Stayed there for one night. The air conditioning was not working properly and the room was super hot, stuffy, and smelled like socks. Basic condiments like a simple coffee maker or a fridge was not available. We travelled all the way from Vancouver to Toronto and Quebec and all the hotels and inns on our way even the ones in the middle of literally nowehere had a mini fridge or a coffee maker. Asked the reception but they refused to change the room because it was apparently too late. The beds were clean and comfortable though. The breakfast was so low quality and they bought the cheapest stuff ever.

Front desk staff was very very helpful. Florence and another front desk lady made my crummy day (car needed boost, no one in downtown Quebec City stopped) much better. The hotel staff here truly cares about the visitors. Can't say the same about other people in Quebec that drove by without helping a family of 4, for a good 30 mins. Would recommend the stay here, close to downtown but for a very fair price. Thanks hotel du nord for making a terrible time in Quebec City, much much better.

Very cosy. Clean like after renovation. Breakfast is very good, l got tasty green tea. Staff is very friendly. Free Wi-Fi did not work after midnight but we did not complain because it was not important for us at all. It worked in the morning, so maybe it was just an accident. Overall we were very happy to be there. After we saw pictures of cheaper motels we were very excited how this one looks and feels.

Very friendly staff. Spacious, comfortable and clean Suite. Just little regret that the curtains let the daylight break through too early in the morning!

Great room, very clean, well equipped and the staff very courteous, welcoming and smiling. The pool is a plus with the kids. The water is clear, has good temperature and the schedules are ideal for families. Correct breakfast: waffles, bagels, muffins, bread, jam, fruit, coffee and juice. I'll be back!

Beautiful hotel, good price, perfect hotel in the heart of downtown QC, close to everything, very nice room. It's definitely worth the price. In my opinion, this is the perfect hotel for Quebec City, you just have to walk out and it's all there. I definitely go back, even the check in was perfect! Thank you all.

In general it is a good hotel. Clean, well located, courteous staff and continental breakfast which did the trick very well. Where I was disappointed it was our room which was tiny and on the side of Boulevard St Vallier so quite noisy … and on the 3rd floor of a hotel without a lift (we travel with our baby and all the stock that comes with it). But for $198 for 2 nights with lunch included and parking counted, I would go back but would ask for a room at the back and the 1st floor.

Clean And Tidy very fair price all in all a good place the service is really good to friendly and rather helpful :).

Ordinary room and very poorly insulated. We could hear everything that was going on in the hotel. He had a Chinese biscuit that dragged around the corner of the hallway, next to the stairs for 2 days (maybe more, there was when we arrived). The bed moves enormously (metal base). Paid Parking?!

Decent hotel Despite some things to improve. In the suite (we were upgraded) the handle of the fridge was broken and there was some hair left in the drawers of the bathroom vanity, everything else was OK. And for breakfast I would have liked the salty. A good hotel though.

It's close to many restuarantes and travajadores were very nice and helpful!

Cheap. Good service. Have a nice lunch. But very basic.

Really terrible. The room was very cramped to put a park for a baby. The parking system is pretty much arranged and at 2:00 am I had to breastfeed my baby and we found some bed fleas in our bed. One dead and two alive! Plus we had to insist on getting reimbursed and leaving in the middle of the night with a 3 month old baby. Really hell.

Clean rooms, just a "little" smaler as on the pictures, was a good photographer ejh, super helpful staff.

Nice, clean hotel with a friendly staff. I would definitely opt for the larger room (not the economy room) as it was really small and you then realize that flat surfaces like a desk or table are underrated. Good breakfast, relaxing pool and right on the bus line that heads right into Québec, City. I would definitely stay here again!

Weird layout but quaint design. If you are looking for an affordable place I a great location this suits the bill. Calm and intriguing neighbourhood next door. Try the poutinerie open LATE late nearby.

No elevator. The room was very small and the bathroom was very nice.

This hotel is conveniently located to highway and to old Quebec. Has a nice heated pool and adequate breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

It is a nice place, room are clean, staff is friendly, free breakfast is ok. Unfortunately the Wi-Fi is terrible and we can't have signal in every room. All the rest is fine.

Nice room good nice area bedding with a convenience store close by. Breakfast well Achalende but no dirty. Good place to visit Quebec by car on foot or by bus.

The staff were very friendly and we slept properly. There was no hand soap in our room and little stains on our sheets and towels.

It's the perfect distance for a nice walk to old quebec (I believe 3km). We spent two night here and enjoyed access to the pool with clean towels. The rooms were quiet and they were defiantly spacious enough for the two of us. The a. C. Was amazing given they were two very hot days. The receptionist who helped us check in was fantastic with speaking English and explaining everything to us. I would like to thank her for making our stay amazing. I would defiantly recommend this hotel especially if your looking for peace and quiet after a long day of touring.

Not really in the center but but with private parking at five bucks a night and two buses going to the old town if you want to drive there are parking lots at fifteen dollars a day
Simple Hotel with nice staff rooms a bit fuss but at the end cozy breakfast just enough.

The rooms were clean and the water pressure was good, continental breakfast standard. Would have been just fine if contractors hadn't started work right outside our window at 6 in the morning. Hotel said they knew about it in advance; we didn't, and cancelled the second night.

Clean Hotel and friendly and helpful staff. Location not really central.

A very nice hotel for a reasonable price. We even got an unexpected upgrade to a renovated room. Even tough they're a tad small, the rooms are clean and we'll maintained. I would gladly go again. The continental breakfast was definitely a plus too!

Good atmosphere and relatively cheap. Only knock is that the Wi-Fi would not work and when I inquired about printing show tickets, they were unable to help me.

It was a great hotel for the price we paid. It was close to the venue we were attending. The breakfast room had a lot of great items to eat for breakfast.

Staff are incredibly helpful and kind. The rooms are spacious and clean with really comfortable beds and higher quality soaps and shampoos. Not the nicest neighbourhood in Quebec city but only a 30 minute walk to the center of old town.

This place was good and a close walk to the city, on the Map it looked much further.

The hotel was old but clean most of the personnel was nice except the women in charge of this hotel "not a lady" was loud and rude. Will not recommend or come back.

I found this hotel perfect for visiting family in Quebec, family rooms are huge and very nice, there is a small kitchen space functional and well equipped, the breakfasts are hearty. With the pool you can relax (and relax also small) late in the day. An unbeatable value.

This hotel was great. Not right in the heart of things, but close enough to walk and about half the price of others. It has a really great salt water pool in the basement, and a free decent breakfast every day. It's simple, but cheap and their staff were very kind and helpful. Would definitely stay here again. Also Chez Phuc the restaurant close by is great food at good prices.

Hôtel relativement modeste, c'est coquet malgré certain petits manques de finition. Excellent accueil, Jacques à la réception donne un service impeccable! Très beau séjour à l'hôtel du Nord, prix bas et près de plusieurs points touristiques.

Hard to rate this one. Affordability: ++ I've been able to stay in better chain hotels in better locations of the city for the same rate. This one was all I could find at short notice Rooms: +++ Well laid out for sharing with a full wall and glass door separating the two bed rooms. I suspect that some of the rooms may have been (still are? ) set up with a suite (a sitting/work area/kitchen) separate from the bed room. Room was clean with a TV in each bed room Staff: ++++ Very friendly, bilingual (Eng/Fre). What I liked about the people I dealt with was that they were obviously well spoken and made a genuine effort to help Other occupants: + Full of noisy teens. There may have been something going on downtown drawing them there. The "lounge" was stale and had 2 full walls of Video Lottery Terminals and the clientele you would expect form such a place Location: +++ Parking was "busy" but always available. Not to far from downtown, but more of a hike than a walk. Grocery stores and restaurants nearby. Once a nice neighborhood that went into decline but is fighting to make a comeback. Food: — The typical cheap North American continental breakfast. Cold hard boiled eggs from yesterday (? ), toast/bagels/mass produced micro croissant, standard counter fruit (green bananas, apples, oranges), cold cereal. If you want a real continental breakfast, travel an stay in a European hotel! Thank goodness their are fine restaurants in Quebec City proper.
