

It's a nice and tiny bed and breakfest, book it with the fancy Whirlpool. The Waterfront is in short walking distance.

We didn't feel either safe or welcomed at the facility. The hosts only appear for several hours in the morning, leaving the keys at the door for those who come in the evening. At night, a fire alarm went on for no reason, and there was nobody to take care of it. And, a fire in an old wooden house is not something you want to experience… Also, I've booked a particular room two months in advance, and the day of arrival (! ) the host tried to call me saying she has changed my room 'because she got a better long-term customer' to the original one. Well, at least this was honest… a bit cynical, though.

Marketa, the owner is a lovely host. She was able to accommodate me with a room on very short notice. The B and B is clean, quiet & in a great location in Victoria. I'd stay again. Thank you Marketa!

Pro: Excellent location (You can walk to Empress Hotel and Fisherman's Wharf from this B & B), Hearty homemade breakfast, Kindness, Free Parking Con: The house is quite old (As I know, it was built in the year when my granddad was born. ) and not well insulated. It is not warm at night. So this B&B is not for the one that likes warm room temperature. Tim Horton's, McDonald's, or any cafeteria where you can have breakfast is not available around this area. So, if you want to stay around this area, you had better not choose a hotel where breakfast is not available. Result: I'm satisfied with my choice. Stayed March 2016

Dec 12/2015 I had booked a room for Xmas. I have a small dog. They state they take Pets. But do not clarify what rooms or if they are available. After booking they called me to tell me they only take dogs in 2 lower economy suites away from main stream. As Clients complain no matter where they are. Also their room was booked long term. I suggest they up-grade their web site. To state what rooms are pet friendly and if they are available at time of booking. What is the point of on-line booking! Very disappointing.

I have stayed at B&B's and have never experienced a breakfast like the one Marketa serves, Eggs Florentine, Lox Bagel, French Toast, and many more options. The house is absolutely gorgeous as well, a beauty from 1912! Definitely stay here next visit to Victoria.
