beds are so comfortable, rooms are extremely clean and beautiful, views are amazing and location is great! cant forget about the amazing staff that run this hotel, always friendly and inviting! I do have to say though there is one employee that really stood out to me on my last stay here (march 4-6th) — huge shoutout to Xavier! what an amazing staff member, so personable, polite, welcoming and friendly! definitely goes above and beyond making you feel so welcome here! definitely can’t wait to come back! and just to add, everything they are doing to prevent the spread of covid-19 is fantastic, felt very safe here! — chelsea davies.

This hotel is amazing. Perfectly located in walking distance to most fun in town. The staff is the best I've ever experienced and I'm fortunate to travel a fair amount. Ebi was out the best!

I was very disappointed by my treatment at this hotel. I made an error and had booked the hotel for the night before my stay so I had no reservation when I arrived. This was, of course, my fault but the handling of the issue by the staff was very poor. They were totally unsympathetic and basically said "you didn't show for your reserved time and we lost money by not being able to re-book the room. What are we supposed to do? " For a start, maybe being human about it and caring that my vacation might be ruined? Calling me the night before and saying "Hey, we notice you haven't arrived yet. Are you coming? " then the I could have corrected the issue and they could have rebooked the room. Maybe saying, "so sorry about that Sir, let me see what I can do to help. " something. Instead they just kept explaining to me the concept of not being able to re-book the room like I was an idiot who doesn't understand how a business worked. I suggested refunding me at least the cost of cleaning the room since they didn't have to do that and they laughed at me. I understand policy and I understand how a business works. But even a sympathetic ear and come concession to the unfortunate situation would have been something. For the hotel $300 is a rounding error. For me it was half the budget for my romantic night away with my girlfriend that we had been looking forward to. Basically the hotel staff here had a chance to go above and beyond here and be absolute heroes and save my trip.

Amazing view, comfy, quiet and spacious room. Loved how close it was to everything (walking easy), and a great hotel pub where we enjoyed drinks and entertainment.

We booked a trip over to Victoria last minute and we decided to stay at this property. We were rewarded with an upgraded room on the top floor with a spectacular view of the city. I would stay here again if I make it back to Victoria.

Amazing staff and great hotel. The rooms are beautiful. We had a room on the 17th floor (top) with a balcony and it was just phenomenal. There is a restaurant in the hotel (table 21) with a good breakfast buffet as well as another pub below the hotel with live music and great food. The only part we didn’t love about our stay was that there was no video on demand on the tv. This was a minor amenity that we did not really need but just that we noticed. We saw some incredible sunrises from our balcony and there was even an incredible view of the city from the skylight and window in the bathroom. Would definitely stay here again and opt for a “view” room when booking. Fairly reasonably priced as well given that we stayed in one of the top rooms.

Superb modern hotel. Full when we arrived but next day honoured my Diamond status and moved us to a lovely 3 bedroom suite on the 15th floor. Very white, clean and modern. Another couple in our party stays at the Magnolia and preferred the Doubletree. Even asking for cookies each day when they visited us to enjoy the space we had. Hotel was VERY obliging with providing extra cookies. Best Doubletree I’ve stayed at, even compared to the one in Dubai on JBR. Totally recommend if staying in Victoria.

Very good service. We were originally placed in a room that was next to a small baby who would cry frequently. When we asked politely to move they accommodated us immediately. The room was clean and the location is great for walking. Renting a car for the day is easy because it's right next door. Probably more economical than paying for parking every night to just rent a car on the days you need it.

GUESTS BEWARE! This would be a zero if possible. This hotel has a ridiculous cancellation policy and fee. When cancelling three days in advance, they did not inform me of the fee. I hold significant status and have been loyal to the Hilton brand for years. I tried to diligently to have the fee removed, but the hotel wouldn't reverse the charge, even after contacting Hilton's corporate customer service. I will never stay at or recommend this hotel. I'm very bothered that Hilton has so little control over their individual hotels. I've been so loyal to Hilton over the years, which is now no longer the case. Hilton will be third or fourth option for me moving forward.

The hotel people are very friendly and helpful. The mattresses very comfortable, to sleep all the time.

The location of the hotel is central and convenient but unfortunately the staff is so incredibly rude, condescending and borderline bullying I could never make a recommendation supporting this establishment. We stayed this past weekend and every staff interaction we had made us feel unwelcome. One front desk person made a rude comment in front of a ton of other guests and made me feel about an inch tall. From check in to valet, their staff needs some etiquette training for an attitude adjustment. LOTS of other nearby hotels to choose from. Do yourself a favour and Stay away from here!

This is a really nice hotel with great service. In addition, it's walking distance to pretty much everything you'd visit in downtown Victoria. Directly behind The Empress and many of the rooms have fantastic views. Only downside, mandatory valet parking at $20.

Great location in the heart of downtown made it incredibly easy to explore Victoria. Rooms are nice with very comfortable beds and bedding. Fantastic views from the level we stayed on and great service all around.

We were very pleased with our lovely room, it was sleek and modern with a huge walk-in shower and luxury toiletries, fluffy bathrobes, Keurig coffee machine, big screen TV, and free cookies upon arrival. The delicious buffet breakfast was included and staff were very kind and helpful. Overall a wonderful stay!

Clean rooms, good views, and altogether a satisfactory experience. The restaurant is nice and has a fair number of gluten free options as well. The hotel is located down town, and close to a lot of the places you might want to see, like the Empress, Parliament building, Bug Zoo, and plenty of restaurants and stores.

Great location in Victoria. The staff was super friendly and the room was spacious. Would stay here again. Be sure to check out the pub on the lower level, they have a great selection of craft beers.

Yay! Spent 2 nights here and had a very enjoyable time! We had one of the suites with a huge counter, sink, microwave, bar fridge, and cupboards. Loved having the bedroom in its own room, and a closed washroom, and the dinning table. It was such an amazing apartment set up! The valet in the evenings was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the morning was hot and delicious. We even had the chief stop at our table and ask how everything was going. My only complaint is that our bed sagged in the middle and was uncomfortable for that reason.

We enjoyed our stay at Double Tree by Hilton. We were offered their signature fresh house baked walnut cookies upon arrival and bottles of water. I thought that was a sweet touch. Comfortable clean rooms and great location. Attentive hotel staff. We had a minor electrical issue in our room the first night and they kindly located us to a higher floor the second floor for the second night. We were providrd with a complemetary breakfast buffet at their hotel cafe. Simple buffet — definitely go early while the food is fresh, otherwise it sits out in warmers — which is common practice. Overall we enjoyed the proximity to the harbour and an short walk to the Bay centre for shopping and several dinning options.

Typically you cannot leave your dog alone in your room, however DoubleTree allows this so you can go for a nice dinner downtown instead of getting the usual take-out to accommodate your pup. Our dog unfortunately started howling while we were out for dinner, and DoubleTree gave us a shout and asked if they had our permission to take him for a walk! We were able to finish our dinner and come back to our dog hanging out in reception with the staff. Not only will we stay here next time, we are actually looking for reasons to go!

Excellent location, and 5-stars for customer service. Staff was genuine and and helpful. Room was modern and clean, excellent breakfast, and convenient valet parking. Only minor complaints, duvet was too warm, and no extra towel racks in the bathroom — but really an excellent hotel. And right in the heart of downtown Victoria.

The hotel accommodated us arriving a couple of hours early and gave us some delicious cookies as well. The room was clean, up-to-date, and the hotel well located and run by extremely accommodating staff. The hotel is working walking distance of all downtown touristy places.

A great view, just wow! The location is perfect as well. Free chocolate chip cookies (warm! ), just ask the front desk. I probably gained a lot of weight because of those cookies LOL.

Room ceiling had issues as pictured. We informed the front desk of the issue, and all they did was thank us for letting them know. They didn’t even discount our stay for the distressing ceiling that came back to throughout our stay. I didn’t think that was fair. Otherwise, the hotel room was nice.

Great hotel. Great location. Great staff. My only complaint is the elevators when trying to go down on a lower floor they often start at the top and by the time they get to you they are full.

Foxtrot Tango Whisky Bar, located in the Hilton DoubleTree is a world class cocktail bar. Exceptional staff who are knowledgeable and passionate about what they do make every visit amazing. I cannot say enough about this place, I absolutely love it.

This is an awesome hotel in the heart of Victoria. Perfect location for anyone who wants to just walk and enjoy the city. Everyone at the front desk is very friendly and they are all genuinely interested in helping you enjoy the city. The valet service is nice and just helps reduce a bit of stress when having to park in downtown Vic. The room was very nice with a great view and had a fantastic A/C system. Highly recommended.

Great hotel, awesome location and better yet customer service. We really enjoyed our stay, and are thankful for the room upgrade and the way we were treated as Diamond members. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to visit Victoria, BC. You can actually come out of the front door and be in the heart of the city and the Bay Area. So give it a try, and you won't be disappointed.

Really nice hotel. From the inside, it looks brand new — like we were the first to stay in our room. Rooms are well appointed. Complementary breakfast was awesome.

The hotel itself is quite nice. I was able to stay in a suite, which had a great view and a good layout. The valet parking is very nice and cheaper than other hotels in the area. The real downside was the small elevators.

A truly hidden gem! Have walked by this hotel many times and nothing from the street tells you how beautiful it really is. We stayed in a king suite and it was so wonderfully laid out and very modern. It was clean, very comfortable bed and the staff were great. Valet service is 20 a stay which was kind of a drag but we had our car within minutes and it was better than trying to find our own space around town. Gorgeous view and just an all around wonderful experience.

This hotel was a delightful surprise. Many rooms have a good view of Victoria's inner harbour, the parliament buildings and significant historic landmarks. The rooms are spacious, attractive and comfortable. The restaurants are excellent and there are several other dining and drinking establishments nearby. You're in the heart of the city's shopping and entertainment district, as well. A comfortable rest awaits you upon returning from your adventures to your room.

The hotel is located a few blocks from the main part of the harbour, so the location is pretty good. The staff are very helpful and friendly; this was the first time we traveled with our dog and they made it really easy. Dogs also get a treat when they check in, humans get cookies which I think is one of doubletree's customs. The bed was very comfortable, I wish I could have slept in more! The rooms have balconies, which was nice especially since my dog loves balconies. The only bad thing about the hotel (and maybe the side we were facing, towards the harbour) is that it was pretty loud even during the night due to some sort of construction and loud people.

We stayed here for 2 nights of our honeymoon and on the third night booked a "fancier" more expensive hotel. In hindsight we should have stayed at the double tree! Rooms were clean and well maintained. Food was delicious in the restaurant and the pub downstairs gave us a fantastic night of entertainment. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I will gladly stay at this hotel again, very impressed with the customer service!

My room was recently renovated and extremely nice. The staff was great, and the cookies at check-in were delicious!

The staff is what turns this from a nice hotel to an outstanding place to stay. I would recommend it to anyone. Centrally located, comfy beds, small bar, good water pressure. It has everything a good hotel needs. But the staff lives the promise of 'we will make it right'. Nothing is too much trouble and everyone is helpful.

Location is great. We got a room with view overlooking empress (unfortunately empress was not nder construction so did not look that good. Rooms are new everything is very new and clean. Ben is a little too soft. Thanks for warm cookies at check in!

I stay here for work a few times a quarter. The staff is always awesome and the renovations have made this into a beautiful luxurious hotel with prime location downtown. The views are amazing. Would highly recommend.

Double tree Victoria had a really clean room. Staff was really nice and helpful.

The front desk staff was great! But the construction above our room starting at 7AM was not appreciated. Especially when we called to ask them to stop as it had been 3 hours of them using power tools non stop, they at first apologized and then the second time they told us to wait. Why not wait until we check out at 12? Pretty inconsiderate. Thanks for the worst sleep in a while!

An awesome experience. Was my friend's birthday and they upgraded us for free to an amazing suite on the 15th floor looking over the city. Staff was extremely nice and the room was gorgeous. Couldn't be happier!

Not happy at all. The only good part was the cookie. So I got awoken this morning by the maid running up and down the hall on her walkie talkie. I tried to ignore it for about an hour. Finally at 9 Am I told her to be quiet and reminded her to be courteous of my "do no disturb" sign which she completely ignored. Ontop of that there are no curtains which is very strange. Make sure you bring something to wrap around your head because you will be woken up with the sunlight at about 5 am then again by the hotel staff around 8. Does not scream class to me. What a classles, overpriced shithole in all honesty. Will not be staying here again.

Researching hotels in the Victoria area was tricky at first. But when we saw the website for Executive House, we thought we would give this "boutique" hotel a try. Let's start with the check in process — unfortunately, we arrived early, but were very warmly greeted but politely told that our room would be ready in a few hours. This was of course okay, we just thought we would give it try seeing how we were in the area. The key to this experience was that it was polite, friendly and warm. We returned to the hotel later on in the afternoon to check in. There were probably 4 people at the reception area — the young lady who helped us was a trainee, but honestly, your hotel has picked a good one! Not only was she friendly, but she asked all the right questions (in my opinion) In fact she offered to bring us extra towels to our room (which housekeeping did promptly), offering additional towels — this was the first time I have ever heard this — and I've travelled all over the world. When we arrived in our room — it was spotless. I've never felt that I wanted the shower curtain to even brush against my body while showering, but this curtain looked brand new. I was confident that this was going to be an amazing stay at this property. Everything in the room was just so clean. Of course this is what we would expect from a room in a hotel — but it is also true that this is not always the case. What a wonderful surprise.
