The scenery, food and housing are very good!

Planning a pandemic wedding here was a nightmare. There was an upcharge and 15% gratuity on nearly everything (the gratuity was also taxed at 13% before being added to your bill and then taxed at 13% again). The wedding side is a disaster and only care about how many extras they can upcharge you for. The champagne that comes with the Whirlwind package is $6 xoxo sparkling wine. The cake I will say was delicious. The hotel side was great except the room was BOILING hot and the windows all have "do not open" labels on them. Unless you wanted to boil alive, you had to open windows. I would say the hotel side was better than the catering side. I'll definitely be booking my delayed reception elsewhere after the nightmare experience I had there. PS, don't fire your catering executives and then forget to tell their clients for 8+ months! Was really great that I had to learn that the reason my emails went unanswered was because you forgot I was a client who had already paid a deposit.

The food was nothing special (some people have referred to it as "Mandarin quality", although I'm sure it's hard to make good food for so many people. Ambiance was beautiful — very picturesque. Servers were not very friendly, and the service was not at all attentive. In their defence, there were way too few servers for a crowd that size. The chef didn't know about the gluten-free options (and if they were, indeed, gluten-free).

Disappointing evening at the Old Mill when after I finished my thanksgiving dinner at the dining room. A gruff guard told me rudely to leave the empty chapel when I was playing the organ in a delightful moment of solitude. Not only was my playing interrupted, but I almost felt as if I was trespassing. There were no signs to restrict the chapel, the doors were open, nor was the organ locked. He could have been more polite to ask me stop playing the organ. I think the Old Mill restaurant and Inn staff need to review their PR skills!

We just went for the Thanksgiving buffet and chose the Old Mill as they advertised lots of vegan options. The whole place smelled like rose scented urinal pucks and we were seated 3 rooms back with no view of anything except the kitchen and only 2 other groups. The food lacked any kind of content labels and some signs were just scrap paper written in black marker. If there were vegan options I wouldn’t know and even possible vegetarian items were placed in front of meat items and were contaminated with drips of gravy and serving spoons used in multiple trays. The table layouts were not well planned for the amount of people and more than once I was pushed out of the way by patrons taking everything from a plate or staff grabbing things in front of me without so much as an excuse me. The food I did get was completely tasteless right down to the sliver of pumpkin pie with the cookie crust I couldn’t get my fork through. The cost for two people was more than enough to take 4 people to Tucker’s or the Mandarin and there just wasn’t enough ambiance to make it worthwhile. Sorry Old Mill, you just didn’t make the cut.

Went to Old Mill for a wedding and never again! The ceremony was in the “Wedding Garden”
Well… have fun finding it because not one person working there was helpful in any way! There were a couple elderly guests including one needing a walker. We were sent out the main entrance and told we had to walk down the hill to get there! There is no way for anyone who is physically challenged to get to the wedding garden, at least 40 stairs Beware when booking because they will tell you the elevator goes there, it doesn’t!
We took the elevator to where we were told, went out the door to find at least 12-14 stairs just to get closer and got locked out! The female duty manager told us to wait there and nobody came. We ended up having to help the elderly down the stairs and still no way to get to the ceremony! This place is a joke! Don’t waste your money and get sucked in with all their promises! Also when you arrive for a wedding they don’t even have a staff member at the front to guide you! The only good service we got all day and night were the lovely ladies serving at the reception!

I know we had an unusual amount of snow yesterday. However there should be no excuse as to why your driveway was not shoveled. Extremely dangerous for seniors. Disappointed with limited amount of food (chicken, desserts). You were aware that we would be late due to weather.

Excellent food, charm and staff. All went so well with the Blues evening.

First time going for high tea and had a great experience! Parking was close by and easily accessible. The tea, snacks and service were excellent. Everything smells great and yummy! They even had current music playing in the background! Great for kids too, as my niece got a high chair and juice.

Table was so tight could not move every time someone needed to get up I had to get up to let them through.
They really need to step up their game.
Would not go back or recommend it.

We were there on Thanksgiving Diner (7.30 pm) The Buffett was delicious, too busy but you can expected that lines in a holidays
I don't put 5 stars because, the service was kind a poor thing, we asked 5 times for a high chair and after almost 20 min they provided it, we asked for a glass of water 3 times at the end nothing, people dropped food on the floor and they took longer to clean it (taking a risk for an accident), for that amount of people the plates finished so fast. The service was not accord to the Hotel prestige, though.
But, we will come back for sure!

We stopped for drink on the patio after a Humber River hike and decided to stay for a meal. The patio is lovely. The service was great. Alan was a very pleasant and attentive waiter. We had a bottle of wine, fantastic burger and the Seoul Food Dog, which was delicious and interesting, all for a pretty reasonable price. We chatted with the grill cook, who took the time come over and speak with us after we complimented the food. We looked at the dining room menu and it is very much old school dining, but there's nothing wrong with that. We will definitely make it a post-hike visit.

We went to a wedding on Friday. The food was ok. They served chicken which was good and some vegetables which were very dry and hard. The desert was nothing special. We didn't reserved a room in advance to stay overnight but decided last minute it would be a good idea to stay there for a night. The price with the wedding discount for a suite was $640 per night! The place and the service were great. If you have the budget to stay over is worth seeing the place.

Attended a wedding in the garden which was a great outdoor space, very elegant. Really liked the cocktail and hors d'oeuvre hour on the terrace. Reception and dinner in the gilden room was pretty good, great decor but not personally a fan of dinner. Beautiful location.

I was at the Old Mill for a wedding, and it was a stunning place for a wedding venue. The whole area is beautifully preserved! The wedding was held inside the old chapel — which felt very classical. The reception was held in one of their banquet halls. The room didn't feel like it needed to be decorated as it was already very stunning. If you enjoy old architecture and historic sites, I would suggest that you go visit the Old Mill!

We had a wedding rehersal and the facility seemed very nice. I will be going back for the wedding so then I'll be able to provide a much better review.

The location is beautiful, both inside and out. We have, as a family, used the various social rooms, and each of them is quite pleasant and charming in their own way. The food they provide is also quite good quality, making for an overall very enjoyable experience each time.

Was there for the Sunday family dinner buffet. Was seated promptly and had great table service. Buffet food was replenished quickly. The dinner plates were a little too hot to handle (fresh from dishwasher).

We attended for a mother's day brunch. It was charming, elegant but also kid friendly. An excellent choice for a special occasion brunch. Food was excellent.

The service was great, we had the lunch buffet and it was quite the treat! At a very reasonable price the food was great and atmosphere was very classy.

I like the old mill. We come down once a year and stay here. We enjoy the atmosphere of the lounge. Great place to have dinner and drinks and listen to live jazz. Rooms are a little pricey, considering this is not in the downtown area (but is a 10 min subway ride to downtown). Will continue to book this hotel when we stay in Toronto.

It's ok. The service is fine. The food is ok. The building and interior really appeal to me. We went here for Christmas dinner buffet, so it was quite crowded, which was to be expected, but manageable. For the price I'd want the food to be somewhat better, but I'd still recommend going.

I went there for high tea. It was amazing. The sandwiches, scones and desserts were very well made. Absolutely delicious!

Attended the Sunday buffet at the Old Mill Toronto. The service was very attentive and pleasant. The food was reasonable and typical of a weekend buffet of the price point. The line up for food can be long at times so watch for seating times.

You know when you go to a buffet, and the food tastes like it was cooked yesterday? Exact opposite at the old Mill, the Sunday brunch is phenomenal. My grand father was turning 90, and I see why he picked brunch there… Its simply great! A unique dinning experience one must induldge in to understand! Worth the money, will be going again!

Over a span of 35 years, we have celebrated many occasions at the Old Mill. All very memorable, except for the latest one — New Year's Day dinner buffet. The ambience was lacking warmth and charm; the food presentation needed improvement. Some sections of the dining room were so dark that one could not see what one was eating. Presumably, the unlit fireplace in our section would have provided additional light and warmth but instead it was a cold, dark gaping hole stacked with booster chairs. Very disappointing experience.

First time staying at the Old Mill, the setting and building were amazing. Proximity to Bloor West Village is great too; lots of great shops and things to do.

Good food and service. Attended for a work party. Drinks were over priced in my mind, but over all a good experience.

Went to their Sunday brunch. You may think its pricey but the selection is amazing, worth every penny. The food and service are great, especially loved their prime rib. Look forward to going back.

Very bad food, cheep selection, overpriced mediocre wine. If you have a little bit of taste buds left do not go there for buffet! Huge disappointment. This place SHOULD NOT BE RATED 4 stars its wrong.

It is definitely worth it when you want to celebrate a wedding here. I'm just confused by the condo that was built where there was parking across the street as it eliminated a lot of good parking spots but, other than that, I highly recommend going there.

Just finished a lunch buffet on July 1st. The foods are great. Fruits are fresh.

If you're looking for romance or quality time with your love one definitely check this place out. Restaurant is cozy and warm as well as their rooms. Only complaint is the everything is overpriced.

If I did not have an eatting disorder then I would be working and able to visit places like this.

I very much like this venue its a beautiful and historic building in Toronto. I was recently there for a work party, drinks were good. The staff was very nice, in particular I talked to one girl from Ukraine who was very sweet:).

Had an event there recently. Food was great and the event was well done. However, they grossly overcharged for alcohol. According to their system, 46 people, roughly 15 were designated drivers drank ~9 drinks each. None of our guests had left drunk and many had only 1-2 glasses of alcohol. They charged our credit card that night before presenting the bill and completely dismissed us after we tried to question it. The bill looked completely forged. There are many other places in Toronto that wouldn't leave us with such a sour taste in our mouth so unfortunately we won't return in the future.

Amazing jazz. But terribly overpriced food dropped 45$ on what should've been 20. Walked out feeling sick.

It's amazing that the Old Mill Toronto has been around for 100 years, yet this historical landmark is still considered one of Toronto's hidden gem. Neatly tucked away in the west end of the city, I enjoyed my stay here both for a wedding and an over-nighter. The Old Mill combines both traditional and modern that creates a unique one-of-a-kind environment; something definitely worth visiting when you come to Toronto.
