Beautiful hotel. One of the finest hotels in Downtown Toronto. Amazing service and clean facilities. Would definitely recommend!

I was very much looking forward to another stay at this hotel after my first visit in February 2016.2.5 years later, it was was a disappointing visit. The front desk staff were fairly accommodating but not warm/friendly. It seemed like getting extra water or amenities was bothersome. The rooms are also fairing badly. Parts of the floor are lifting, paint is cracked, and the floors in the hallways are very dirty. Also the elevators in the hotel are SO slow so don’t expect to get downstairs in a hurry. The location is OK if you want to be near the mall but it’s not near all of the food restaurants and bars. Everything is an Uber ride away. Time to start looking for a new go-to in Toronto.

Nice, clean, big room, great shower and a great location for our needs on this trip. Staff very friendly. Quick check in. Can't go wrong with free breakfast. The area on yonge St near Gerrard st is pretty sketchy late at night. Just be smart.

A great location and fabulous hotel. Room was surprisingly large for an older hotel. Parking was in the garage of building next door. Not the most convenient, but not bad for a hotel in downtown Toronto. I'd stay there again.

My room was big and comfortable. The bed was almost as good as mine at home, and way better then the standard hotel bed. Would highly recommend the hotel to anyone needing to stay in the area. Only negative was I found the parking garage confusing. But that is probably more on me not being used to that kind of maze. Would not stop me from staying there again at all. Just a very nice hotel.

Nice touches with free breakfast and welcome gift. Rooms are modern and we'll appointed. The location is convenient for exploring downtown. Overall, it was a lovely stay.

We had a great night at the St James! It was a small hotel but it has massive rooms! I had never had a room so big, not even on my honeymoon! And the breakfast is a delicious fresh wrap from Freshii, which was refreshing.

The hotel was pretty quiet and in a good neighborhood. The people who work there were also very welcoming, and accommodating, gave us a welcome package with water and chips and gave us free parking pass as well. However, once we got to the room, it seemed one of the people who was supposed to clean it just made the bed with old sheets that had stains it in, which was a big turn off for me. When I asked for it to be changed, however, it had been changed by the time we got back to the room which was plus for them taking that initiative. The beds and pillows were comfy and they extended our checkout upon request, which I really appreciated. I would stay there again, I would just implore that you check the sheets as soon as you arrive. The room layout is great too, with the microwave and fridge hidden behind a pull-away visor. There's also a healthy salad bar type of eatery attached to the hotel as well, which is good if you're into that.

Had a fantastic stay here in New Year’s Eve. The staff were very accommodating and listened to any questions or concerns we had. Parking was relatively easy to access and reasonable priced. The location was great for walking in the area and the complimentary breakfast was absolutely delicious and so healthy! We will definitely stay again! Thank you St James!

This is a gem of a property! Stayed here for a quick getaway with some friends and we really loved how quaint, fresh and modern the property is. Our stay included free breakfast at the local Freshii. It’s been updated and modernized. Great bathrooms! Very comfy beds. Great room to come back to after a long day of exploring the city.

Optimal location and price. Highly recommended for family group. Careful attention.

This hotel is was very nice, very fancy rooms and at a decent price. Very clean and super friendly staff, 10/10 would stay again. My boyfriend and I ended staying the night in toronto which was unplanned, and almost stayed at a worse hotel in a bad area. But this one was in a great area with parking too. Guy at the front desk was very helpful after we walked all day and 20 min getting there at midnight. We are from new york but loved this hotel.

It's a nice hotel. Front desk lady was very helpful. Good breakfast but very limited choices from the menu. Breakfast is provided through restaurant situated inside the hotel. Parking is avaible in the adjacent building with decent fees. The heating in my room was not working in the last 2 nights. Informed front desk but no mechanic was available to look at. Just lucky weather was not that cold on our last 2 days there. Hotel is close to all major sightseeing places.

Hotel has a modern feel, you could see they updated it to look new. Room was nice and spacious. Breakfast was tedious and there wasn't much seating. Quiet place to stay. Welcome package was strange as they gave only one water bottle and children's snacks for one to share with two people.

Very good location, one block from one of Toronto's main avenues. Four from the eaton Centre. Two of them from the metro college station. Good room and acceptable breakfast.

Really good value for downtown Toronto. Well located with easy walking access to food, shopping, business etc. Not a large full service hotel, but everything you need.

Room very spacious and clean. Had all the necassary amenities. Complimentary, healthy, freshly made wrap and oatmeal. Very welcoming for a smaller, Choice hotel.

At first glance it is a pretty clean nice looking place. Room was comfortable but phone was broken, heat controls were broken, vents were blowing cold and parking is situated in a pretty inconvenient way especially on your own with a small child. This place isn't bad for a night stay but not if you are looking for the comforts of home.

The hotel is conveniently located in the city centre, a 1-minute walk from Yonge Street. The room was clean and spacious. The service is adequate. There are no food vending machines, but there are still a multitude of restaurants open around the clock. I recommend it.

Good hotel, not a big hotel but that made it better, it has an excellent room location in the heart of Toronto, close to Metro stations so it is possible to be transported to any part of the city. Travel with my family we used the hotel only to rest we found the beds extremely comfortable relatively quiet. I would greatly recommend this hotel and would stay there again. I thought it was excellent.

This place is one of the best places where I stayed when I came to Toronto for the very first time! It looks old and small from outside but the rooms are renovated and they are way more modern than what you might think by looking at the facade of the building. Everything was perfect and new in the room, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom and glass shower door were so clean, nice and scented you can’t imagine! They also provide a complimentary breakfast in Freshii cafe on the ground floor which was healthy and tasty! The service is so friendly and nice as well! The price is reasonable compared to other pricey hotels around Dundas Sq. And in downtown. I found this hotel online and didn’t know that this could be this good! I do recommend this hotel to everyone who comes to Toronto!

Nice small to mid size hotel with all the amenities you would need traveling. Breakfast which was included was fantastic. Only draw back is it is surrounded by very sketchy boarding houses/hostels so expect to see some folk asking for change.

Really friendly staff. Huge comfortable beds. Received a welcome pack with some chips sweets etc at check in. Its close to the subway & I Would definitely come again.

The downtown location was ideal for our needs, the staff were courteous and the room was gorgeous. We learned at checkout that we had received an upgraded room from what we were supposed to have and it was extremely comfortable. We received a gift bag of complimentary snacks and water at check-in. The room was a hit banged up, however. There were large scratches on one wall and there was a hole gouged in one closet door.

Me and my family came for the Blue Jays game and to see the sights. This hotel location is perfect! It's on a quiet street but only a block from our side of the busy city which is close to shops and the subway. The rooms are clean and spacious. The complimentary breakfast is made fresh to order, it's healthy and hearty which is great for long days in Toronto filled with walking ❤️

My friend and I stayed one night at Saint James, and it we had a great night's sleep! The room was spacious, clean, and everything seemed new. The bed was VERY comfortable, and the shower was amazing. The room was was a little pricey ($300), but it was a busy long weekend in the city, so it's expected. The included breakfast at Freshii was also delicious and convenient. Would definitely recommend.

It was a pleasant experience and the service was very good. The room was organized and clean, as was the bathroom. It was one of the better hotels I have visited, although it's location next to a busy street made it somewhat inconvenient as it was quite noisy during later hours.

Nice little hotel, not much when you walk in the front door but the rooms are large and clean. Parking is just beside it, still very convenient for a downtown hotel. Great location and the room was quiet even though we were facing Gerrard.

We came into Toronto for the theatre and made our visit an overnight. We chose this hotel for its location, price and cleanliness. And The Saint James ticks each of those boxes and more! The theatre was just a short walk. The room was spotless! The beds and pillows were amazing! We had a hard time getting out of bed the next morning it was so comfortable. The Keurig coffee maker and Timothy's coffee was such a treat. Very reasonable $$ parking is right next door… shared underground with the condo. 24 hr with in and out privileges. Breakfast is included from the 'attached' Freshii.

Complementary espresso in the lobby. Complimentary breakfast is delicious — you get a wrap and oatmeal and they are both above par. Rooms are extremely clean and modern.

Very nice hotel. Rooms are nicely updated and lots of details that they really payed attention to. The only one complaint is that the heater in the room was super loud. It didn't wake me, but it may wake some. For reference, it was 608 that was just super loud.

I enjoyed my stay at the Saint James Hotel. Everything was clean and in good repair. Parking was available next door at a reasonable rate for downtown Toronto. Included breakfast was a bit strange (basically a breakfast hot-pocket and oatmeal) but it was fine for a short stay.

We by Choices, Hotel booking this hotel, very fast, very convenient. Hotel was easy to find, next door is paid Parking. The hotel lobby is very small, but very clean. Check-in check-quickly. At the front Desk that the staff is very helpful, also very efficient. The room is newly renovated, very clean to. The bed very comfortable. The bathroom is quite large, and well equipped. However, I'm not in the bathroom to find paper towels, the shower next to also did not hang a towel hook.

Great location on a relatively quiet street but within walking distance of many restaurants and shops. Rooms were large, clean, and modern. Bed was very, very comfortable. Breakfast downstairs was included and was your choice of breakfast wrap and choice of oatmeal. Bathrooms were of good size, with modern fixtures and rainforest shower head. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is relatively new but with the amazing downtown location comes the true city hotel experience. Faster, cheaper and better. It's a basic clean city hotel in the best location.

Courteous employees for out of town guests. Nice breakfast made from their restaurant Freshii. Awesome rooms! Rain type towers, wonderful beds and a modern setup. The only downside is Toronto is redoing the roads and as a resul, you must Park in an annex lot that is challenging to go to.

The hotel was pleasant and courteous, the room was very clean, and the room itself was a highlight of my trip to Toronto. I experienced the worst ever — almost check-in. When I arrived after I booked, they said no room available and I couldn't check in. They said to go to the other hotel. Then I learnt they cancelled my booking because I did free-cancellation booking. Highly recommend not go this one.

Amazing hotel! It only has 28 rooms so it's a cozy feel. Located right on Yonge and Gerrard! There is a halfway house next door but if you have some balls you'll realize your in Toronto and they won't bother you. So clean and great prices! Will be back.

My husband booked online the day of our overnight stay and we got an amazing deal on our room with a king sized bed non smoking. All of Toronto is non smoking but… I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the room and the polite hotel staff. Parking is off site but it's free and not too much of an inconvenience. The bed was amazing with a nice bathroom/shower. The hotel is not ultra modern but they've made some modern upgrades. My only concern was a neighboring site. I think there's a halfway house a few doors away or next door hard to say. Overall it was good for a night but I don't think I'd stay for more than two nights, simply because I like the convenience of room service, I'd give it 3 stars for cleanliness and staff. It's a good location for exploring downtown Toronto but not quite the hardcore upscale area that Toronto is known for.
