Great course, well maintained. Bring bug spray as the mosquitoes were quite hungry late in the day.

Love the renovations! The only thing we were not happy with is the restaurant. Did not seem that busy. Someone took us to a booth and no one came to ask if we wanted coffee for 15 minutes My breakfast had a big hair on my eggs. She took back to kitchen and said another one being prepared. I was not charged. Had to flag down to get a refill of coffee. Other then the food and service of it, It was great.

Had an amazing valentine dinner food and service was fantastic.

When I booked our dinner party with Jessie for my husbands 60th birthday, you went above and beyond my expectations. The private room downstairs with bathrooms, big screen TV, outside fireplace were beautiful and the ambiance was truly amazing. The food, drinks and service was excellent! We all enjoyed our evening immensely and have wonderful memories for his milestone birthday. Thank you all so much!

No shower curtains, water was freezing bathtub looked like it was from the 80s, and the pool wasn’t working! However the food was amazing!

Golf course was excellent condition! Pro shop staff was absolutely amazing! Unfortunately as for the “Stay” part of our ‘Play and Stay Package’ I cant say was the same! Our room was decent, had a corner executive suite. Was supposed to have embroidered robes, was not there. A towel in the bathroom looked like it had coffee or blood on it. Nicely folded on the shelf with the stain towards the wall. asked for another towel when we took it to the front desk but it was never delivered to our room. The restaurant was HORRIBLE all arround, from service to the food to the quantity and quality. Ordered room service and we felt like we were an inconvenience to the staff regardless if it was 30 minutes left until closing. Had to ask for our drinks while dining in the bar and the food delivered for room service was cold. On top of it all my husband may… and I indicate ***may*** have had some food poisoning. 3 hours after eating room service he was violently ill. Concidering we were celebrating our anniversary that was also NOT taking in concideration whatsoever by the staff when we booked or checked in. We have stayed at other hotels and their was usually something special… chocolates, wine, fresh fruit, etc. The pool was great for the 1hr that we were allowed to be there for due to Covid of course so it is understandable.

My family and I were there this past weekend for my brother wedding and everything was perfect. We had the cutest ring boys and the best part for them was the view of the beautiful golf course. They are 6 and 3 and enjoy everything about golf.

Just this past weekend we stayed at the Mill River Resort! Beautiful resort, restaurant and fantastic rooms. Look forward to heading back this summer!

My husband and I stayed here a few weeks ago. We rented a suite with hopes to have a nice quiet getaway without our children… Was I ever wrong. We were roomed next to what seemed to be a 8ish year olds birthday party. They ran all night long till at least midnight. Our room was vibrating the entire time from them running. Then bright and early at 7 am we were awoken to yelling and screaming again to the point I had to call down to the front desk and complain. I get its a family hotel and I’m fine with that. But the fact I paid extra money for a suite then was roomed directly next door to 10 kids ruined our weekend. I went home tired when we came to rest and relax. Your stay and reconnect offer keeps coming up on my home page and I just felt the need to say something because we came to do that and failed. When we left the very kind man at the front desk offered me a $50 discount off my room. But the fact I paid $200 to stay and listen to kids scream all night/morning doesn’t sit well with me.

We had a fabulous time! The jalapeno popper dip was amazing, the staff was very helpful and the entertainment with Chad Mathews was amazing! We highly recommend this resort!

Lots of winter activities and great food! We'll certainly going back! We had a great time.

They also have good food and very cozy rooms.

Recently renovated. Bunkbed rooms are great for kids. Lots of fun outdoor activities for the family. Perfect location for a family staycation.

Recently my husband and I, and another couple enjoyed a one night stay in adjoining rooms, and next day golf Staycation. Rooms were very clean, beds comfortable, great evening meal with a friendly waitress. Some holes (like and #18) on the golf course were challenging but the course was well maintained with beautiful flowers and shrubbery which made our experience very enjoyable. Definitely recommend the Mill River Resort and golf course to Islanders and tourists.

The burger love burger was amazing. Top choice so far this year.

Knew anything about the resort let alone anything within an hr’s drive.
Concidering we were 2 young couples both of us celebrating our anniversaries, that was also NOT taking in concideration whatsoever by staff. Been to many other hotels that would have offered to buy a bottle of wine or chocolates. These guys… NOTHING! The pool was okay, for the 1hr that we were allowed to be there for. And 40 min of that hr, the slide was off as well as the hot tub! I would come back up to golf, but NEVER to stay at that hotel again. Recomendation 0/10.

We have been coming. To Mill River since 1988 and enjoy it very much. The rooms are great, service good and the food excellent. Lots of things to do.

The pool and water slide is great, Keyan loves it, it's fast and furious. 2 cans of beer and a bottle of sneaky Pierre every day along with a $50.00 gift card. Can't be bad.

Very nice resort. Great place to rest ones head.

Love staying there and the golf packages are awesome. Hoping this pandemic allows a visit soon.

Had a wonderful time Feb 29-Mar3, enjoyed all the outdoor activities great place for families, loved the big suite we had and enjoyed the restaurant.

Great time on Saturday night for the Music series, talent was amazing and the food was so delicious! Great evening and thanks to all involved.

Our family just spent 3 nights there because our daughter got married there NY ‘s Eve. We could not have been more pleased. The staff were wonderful, friendly and very accommodating! The food and service were exceptional! Robin, Louise and Lois were outstanding and could not do enough for us. They were easy to work with and so helpful. Our family has been spending NY there for the past 3 years and have enjoyed it very much. We were given a hospitality suite which was a great gathering place for all
Of us to do puzzles play games and just gather. Again thank you to the wonderful friendly staff at Mill River Resort. Irene MacIsaac.

Very nice resort. Rooms are Awesome and everything you need to relax. The spa was great. Especially the golf course is AMAZING.

Rooms are modern, very clean. View of the golf course is really nice. Sorry we are only here for one night. Will have to come back and spend couple of days. Restaurant was very nice, food was good, some a little pricy.

Wonderful campground and hospitality. Great lay out for site both tents and campers. But why on earth would you cut the grass on a Sunday morning drumming up ever mosquito in the area when people are trying to pack up.

The best place to stay for excellent service… food is awesome, resort is classy and comfortable, staff are beyond accommodating and the grounds are breathtaking. We love it, kids love it and that means we all enjoy the best vacation ever!

Currently staying in 336. Beautiful Reno’s, lobby and pool look great. Love the bunk beds. Reasonable rates. Allowed early check-in. Will come again. 3 concerns: 1) Not advised of boil water advisory when checking in (there was signage that I did not see) due to e. Coli coliform. Bottled water not left in room. … 2) Weird stains on bed frame (see pic)
3) Bathtub stained and chipped. As a room probably meant for kids it’s disappointing that the bathtub is in such rough shape (pic)

We recently stayed at the Mill River Resort. Clearly there have been many upgrades and although the resort looked aesthetically lovely, our stay was not up to “resort” standards. The walls separating the rooms were paper thin, and we were treated to a very loud conversation with profanity at 2:45 am. The beds were older than Methuselah which is not something you would expect in an upgraded resort. The tennis courts were great, but nobody knew how to turn the lights on when it got dark outside. Overall Mill River is situated in a lovely part of West Prince. One can only hope that the owners read these reviews, and make improvements. 

A wonderfully appointed resort whose renovations are worth the visit! We were lucky enough to be there for a company golf day and dinner then meeting's the next day. Our room was stunning; calm, elegant, and relaxing. The lobby is masterful design. It feels fresh, new, elegantly modern, and surprisingly hip. An amazing transformation. I had a few hours of work to do and the setting in the lobby/great room was perfect. The stunning giant table even had pop up receptacles built right in. The patio overlooking the course was a lovely place for the afternoon and the service through the resort was very friendly. The spa was a great experience and I felt well taken care of there. The pool looked fun too. Would love to come back for a longer stay.

With renovations nearing completion, this place has turned from one of the Island's ugliest resorts to one of the Island's best resorts. The lobby is as modern as ever, grounds have been updated, and the rooms are quite nice. However, our room's bathroom was not renovated yet, and the quality difference was very noticeable. The faucet was partly broken, and the shower was spurting water everywhere. Hopefully all rooms will have new bathrooms soon. Pool was nearly constantly busy. If you do want to swim, don't be fooled by an attendant saying it costs money to get in. It doesn't if you are staying at the hotel. Same with tennis and racquetball, they're also free. Golfing facilities are great. Well-stocked pro shop and what appears to be a nice course, though I didn't play. Driving range is nice as well. Apparently there are Volleyball courts as well, near the entrance. Overall, a great resort, and if you want to see Northern PEI this is basically the only option!

My wife and I went for lunch at the restaurant. The service was very good. Food was just okay. My wife had shrimp duo for a starter and blackened fish tacos, both were excellent. My meal wasn't quite as good as hers, I started with the crab and potato cakes and had the fish and chips. My crab cakes tasted great but were very wet and didn't hold together. The fish was very greasy, but tasted great. I won't hesitate to go back there the next time that I am in PEI.

Love this place! The staff are nice and very friendly. Feels like home! Always clean and tidy. The front patio reminds me of an old farm house with the wraparound balcony.

With their recent renovations they have upgraded their rooms to a sleek modern feel. They were still in the middle of completing these upgrades on their bottom floor while our group was staying but the staff kept a very clean and tidy resort. I would look forward to coming back here in the future especially with kids.

Resort is beautiful, did a lovely job with the renovations, kids LOVED the pool! I loved the salt water pool and I never swim unless it’s in the ocean. We came back from the pool, we have 4 kids and one is a baby and we had no water. Took and 1hr and a 1/2 to get it back. We were all wet and cold waiting to shower. We went to the restaurant for lunch and supper. Lunch was ok, I liked the “pad Thai” but it definitely shouldn’t be called pad Thai since it was curry based and was 2 sweet. Never had one like that before. There isn’t really any other restaurants around so we didn’t have much of a choice to go back for supper or we would have went somewhere else. It was awful: (kids were ok. That was fine. First of all I only went because I wanted the chicken and of course hey say they didn’t have any, so I order the fish tacos. It took an HOUR AND 40 mins for our food to come and there were only 4 other tables. People were getting their food and we were still waiting. My mom orders a beet salad but it didn’t have beets, my husband orders the seafood spaghetti (which the waitress tried to get him not to order it because it was so flavourful, she didn’t seem like like cilantro) he gets it and says it has no taste at all and the pasta is very over cooked. Mine was cold, my French fries were cold and soggy from the liquid from the tacos. I think mine was sitting there for a long time.

I have always enjoyed my stay in the past at mill river, well at the time it was Ross mill river resort. But our visit in March was awful, not only did they put us in a room where we asked to not be it was quite a hassle to get put in another room. I complain to the guest services manger I believe her name was Jennifer and she said she would not charge us for the night we stayed there and she ended up charging us. Also one of the cleaning staff “misplaced” our Bluetooth speaker and have yet to call us back about any info, needless to say I will not recommend to stay there nor will I go there again.

Stopped in to eat, newly renovated, looks great and good food. A little pricey though.

The place looks great. It's finally getting the face-lift it needed. The kids had a great time in the pool. Can't wait to go back.

The hotel is apparently under renovation — the rooms available are rocked right down: beds totally overlain, drain in the bathroom clogged and the room has not been cleaned properly.

I went there for the sporting facilities. They aren't the best but they work and the staff is friendly. Pretty much the only option offering racket sports courts, a gym and a pool in West Prince.

The renovations look very good. We stopped by to try the Burger Love entry, and it did not disappoint. Kudos to the chef.

Rustic. The place will grow on you. Pricing was somewhat higher than expected for the location and the shape of the facility. All of the staff were very pleasant, they would do anything for you. Better signage would be nice for entrances that are not available after hours. They expected you to know already.

I was a lot of fun and is probably the best hotel on the island. The rooms were pretty dated but that does not bother me. I just wish there was a flat screen. For any of you with good hearing you should know that old tv's emit a high pitched noise that is insanely annoying. Rooms were not very clean. We had a fridge in the room that did not work. We found a random winter hat stuffed behind the fridge. The complimentary robe had a huge red stain on it.

Beautiful golf course, and the overall facilities are being renovated. Restaurant has a solid menu, and nice amenities overall.

This place is awesome. Staff are amazing and I totally recommend this place. Didn't gave 5 stars because breakfast was bellow normal for a hotel/resort this size. (News eve weekend though).

Very pretty place with an amazing sunrise view each morning. Very nice staff. Great onsite restaurant. There is no elevator The TV in the room is an old tube screen TV There is no central air conditioning, only window units that are pretty loud. And the rooms feel a little old, they are clean but dated.

Had breakfast at the restaurant in hotel. Nice big breakfast at a bargain price. Sit by the window to enjoy the view. Btw. Beautiful golf course. Hidden gem.

Hotel was decent, our door handle was almost broken and floor was a little creaky. However the amenities were great. Pool had its own water slide and breakfast was nice.

I stayed in the executive suite with my husband for 4 nights. The room was very clean and well-kept. My only complaint about the room was that the bar fridge provided was a little small to be practical. We dined at the restaurant several timea for lunch and dinner, and both the food and service were excellent. The front desk staff were also very friendly and knowledgeable about things to see and do in the area.

Recently sold and under new management. In the process of being renovated during our stay. Had some trouble with the room keys but staff were extremely helpful and friendly with correcting the problem. Location is removed from major attractions and the water park has been permanently shut down so there is not much to do other than the golf course and aqua complex. The sauna was out of order, the hot tub was uncomfortably hot and the pool area was in need of some updating. The pool itself was nice and there was a small water slide that looked nice.

Was extremely disappointed when we got here. It would have been great in the 70's but not worth almost $200 a night! We actually thought about leaving. Very dated but clean. Not even a bar fridge to keep a cold drink. Everything was very old. Breakfast should be included for what you pay and what you get. Will never go back there unless alot changes.

I could not be more pleased with this establishment. The rooms were okay, but the real draw was the dining hall. The staff were amazing and friendly, the live entertainment was talented and approachable, the food was amazing and affordable and the view of the golf course was lovely. This place comes highly recommended!

The Rodd Mill River is an awesome destination for a family. There is lots to do and see. My son really enjoyed the pool and the restaurant.

The rooms are pretty basic and old school, a few updates would go a long way. The service and view is fantastic.

​Comfortable room but leaky airconditioning and spotty Wi-Fi. Hotel interior looks and feels dated. Nice indoor pool with sauna. Beautiful surroundings with lots of green spaces and an inlet of the Gulf of Saint Lawrence. Friendly staff.

We stayed during the first part of March break with the resort's Winter Fun package. We enjoyed our stay very much. Although the hotel is starting to feel it's age (pool area needs a lot of work, railings on the waterslide are rusty and the dry sauna has warped boards and the first tier was loose) and the rooms could use some fresh paint. The pool decking was dirty but when I approached the attendant he apologized and went to take care of the issue. The hotel staff is excellent, very efficient, polite and accommodating. The hotel restaurant has an excellent view of the golf course, the food was good, but the menu was limited in choices but again the staff were awesome. We really enjoyed the games room, although dated there was lots to do and because of the lack of snow one of the resort staff called to let us know prior to our departure and offered a discount on the package. We really enjoyed the treasure hunt and the wagon ride. A great start to our March break.

Stayed during the Winter fun. The pool area is huge and great for the kids, and there is many different things to do outside. The staff was very helpful and the food was pretty good. However, the games room was a joke and the hotel was starting to feel a little dated.
