Not the best area; but in the hotel everything is quite ok. One is very anxious and the price/performance ratio is good.

Terrible. It’s not Even worth 1 star. Area not good. Reception staff was rude when we arrived. The reception was dirty and smelly. The room was very dirty looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for a long time. Stains on the bedsheets dust and dirt on the floors and surfaces. Shower was filthy. We ending up booking else were as it was too bad to stay for the weekend. Would never go back to this hotel.

I enjoyed my stay here. The room was clean and comfortable. Perfect for an overnight. Staff was friendly and accommodating. I had zero issues with the neighborhood. I like that it is diverse and close to all the downtown fantasticness of Toronto. I did not think it was super sketchy as others have stated, probably because I lived in NYC for years. The only reason I put 4 stars instead of 5 is that I did not find any parking at the inn. I parked down the street (about 3-4 blocks) in a reasonably priced supervised lot for $20 for 24-hours and walked to the inn. I would stay here again.

The room is clean, comfortable, loved the stay. The location is excellent. There is a bus stop infront of the entrance. There is car parking. Mr. Singh is very respectful, professional, and helpful. I would book again if I have to visit Toronto.

This is a great little place to stay. A streetcar stop is literally right outside the front door. The neighborhood is okay — I never felt unsafe, but others might find it a little sketchy. Whenever I'm back in Toronto travelling on my own dime, I'll definitely stay here again!

So bad that we stayed 5 minutes, left and went to the Eaton Chelsea which is much more beautiful and clean for only 60 more dollars. Complete waste of 140 dollars. Rooms smell like febreeze overload, and the bed had hair on sheets. Dirty camoflogue hallway floors.

If you are with your right mind, then avoid this place by any means! Reasons: 1. Located at the center of Toronto’s broken neighborhood. 2.24/7 scary and annoying noise from the countless homeless folks just outside of the rooms. 3. Vehicle noise just outside of the rooms. 4. Unbelievably tiny rooms, almost impossible to use the restroom and even wash your face! 5. No fridge, old and unclean windows, unhealthy air condition due to bad AC. 6. No parking at all, and the closest public parking is about half a mile away if you are lucky. And if you are from the state, then things even get worse as your vehicle is the target of local homeless thieves. (~ $20 for overnight parking) 7. The hotel’s strict refund policy alone tells you about them, I had to get a new hotel for a whole new expense! Just stay away! Could be a cheap alternative if you are a single dude staying for few hours every night.

The hotel didnt have a fridge and waa tiny and didnt come with anything for the price. The location was under a 10 min walk to the concert venue we were going to, however within a half an hour of being there we witnessed a lady on a bike get hit by a bus, a mugging and tons of homeless people smoking meth. Is definitely a scary part of Toronto to visit and I wouldn't recommend it for safety reasons.

The Windows do not open stuffy. The mattress is short. TV 1 channel and that without sound. In the morning breakfast is a cereal milk coffee banana and cupcake, HERE and the WHOLE range.

Small and okay… Nothing great Not a great neighborhood but easy on the pocket… Good budget option… No bed bugs or anyrhing. But the place is quite small and has a vintage building so no elevator. Also only one person handling the entire place so if you have luggage then its difficult to take it to your room if you are not on the ground floor.

Look, the price was reasonable when we were stuck for a night, but the rooms were uncomfortable. We could hear someone in the lobby facetiming all night. There was a framed piece of orange paper hiding a hole in the wall. Our view was a pile of tires outside the window. (See photo! ) The toilet is in a tiny alcove, so if you're any wider than the seat, good luck. Continental breakfast the next morning were underripe bananas, stale chocolate chip muffins and watered down orange juice from frozen concentrate. You could get an airbnb for less and way nicer.

Place very cosy and nice, has everything you need to relax quietly.

Good price for a short stay, room was decent size. Walls are a little thin but it didn’t seem to bother us. Room had a TV and the bed was comfy. Would recommend this place if you’re going to an event or concert and need a place to sleep. We didn’t spend much time actually in the hotel. Check in process was smooth and parking was close to the hotel.

Very small room you can hardly get around. It's the same as for the shower room… breakfast to review… too light little choice.

Location is good as it is near the eatons centre but it is One of the worst hotels I have stayed at. Parking was unclear, had to park on the side of the road and ask the front desk to direct us to parking which happened to be an area with a no parking sign. Room was very hot when we entered. Washroom had a strong urine smell like they didn’t clean the toilets properly. Had to close the washroom door or the smell would waft over to the bed area. Tv had only 1 working channel. Walls are paper thin, at 3 am I could here doors slamming, chairs being pulled across the room, front desk clerk talking to guests, even someone turning on and off a light switch. The only decent thing there was their breakfast as they had a waffle maker. Other than that definitely not returning.

The room is neat and clean. It's a little on the small side but we weren't expecting too much for the price (which was excellent). There us a transit stop right outside which is extremely convenient for navigating the city!

The room and the cleanliness were OK. The person who attended us on arrival was quite edged. There is No elevator and the paid parking is on the street.

The reception smells awful, breakfast is not good and very, very basic. Walls are thin but I have to say I've never seen a camo patterned carpet so points for interesting decor and it's low price if all you're looking for is a bed.

They gave my room away. After we had booked, paid and registered at the front desk early in the afternoon. I parked my car on the sidewalk next to the building as directed and notified the man at the desk that my friend and I would be back late. We even called after our dinner to remind that that we would be bringing our bags in late since we originally arrived too early to drop them off in our room, we were told it would be fine. When we arrived after midnight the swipe card for our room (given to us upon our initial arrival) didn't work and other people were given our room. It was a very, very frustrating situation. They tried to give us a musty basement room with low ceilings (even for me and I'm 5'1") and exposed pipes. In the end they talked a single person out of there room with two beds so that we could have it. Not sure how pleased that man was when he saw what he ended up with. It was an honest mistake but it really put a huge damper on that part of my trip.

Decent location but the hotel rooms are unfurnished (had a small plastic table), the bathrooms are the size of an outhouse, and our room had an awful smell that took awhile to get used to. The outside of the hotel is modern looking and deceiving, as the inside of the hotel looks terribly outdated, with army camo carpets and walls that look like they haven't been painted in an eternity. What's more, it was 30+ degrees for the 4 days we stayed, and the cleaning staff kept coming into our room every morning to shut off the AC, which made it incredibly hot and uncomfortable when we got back to our room.

This is a small hotel but is really comfortable and is 40 minutes far from CN tower. I booked a single room with twin beds and the price was almost the same as a room with one bed. Continental breakfast included! You can walk to the downtown and meet nice people and see the beauty of Toronto.

To enjoy the city and get only to sleep this well, has everything basic.

The receptionist tried to charge me twice after the payment had already been processed by the bank, he kept hassling me and calling me to my room so that I would go downstairs to do it. Upon showing him that the payment had already been posted in my account he continued to insist that I made the payment again and if there was a problem he would “talk to the manager so that I could get a refund”. He very conviniently said it was not “his problem” if I was charged twice because he “just worked there”, so I decided to grab my bags and leave. Also the showers are a joke, there is no way a regular sized adult can take a comfortable shower. To summarize my experience: terrible customer service (staff will try and rip you off if you allow them to do so), small rooms, over priced for what you are getting in return and dirty (found much better places on Airbnb at better prices).

Very cheap Inn. Booked it last second due to the fact that the train got delayed. The price does speak for itself however. Very very small rooms with very narrow hallways. You can hear everything at night as well and it's even worse around 7am. Only go here if you're in a last minute rut and need a place to stay.

The shower could use a good clean desided to skip going for one. For the price not bad for just a night to sleep. Front desk person was nice and asked how I was doing.

Service was nice but rooms need better sound insulation. We could hear people in the lobby from our room.

Living in a small room with two comfy beds, breakfast is small but for ftee.

This place has really gone downhill. We were happy in the past; however, this time, we were stuck in a tiny room with no window and a TV that didn't work. The shower had mold in it and the room smelled bad. After speaking to front desk, we were moved to another room that also had mold in the shower, someone's beard trimmings all over the sink (which was clogged) and barely enough room to turn around. The manager ignored my email and refused to speak to me about the issues. I guess they'd rather lose thousands of dollars in future business than try to address the issues now. We won't be back.

I have idea why anyone would give this place any rating. My 2 night stay cost over $400.00 cdn. My room was NEVER cleaned. The staff were all lazy and rude, the breakfast SUCKED big time. I had mold in the shower and on the shower curtain, not to mention the smell. I've attached some pictures, too bad the pic's do not have 'smell-a-vision'. The toilet was dirty, TV remote didn't work and the TV equipment was hanging off the wall, the wallpaper was painted over and torn, again see pictures. I've only posted 7 pictures out of many but you will get the idea of the horror story. Pay attention to the clearance between the bed and wall, no joking about a foot! I personally feel the place should be closed. Even after I reported my issues to the front desk NOTHING was done. I was told I could make calls in Canada and the US free, that was great, unfortunately there was no damn phone in the room. The place was dark and dingy with a military carpet in the hallways! NEVER will I stay at this place again! I had to give it one star because it does not allow the post unless I select at least one. My rating is — 10 on 10. (That's minus 10 on 10). The worst place I have ever stayed at and the pictures to the post will testify that every word I wrote is true.

It was the cheapest option. You get internet and a tv. But rooms were a little dirty, mold on shower curtains and area where the hotel was had a lot of shady people walking the streets. Once it gets dark use uber, don't walk there.

The room was fine I give it a 6/10 perfect for the single night I stayed, but they over charged my card for my stay by never giving me my deposit back. I contacted them 4 or 5 times by both phone and email over the course of a week and they told me to come pick up the cash, which is 4 hours of travel for me, forcing me to file a claim with my bank. The employee at the desk was also very unhelpful, just kept directing me to a manager that was dodging helping me get my money back. Will never return.

The staff at this hotel are extremely rude. The hotel it's self is dirty and not well maintained. I think their are bed bugs present. The worst hotel I've ever stayed at. I do not recommended it.

Quiet good location and excellent price.

No toothbrush, no toothpaste, no mini fridge, dirty bed with hair on it, bad smell in the room, big noise all over the night. Free breakfast, but… if it is still called breakfast. Anyway, high price, poor quality. Will not stay there again.

Hotel to spend one night or two as maximum. Near the central square but just the few blocks that separate it from there are the most horrendous in Toronto. Small rooms, just right.

The people were VERY nice and as accomadating as can be however the rooms were very basic. There was no fridge, microwave or iron. The receptionist area had an iron and microwave for the whole building but VERY inconvenient. The location and parking was bad too. There were only like 6 parking spots which is on a first come, first serve basis. They also charge per day. The area was riddled with poverty, drug addicts, homeless, disheveled people. The convenience store guy told me this is no place for a vacation. I've been told the area is sketchy and it looked like the Walking Dead. Why 3 stars? It's was clean inside, gets the job done once you get back over the iron/fridge/microwave situation and the front desk was helpful but I would NEVER go back.

The Hotel is good, breakfast is just coffee and waffles and was good. We were lucky to get 1 of the 3 parking spots. The rooms are small and good enough to sleep in, bathrooms could be cleaned a little better (we used shower sandles). Overall good place to sleep while your doing stuff in down town toronto.

My girlfriend and I loved the stay! Rooms are cute and cozy. Breakfast is simple and tasty. We would definitely stay here again.

Good price, good staff, clean room. Twin bed is a little short if over 183cm/6ft. Could use better lighting but no real complaints! (Warning only two parking spots, book them early.

Abolutely the worst place ever. Please do not go ５/5. This place is dirty has no toothpaste or soap the blinds dont cover the windows. The room was intended for two people and we cant fit on the bed. Pick anything else the staff is rude and wouldnt give me a refund and I asked Before I entered this ghetto dump but he threatened to charge my creditcard at 4am.

The hotel itself is smelly. The breakfast was rotten. The room was OK. The location is OK, but in one direction there is relative safety, and in the other direction, I would say it is a really dangerous part of town at night, for some one not from the area.

Nice clean modern rooms. The area is aweful but I enjoyed the hotel.

We were put up in a room which had a very noisy exhaust fan just outside the door. This fan use to get switched on every couple of minutes and we could not get any sleep for two nights. The staff was rude, very unfriendly and despite repeated complaints did nothing about our problem. These guys do not understand the meaning of sleep disruption. When we asked for a refund for 1 night because we hardly had any sleep, we did not get any reply to our emal. If you do not want to ruin your holiday, do not stay here!

It's a cozy little hotel that's a short walk away from Dundas Square. There's a streetcar stop right outside so it's easy to get to from everywhere, it's clean inside, and there's free Wi-Fi. I've stayed here twice for a week each time and both times were good.

COMPLETELY AGREE with Christina Elias. Avoid at all costs. Very small and limited room and bathroom. Looked clean at first, but towels and bed had people's hair on it. Filthy. One hour later after being completely disgusted, I asked for a refund to leave. The manager denied his identity and refused a refund told us to to come back another day and talk to the hotel owner. Threatened to call the police if I ask for refund again and went home because his shift was over — and a part timer came in instead. They kept secretively talking in their mother tongue, (they didn't realize I am fluent in their language). Left immediately and checked in to a different hotel.

I enjoyed my stay very much. The room was clean, compact and comfortable and affordable and the staff were very accommodating. I would stay again :).

Absolutely horrible! They gave us a lesser quality room than we paid for and refused to compensate us, calling us dishonest. They signed away our hotel agreement to someone who was obviously willing to pay more for our room. Avoid this place at all costs, they'll try to scam you.

It was a very clean and cheap hotel! Every things in the rooms were brand new and so clean. We did not expect to have such a great and clean room compare with the cheap price that we paid! The rooms were very clean, the beds and duvets and bed covers, etc were very new and clean. The people at front desk were very nice and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay there and we were happy that we stayed there. There was a street car station in front of the hotel which makes our transportation easy! And it was really cheap.
