Comfortable rooms and great location in Griffintown, which has come a long way since my visit in 2016. Pleasant surroundings.

Good location in Griffin Town. Has a restaurant in lobby that has ladies night on Mondays. There is a Starbucks nearby as well. Convenient location.

Walking distance to The Bell Center, great shopping, fun bars and so much more.
The people and service we're outstanding.

I wish I could do a star rating, because I wouldn’t give Alt hotel a one star, full on not recommended, but there were a couple issues that would make me not give it a 5 star rating. More like a 3 I was there on a business conference for 3 nights, with my husband. The boutique hotel was very nice, and the rooms were trendy and not your typical best western type of hotel room. However, I really wasn’t thrilled with the fact that the shower had a still quite see through glass wall with a bit of frosted to it, that is visible within the rest of the room, so anyone you are there with could watch you shower. Not a big deal on our trip, as I was with my husband, but I wouldn’t have felt comfortable with that situation at all if I had been traveling with anyone else. Also, while it is secure in the sense that you need your room key to be able to take the elevator to your floor, somehow someone else’s room key was able to access and our room, and I’m not sure if they were told the wrong room, or just came back from the bars drunk and tried the wrong door, but at around midnight on our third night, someone laughing loudly came right inside our room and woke us up! They immediately scrambled out once we started yelling “hello! ” pretty frantically, so I really don’t think they came in to cause trouble, it was just a mistake, but the key they had definitely shouldn’t have worked on our room door!

Good Location, hip decor, but secure as you need your room key to access the elevators A wedding was on one floor with very loud music, but we did not hear the music on other floors, big plus! Dog friendly, sent a bed, dog water bowl & food bowl to the room before we got to the room! Would stay again if we return.

I attended a 3 day meeting at this hotel. Prior to arrival, I asked if there was a place I could pump milk for my baby. The best thing they could offer was a high traffic public bathroom. It’s unfortunate and surprising that the hotel wasn’t able to provide a more private and dignified area.

Great hotel. Beautiful and very clean. The rooms are a little bit smaller than traditional rooms but they are modern and cozy. The only cons are that the walls seem to be a little thin (heard a conversation next door and in the hallway). I would stay here again. Staff was always very nice and helpful.

Nice hotel in a quiet location. Convient for getting around. Loved the room style. Downside was no fridge in the room and walls were thin so can hear the hall and neighbour. Also bathroom doors need some type of rubber stop as they hang open. Still liked it and would stay again.

Located in a great location this hotel goes above expectations. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The interior of the hotel and the rooms were exceptional. My partner and I loved the comfortable bed. Overall a great experience for anyone staying in Montreal! Wish it was a little bit more cheaper though, but you pay for what you get for sure!

My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay there over the past weekend. The staff was both friendly and helpful. The room was outstanding. The area and proximity to downtown Montreal is also outstanding. While leaving, we noticed dog water dishes and treats in the main lobby… yes, the hotel is pet friendly! Despite my inability to speak French, the staff spoke fluent English (underlying the need for me to hone my own French speaking ability). The Alt Hotel is a must for a return visit!

Not really sure why this place is rated so highly. It was just okay. There is no room service, so if you want food or drinks you have to go to the nearby restaurants and take take-out — as they also do not delivery to your room. Rooms were small and the shower flooring creaked when you stood on it and the evaporation went to the ceiling than dropped al over the floors — not well ventilated. Decor modern and friendly staff.

Nice, modern, comfortable, clean. Pretty much everything anyone could ask for, except a fridge… a fridge would have been nice. That being said I don't know where they would put it as the rooms aren't the biggest, minor gripe. Beds are outstanding though, ultra comfortable if not a little soft. If you require a firm mattress you may have issues — I do not. The bed would have lined me up for the worlds most incredible sleep if it weren't for the blinds. The blinds are awful. The blinds are awful mainly because they are blinds and not the heavy lead lined curtains you find in lots of hotels that value your sleep. As soon as the sun comes up it feels like waking up on the sun — it's just so bright… All in all I really enjoyed my stay and would likely stay again.

Meeting in the fushia room followed by a cocktail on the terrace! Great service and great place! I recommend.

Omg this hotel is amazing. The best beds in the world and I am not lying, I stay in alot of hotels throughout the world and this is the best night's sleep I have had on ages. It not only has good beds it is close to the circuit about 20mins and the local area isn't bad.

Very nice hotel, very well located, right in the heart of trendy Montreal. Rooms are well equipped and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Reasonable and competitive price.

Had issues with shower draining… usually not bad. Stayed there again and the toilet was dirty and there was an insect on the bed sheets…

Loved our stay. We came with our dog for 2 nights. A bed, bowls and poop bags were provided for him. Staff was nice, welcoming and helpful. Will come again!

Nice industrial styled hotel. Very clean. Good service from staff. The rooms are a good size, all typical amenities in the room — Iron, hair dryer, tv, keurig coffee maker. No mini fridge though. It's in Griffintown neighborhood, good location nearby downtown Montreal and old Montreal. Free Wi-Fi in the rooms, good connection. Wasn't a big fan of the bed, a bit on the soft side like a waterbed, but its a personal thing.

Such a lovely property, in such a great location, with such a great team of hospitality ambassadors. I was here for almost two weeks. The next time I’m in Montreal, it will definitely be where I stay! The 15th floor views were sure fantastic!

Were fortunate to have a room on the 17th floor… The view is impregnable on Montreal! It's just beautiful! The room is very well decorated and furnished. In addition the hotel is within a few steps of the Bell Centre for hockey enthusiasts. Finally the staff is really adorable and small care with the guests! We had a very good stay at this hotel!

GOOD: Consistent PRICING (love the rate is same every night, every day of the year), Good, not great beds (not the best sleep but got the job done), good location in a funky, up and coming part of MTL, pet friendly, underground self parking, Staff is efficent enough, if not particularly friendly (very Montreal). Bathrooms have sufficient space. BAD: carpets in the hallway already making the hotel look kinda dated and ratty, the exterior of the building sure is ugly (well at least you can see it from down the street). A VERY RELIABLE and SOLID mid-price, mid-range hotel for MTL, however if you can get one of the boutiques (St Paul, Gault, Nelligan) for under $200 per night, go for that instead.

DSL I got the wrong hotel. I haven't been to this hotel. I have to look at the pictures of this hotel then there looks great. I'm really sorry I will stay at this hotel if I go to downtown Montreal.

Beautiful view with windows along the whole wall. Nice bed and desk set up. I liked the shampoo and conditioner since it was refillable and not those small packet type.

Wow! This place is fantastic! The wife and I went to Montreal for an office Christmas party and stayed at the Alt for the weekend. The staff were very freindly, accomodating and helpful. The hotel itself is spotless and in a great location. The room we were in was very nice. Quite modern. We loved this hotel and will look for their brand wherever we travel. I know there is one in Toronto, maybe there are more…

My husband and I stayed here for New Year's Eve. For me, it worked out great. The hotel is near the main highway so it was easy to get too since we drove. There is a self park garage within the building. There's also several restaurants nearby along with a spa and bakery. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious, modern and the bed was comfortable. Great price for the room too.

Great room, clean, baby bassinet available on request, very friendly and very friendly staff. We reserve every year for Christmas in this hotel, I strongly recomande.

Very nice hotel and good service! However no room service for lunch, a must according to me, luckily there is a lunch restaurant in the same building!
the rooms are very trendy, beautiful bathroom, beautiful shower large enough for 2 people, very comfortable bed, small coffee machine and TV with all the necessary connections easily accessible!

I was there for a two-day training in a conference room. It is very well laid out, the employees are courteous and friendly. The view is excellent!

The room was clean and there was not much noise. On this side, it was perfect. There is just no fridge in the rooms and the mattress was a bit too soft to my tastes.

Beautiful hotel well located in Montreal's new trendy Griffintown. The terrace on the 7th floor and its layout to work with ease and tranquility is awesome. Room one (1) bed is nice, the bed cozy and the umbrella shower sublime! We also like easy access, convenient to indoor parking. And all this with a courteous, professional welcome and above all full of good humor and smiles. Thank you for this beautiful short stay in the heart of Montreal.

Really nice, modern hotel in downtown Montreal. Rooms are small but well-decorated with efficient storage solutions. Large, modern bathroom. Unfortunately, no refrigerator. Canteen available at the hotel foyer. Starbucks and multiple restaurants in and near the hotel. Great views of downtown Montreal from rooms at the front of the hotel.

Nice people and a pleasant experience overall. The only negative was the heavy amount of construction taking place in the neighborhood, but that's not the hotels fault! Loved that they have a parking garage located on site, along with a Starbucks and some restaurants located in the same building. You would never need to leave! Definitely an up and coming area that will be bustling for sure when construction around it is complete. Would highly recommend!

I would go back. Good value and low price. Nice location near both the Old Port and downtown Montreal — all within easy walking distance. Full service Starbucks with lobby access and great breakfast restaurant in an adjoining building.

Loved it! Lovely minimalist modern design, super clean rooms, friendly, helpful, and responsive staffs, great location. I've left one of my cardigans in this hotel and right after I called them about this, they have sent me the cutest follow up email and different shipping options to chose from. They kept calling me to make sure I am not facing any difficulties (very considerate). Eventually, I have asked a friend to pick up the cardigan for me (the FedEx shipping cost was 45$ ish and didn't wort it). He received my wrapped cardigan in a cute package and was treated with a complimentary coffee! (which I find it a bit rare here) I just wish there was a mini fridge in the room and a lock on the bathroom door! Don't forget to try the COCO restaurant's breakfast menu!

Modern, minimalist style hotel that's exactly what's needed for a Montreal trip. It's located a short and easy walking distance from Old Montreal and the Gare Centrale. We came from the airport and getting to the hotel was quite easy with mass transit. Hotel has the upper floors of a high rise but walk in from the street. Several restaurants and businesses share the lower levels including a nice breakfast place. I ordered way too much but loved it! Only weird part was the shower handle, which was more like a knob but it was easily workable and the water was hot for as long as you wanted. And it was awhile! All of the staff members were extremely helpful with everything and the relaxed atmosphere made our flexible checkout a breeze. 5/5 with no regrets!

Dear Reader, … I wanted to say “Thank you! ”, to the awesome team at your Pearson Airport location. Kudos especially to Cassandra on the Check In desk. I have had occasion to stay there twice in the last three weeks and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the service and facilities. The staff was friendly, cheerful, knowledgeable and accommodating. My room was clean and bright and had all of the amenities I needed for a restful stay. The lobby concept is wonderful, with its pockets of home-like settings. It’s been a long five weeks for me, but I found refuge in your hotel. Thank you, again! Ellen Panter.

The hotel is very modern and clean and location is great! Short walk to the waterfront and old port. Lots of restaurants, cafes and stores minutes away. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Made us feel special by surprising us with a small bottle of champagne, treats and a card in our room for our anniversary. Also dog friendly which is a lifesaver!

Location was great, (safe walking distance to subway, lots of restaurants) great view from corner room, room had a minimalistic modern style, usb ports available in room, no mini fridge, no ice machine, service was good (Sunday all day checkout included) indoor parking for 25$ a day under hotel. Nice lounge/boardroom areas.

Very upscale and modern styled hotel. Great location when looking at local attractions such as the Cathedral Notre Dame, St. Catherine street and the art museums. Most can be walked to from this hotel. There are three restaurants in the same building along with a Starbucks. So you'll never starve or look too far for food. The staff is very friendly and helpful check in was very prompt and efficient. There is free Wifi and parking in the building it's $25CAD. The hotel offers it at $28 but you can come and go as you please. Right behind the hotel is a nice walk/bike way to keep active it goes all the way down past Old Montreal.

A little bit away from the core of the city, but this hotel is amazing! The minimal but contemporary design is inspiration-worthy — mix of pallettes, textures (different wood walls), colours (black, white, with occasional splashes of colour) was very beautiful and creative. Friendly service, clean rooms, and very comfortable to sleep in. Got a double suite for just myself since they were out of singles. It's connected to a restaurant and a Starbucks in the main lobby, which has a nice swinging hammock. Also super fast Wi-Fi, which is rare for hotels sometimes. Just fantastic!

Terrific hotel! When I made my booking, I told Alt Hotel Montreal team that we were coming to Montréal to celebrate my dad's birthday and that he'd appreciate a high-floor room. Not only did we get a high-floor room, but there was a sweet birthday card from the reception team along with some tasty chocolates in the room when we arrived. That was a kind and wonderful little surprise. Of course, the room was clean and comfy and fresh. Thanks!

Trees bon service et parking pratique.

I booked this hotel for my husband and his brother. They were visiting Montreal for a week. They report back that the rooms were comfortable and attractive. The best thing they said was the attention to detail and customer service from the employees. An example is how at check in the gentleman at the front desk was asking the usual "where are you visiting from" type questions. Usually it is just seems like random chitchat but you don't thinks they really care. Shortly after settling in they got a knock on their door and a card was slipped under it. The card had a very nice hand-written "enjoy your stay" type note with personalized restaurant recommendations. Thank you Alt for taking such good care of my family when I couldn't.

I was there for a business meeting and the hotel was really cool, with nice colors and a very modern look. The conference rooms were really nice with all the tech and features you need plus a variety of rooms for different needs. Only issue were the chairs that are not the most comfortable and no recycling bin. But definitely worth checking out for meetings.

The Alt hotel is a European feeling, modern, and friendly hotel. The service is excellent, the views from almost all of the rooms are great, don't miss the terrace on the 7th floor for stunning views of the old port. I spend about a week a month at this hotel and it is a home away from home.

Hotel was great. In expensive, clean room, good staff. Only issue was distance from metros & train station. May be difficult to access for people with lots of luggage who aren't taking a cab or bus.

This hotel is too notch if you are into modern spaces. Great views from top floors and a Starbucks on the lobby. What's more can you ask for. Fair walking distance to local tourist places but you will benefit from having a car.

Nice, clean and new looking. Rooms are on the small side but comfortable. Underground pay parking only. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rate was decent for downtown-ish Montreal.

I stayed at this hotel for 7 days (6 nights) and I can honestly tell you that this place is outstanding as far as guest service goes. First, it's unbelievably clean and everything is brand new! You don't have to worry about unclean bath towels or mediocre cleaning service. But keep in mind that you will need to walk a fair bit to get to Bonaventure station — if you can catch the bus service across the street do it as it will save you a ton of walking.

Located in the up and coming Griffontown, this Alt hotel is fantastic hotel! From a fun lobby to extremely well designed rooms. Very much appreciate all the smartly located power and USB plugs.

I wish I could go there again. I saw everything, but all the giant numbers on the walls. The ones I saw are 7, 8, 10, and 12. I slept on the 12th floor.

Amazing hotel! I love that it's eco-friendly and very urban! Staff is soooo nice! The gym is so nice and clean. Starbucks is inside the hotel which is awesome as well! Had an awesome stay will definitely come back!

Situated in an up and coming area, this contemporary building is chic and modern with a twist of class. Very different than the normal hotels we are used to. Came for a Habs game with the Bell Center only a 10-15 minute walk away. Would come back again.

I was there with my team of dragonboaters (60+ people) and I have to say that this hotel was absolutely amazing in addition to being generous enough to provide a excellent group rate. The location is close to Old Montreal and several amenities which is great for travelers. The hotel staff were quick to respond and very helpful with all the questions you have. The staff there are very respectful and knowledgeable about the area as well. The rooms themselves were gorgeous. The place looked new and the consistency in terms of quality were the same across all the rooms, regardless of the type/number of beds. Overall, this hotel was of top quality and I would consider staying here again.

I just stayed one night and I can tell you: — it is very new, I guess they just opend — staff is excellent: informal but really nice (young, positive and kind) — Wi-Fi is free and excellent — atmosphere is really really positive — price is fantastic compared to quality I just moved to Marriott in Cahteau Champlain because of a 4 days meeting, and I am already missing it. Here you feel "old", it costs four times, and Wi-Fi is free just for the first day! Next time in Montreal I'll definitely come back to ALT hotel.
