So far so good. Very nice and clean and quiet.

Nice hotel. Lots of great places within walking distance.

Our suite was infested with ants! Absolutely disgusting. I dropped a piece of lettuce on the floor and they immediately swarmed it—the only way I could get a good picture of the ants as they blend in with the carpet! They moved us to another room which was filthy (even an old balloon under the chair in the suites main area! ).

Convenient location-love the access to everything. Hotel staff very gracious!

Went with relatives for a Raptors game. Location is great, room was clean and bed was comfortable. Not sure to understand all those negative comments.

Worst downtown hotel experience I’ve ever had. I’ve lived here for 26+ years and never have I received such terrible treatment and service. Honestly save your money because this hotel has ZERO to offer. Pre and post Covid.

I found this hotel to be nice clean and well presented and the bell staff and hospitalise staff where fantastic, The room was clean, comfortable and spacious.
Negative:
The gentleman at the check in desk who I interacted with was less then helpful and yes my problem is with being over charged. When I checked in for a 2 night stay on a reservation that had been pre-paid I was told that the holding amount was $415 when I question this I was advised that was the amount that I need to pay to be able to check in. The holding fee for the room at this time was $50 per night 50 X 2 is not $415.
When I had checked out and checked my credit card I found that I had been changed an additional $435, I went to the reception and again spoke to the same gentleman who had checked my in and out and was brushed aside with my question even though I was able to show him that the funds had been taken until my husband took over the conversation and and the gentleman decided to check his records to which he then deiced to resolve the issue advising me that it was take 2 business days for the funds to be returned to my account. Due to me being charged a total of $850 incorrectly I was not able to carry out any of the activates that I had lined up to do in Toronto and nor am I able to pay for my next accommodations holding fee.

The staff is wonderful. The food is to die fir.

It was a great place to stay, friendly people wanting to help.

My husband is in a wheelchair so we are in a wheelchair accessible room which is great for him to have more space next to the bed and the bathroom has plenty of space. The shower is a roll in and there is a shower bench attached to the wall that folds out. The doors are wide so you can fit the wheelchair through. So why is my rating low? Start with the bathroom — there was no shower curtain! There is no place close for you to put your towel. The sink had no space to put your toiletries. The rest of the room — the main door stuck and was heavy for someone in a wheelchair to push/pull open. There is no ice bucket and no mini refrigerator.

Very flexible staff which were very accommodating. Hallways are very tired but rooms itself are nice. I was woken 3 times during the night by people entering and exiting their rooms along the corridor as the doors are not noise-proof and make quite a bang. The view from our window was great though. Location is very central and was great to walk around the city.

Nice hotel and very polite staff. Booked online and saved a lot of money compared to booking at the desk. Rooms on the site did not match the availability at the desk tho. But staff were more then willing to compromise without added charges or time. I will definitely consider this place next time I come to town for an even or weekend.

This hotel is one of the worse Hyatt that I have ever been. The rooms are smelly and outdated. It depends on which side your room will be, it can be very noisy. I stayed at room 1415 it the room is too big, super old and smelly. Room 1257 is smelly and old but not noisy. I have ordered breakfast and it was below average. It was not worth it. The security guy (on August 18, 2018 around 12:15am) was very helpful assisting me when my purse got lost in the hotel. Overall, I don't recommend the hotel. It is too pricey for no reason.

I'm actually having a decent stay, the staff has been wonderful. The room service has been excellent. Here are my complaints
— the rooms are difficult to be organized in. The furniture chosen and lack of storage is frustrating and hardly enough for 1 person. The bathroom doors get stuck easily. And on the 9th floor you can't walk down the hallway.
Due to the contractors leaving all their tarps and tools and vacuums spread out in the middle of the hallway down an entire wing. I'm disappointed this floor was rented out and that the people hired aren't more mindful of guests. I would have to weigh out my options before booking here again.

Place is nice, rooms are modern, I like this place mostly cause of the rooftop pool and bar in the summer! Also the breakfast buffet was very good too.

Clean and well appointed room that even had a splash of color! Arrived in Toronto late and missed my connection — had to find a last minute room. HR was one of the closest to union station, it was in a fun part of town, and was very reasonable. Went right to sleep in the comfortable bed with the big fluffy pillows. Next morning, after a shower, had a cup of decent coffee from the in-room brewer. Liked the towels. Not the big fluffy type that stays fluffy because they don't absorb water, these were soft, but still absorbent. Headed down to the front desk, I noticed that the hall carpet was degraded in a few places. My room was delightful, but based solely on a few bits of carpet, I'm guessing some other things may need updating. Check out was a breeze and I walked to Union Station in about 10 minutes.

Great Pool. Rooms are modern, comfortable. Service at Check in was great. Kevin McFadden was courteous and helpful. The room was to be feather free. Make sure you check they made an error but housekeeping was quick to change it up. Great location close to the Theatres and Restaurant Row. Perfect for a weekend getaway.

Nice staff. Nice location. Noticed some of the staff are being pushy to promote certain attractions like the double decker bus and another was pushing us to get out quickly during our breakfast at the king st. Social. The rooms could be cleaner for my taste but I do pay attention to a lot of detail, which I am sure the cleaning staff don't have the time to attend to on a regular basis. Still nevertheless one of the best hotels…

We got a room with two double beds. The beds were comfy and the room had most of the standard features. It was on the smaller side though, not much extra space, and no mini fridge. We didn't use any amenities. The location was great for what we needed.

Stayed here on Saturday evening with my family. Kevin McFadden had taken care of us in advance with a couple things needed in our room. He was off on Saturday but had prepared a letter for us to ensure we did receive the two cots we had asked for. Upon our arrival they were not in the room but Robert Laciak helped make sure we did get them. Great Service from Kevin & Robert! Thank you again!

My fiancee and I attended a professional event this past weekend, held in their Regency room. During the three days we attended the event we were treated with the upmost respect, provided free beverages and hot breakfast. The staff were friendly, polite and eager to assist the attendees. The place was very clean and the cost to stay the night was pretty fair given its central location. Highly recommended.

Great hotel, great breakfast and really friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are good size and quality. Location is brilliant. Walking distance to CN Tower and all good restaurants bars and clubs etc on king Street. Definitely stay again.

Excellent hotel. Comfortable and quiet rooms. Very good quality Wi-Fi. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant could offer more choice to the menu. The breakfast buffet is very tasty. The neighborhood is not the prettiest in Toronto but it is rather quiet.

I live local, however as I was attending a concert downtown I decided to stay at the Hyatt Regency in Toronto for a few days. The service was great, the concierge was friendly and welcoming. The room service staff were patient and attentive. After my staff I received a follow-up email from the Manager inquiring about my stay; excellent customer service and I would definitely stay at the Hyatt Regency Toronto again.

The staff did a great job to ensure we had an excellent conference. Front desk was helpful in suggesting places to eat around the hotel. Hotel does need some minor maintenance fixes here and there.

Rooms were smaller than expected but nice overall, price of rooms is inflated based on location. Amenities provided do not support the prices. We did experience a problem when trying to locate something that was lost. A blouse was accidentally left hung up in the closet in our room. Upon realizing (a day later) we contacted the Lost and Found services of the hotel with the response that there was nothing they could do. This concerns me because either the maids are not doing a proper job cleaning the rooms and simply did not clean the closet to notice, or they are perhaps keeping what they find in the rooms without reporting it. Disappointed and quite saddened.

Rooms are very nice and big great view however our room was not clean. Their was hair, dust, and splat marks in the bathroom. Hair and splat marks in the fridge, dried coffee split by the tv, carpets were clearly vacuumed, dust and hand marks on windows, mirrors and bed frames, extra… it is clear that Wally the housekeeper on our card doesn't do there job properly. I used to be a housekeeper I know its not easy but come on I cleaned half of it off with a tissue… when I brought this to front desk's attention Regine was great she apologized and gave us free breakfast vultures for the restaurant downstairs in the hotel! Regine is a rock star at costumer service! the breakfast was very top notch the young man offered to make us fresh eggs and was well mannered. We truly believe that the dirty room is something we can look past and will be returning as we enjoyed the trip.

One of my favorite stays of all time. I travel and stay in hotels up to 8-10 months a year, and the Hyatt worldwide is always top of my list. The Hyatt Regency Toronto contacted me before during and after to ensure a perfect experience during my nine day "relaxation" vacation. I was upgraded to a beautiful suite overlooking the CN tower, the service was personable and always smiling and so very helpful, from housekeeping, breakfast, dining, front desk, management… Everyone was awesome! It was a cold January, however, I was tremendously relaxed and warm on the 16th floor. This was truly one of my favorite experiences! Special thank you to all the Hyatt Regency team in Toronto. Truly Canadian!

In the heart of the entertainment district it was a lovely place to stay. The room was clean and tidy. Noise from outside didn't intrude at all. Staff where friendly and helpful. There are many choices of dining a short walk away, and public transit is available as well. If needed I would stay here again.

Really great staff, enjoyed our stay, and the room was beautiful. The breakfast was actually my favorite part, oh my! the amount of bacon! So we happily ordered another breakfast! (It was french toast, and it was also amazing~) Just an all around relaxed place to stay.

Had a couple nights at the hotel. Amazing location near everything you could possibly want in a 15 min walking radius. Parking was very convenient as they have a parking service. We did not encounter any problems with cleanliness or service. The rooms were quite comfortable and very spacious. We also had a very last minute booking and faced no problem whatsoever!

The Janitor Sherif was insulting, dishonest. He didn't want to help me. Pfff I did not come home…

Great experience. Hotel staff was very kind. Room was clean, comfy bed and adequate space. Had an extended stay and was very pleased. Do not hesitate to stay here. Location is great. Subway is about a 6 minute walk away.

Great room. Receptionist I believe her name was regina, very nice and professional. Room had a nice view, no minibar? Self parking overnight is 32$ extra. Starbucks right beside the lobby.

Came here on an business trip. Very nice and clean. Great customer service! In the center of several restaurants and stores. Seems recently remodeled. Con: bed was old and had rips in the side. No shuttle to airport but had a car or taxi available.

NOTHING bad to say here. My friends and I stayed for a night and it was a great time. The room we got was huuuge. Beautiful, luxurious rooms. The bed was a king and a comfy one at that! The employees were extremely nice and seem like they love their jobs and the people they work with. I would recommend this place without hesitation!

I attended the Hyatt for a conference on marketing and AI. I am local to Toronto so I didn't need a room. However, I can say that the staff and service were excellent. In addition, I can say that the management was engaged, down to earth and friendly. I even liked to the food (especially the coconut cream pie). Combine this with easy access to a Starbucks downstairs we had a winning combination.

I didn't really stay here, so I can't vouch for the rooms, but I went for a two day data marketing conference. Board rooms are spacious, (there are about 3, one that can divide). Staff are friendly, and the place is clean! Since this is in the heart of downtown, it is relatively easy to access everything. Would definitely recommend.

A clean, modern lobby with lots of light. The bar is in the corner and is a really pleasant atmosphere to wait in. Service is friendly and quick for drinks. Being in the downtown and in the entertainment district, the bar at least is a quieter starting point for a night out.

Roof top pool was open late this year for the nice weather. That was so awesome as we expected it to be closed. The room service food & the drinks at the bar were great too.

Professional staff that made everything easy. Wonderful clean room that looked great and had a nice comfy bed. Nothing to complain about. If I go back to Toronto I'd stay there again.

The Regency has made updates but there can still be improvements. The elevators are extremely slow. Only 4 total and at times it appeared only 2 were available for guests. The waiting area was quite cramp for the elevators. The staff was friendly but understaffed at the front desk. The bar area is nice but could use a larger selection of spirits. I also tried the restaurant downstairs and again, extremely slow service. I cancelled my dessert order. On a positive note once I requested the cancellation it was ready and offered to me at no charge. On a positive note, the lobby is up to date. Free Wi-Fi to guests. An average experience.

Was in the King and Regency ball room along with Studio G. Large and spacious. The hvac was either too hot or cold but that's easily remedied. The catering was nice as attentive. Coffee was quite yummy too.

Forgot an item in a room. They were very helpful when I was trying to retrieve the item. Very friendly and quick to respond. I was able to pick up the item the same day without any hassles.

Hyatt is not worth the money! Parking was unorganized and expensive, $30 per car added to your bill, and the workers at underground try and charge you another $15 on top of that. Our room was small. Wait for elevators was 30 mins +, wait for a luggage cart was 45 minutes! It was chaotic at check out time … all the staff was rude even yelled about drinking on pool deck when bachelorette beside us was clearly also drinking and never spoke to them. Pool was beautiful but that experience ruined it… Only staff who was nice was one exceptional parking/ luggage attendant who went out of his way to be polite and courteous) We lost a room key and we're refused entry to our own room at midnight (a very pregnant woman and myself) and had to make an entire bachelorette party leave their evening to come back to the hotel to let us in … needless to say nobody was impressed. Our bathroom was filthy… literally dust and hair in every crook and cranny… for 650 a night I would expect much much better!

I was there for a seminar, the front desk people were very friendly in helping me find the venue. And then the servers were good about making sure everyone had what they needed in terms of coffee or tea for the morning. Overall a good experience, and I would stay in one of the rooms, if I needed to stay in downtown Toronto.

The concierge was very courteous. I had dinner there after my meeting last week and the food was fabulous. The pool water was clean and warm too. This hotel has easy (walking access) to downtown sights. Keep up the good work.

Attended an AWS Security Roadshow in June 2017 at the King I conference centre. The venue was spacious and appropriately lit; the staff were polite. There was an incident where speaker attempted to adjust the podium microphone and it seemingly dislodged from the stand and generated copious amounts of feedback from the speaker monitors. Otherwise, the electronics rarely showed signs of issue: slide projection was large and properly lit and speaker output volume was generous even at the back of the room. Overall great venue and conference.

The staff was very pleasant. One of the front desk workers impressed me when he took the initiative to reassign my room because I would have had to share the floor with people there for prom. After arriving and checking in after 11 pm, I was so happy to stay on a quiet floor. Customer service at this hotel is excellent. My bed linens were clean and soft. The shower had excellent pressure. There were only minor flaws that I noted which made my stay less than luxurious. I noticed smudges on the white curtains, but disregarded it. The cable TV signal would be lost after watching for more than 30 minutes (a "lost signal error" would appear and I had to turn it off and on to resume watching). The furnishings could use some updates. I was disappointed to find out that there were no plugs next to my bed. The hotel is located steps away from so many different restaurant types. There's a shopper's mart a block away. It needs some fine tuning to be on par with the luxury I’ve experienced in other hotels. My review might sound nitpicky but when you pay a certain price, you have you have some expectations.

Passed by since we were in the area. Did not stay. But the staff was very welcoming even though we were not staying the night. Would like to see how they treat real guests.

Was at the hotel for a conference and didn't have much interaction with hotel staff or service. The décor, business spaces, and ambience were all very nice though. Had a buffet lunch served by the hotel that was attempting to be fancy but was poorly executed. I could taste the grill on the garlic bread, the lamb was average, and the gnocchi appeared to be baked and didn't have a great texture.

Love the hotel. Right in the heart of the city. Great staff and amazing city views. Rooms are comfortable but need to be upgraded to support people's technology needs.

We stayed here for our anniversary. The staff was extremely nice and helpful, and the room was lovely. It's in a great location, easy walking distance to everything downtown Toronto has to offer.

Rooms are nicely styled, but quite small. Great for 1-night destination. The pool is outdoor on the roof, so it is only open seasonally. They have a 10pm no noise policy for many of their floors, which is both a positive and negative, depending on your perspective. Security is quite over the top, but understandable, seeing as it is in the entertainment district, access control is essential to maintain a reasonable ambiance. Overall, I was satisfied with our overnight visit and our choice to stay here.

It was a great stay and we were very close to alot of attractions. I will definitely be staying here again. Also the bar is very nice with a great assortment of wine.

The service was great and it definitely met my expectations. The room was very clean and the location is super convenient! I also requested toothpaste, a toothbrush, and mouthwash and they sent it to me within 2 minutes. I'm very happy with my stay. Will definitely stay there again if I'm in Toronto.

Loved this hotel. The room was great, we had a city view room. Our room was very modern, awesome flat screen TV, very sleek bathroom. The staff was professional and warm. Great location as well. Overall, this place was awesome.

Wonderful meeting and event rooms. Attending a Landmark Forum event recently and was very impressed with the professionalism of the employees who work at the Hyatt Regency in Toronto.

Waited in the lobby for a friend to come down. Lobby is horribly designed and not comfortable. Went and had a drink at the bar. Small and awkward in design. Not comfortable.

I love this hotel. Everyone is so friendly. They truly make me feel like this is my home away from. It's close to many tourists attractions, places to eat, and more importantly — my office. I've attempted to stay at other hotels and won't make that mistake again.

This hotel was my big mystery winner on Priceline, and it was a great find! The location is great and the rooms are nice enough. I would happily stay there again for the same price.

Terrible hotel, mostly due to the front desk. Don't know the guys name. Middle age white guy. I've stayed there twice and both times have deal with him. First time he tried to tell me I couldn't bring 12 beers to my room, told me I could bring 6 and leave the other 6 with the front desk and could have them when I leave. If I hadn't of needed to stay there I would have walked out for that. They gave me parking tickets both times ive stayed despite paying for parking. Didn't pay them, told the manager off. My most recent stay he informed me I could have no guests in my room past 10 and check out was 11 when it's posted on there website as 12. His arrogance is absolutely disgusting. Everyone else there was fine. I won't be staying there again, that douche bag ruins the experience at an otherwise ok hotel.

Service was Non Existent. It took over 9 hours to receive toiletries after calling down twice. Room had a thick smokey smell, which eventually absorbed into all our belongings. Even though we filled out our breakfast card at 4pm well before the midnight deadline, we received no breakfast the next morning and upon leaving realized no one ever came to pick up the card. (Even though staff had to come by to drop of toiletries). Complete and utter dissapointment. Does not live up to the brand name. When raising complaints with the front desk there was no sincerity or attempt to address them by the robotic front desk staff.

I just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt in Toronto. Jay Hong the manger, made our experience an awesome one. It was our 20 year anniversary and we were welcomed like we were family. The hotel is clean, organized and truly awesome. It is in the middle of everything so it is an easy walk to the fun places on Kings. I highly recommend!

Painfully slow Internet! Otherwise great stay. But seriously, internet here is a joke.

Good location but overpriced. Smells musty — like there were smokers here just last week. The whole place feels like it just needs a week or two of airing out. Sub par service, and all extras charged at extortionate rates. It's ok, I just wish I could open a window every time I stay here.

Overall good hotel. Compared to other hotels in the area it's rates are fair. The hyatt regency seem to be very consistant I stayed at the Monreal and had similar great stay. The rooftop pool in Toronto is outdoor, which I imagine is beautiful but only open during the summer so I didn't get to try it.

Very comfortable, modern, great location, lots of amenities. BUT, $14.95/night for basic internet? Really? In today's day and age, this is absolutely unacceptable. Talk about gouging your guests.

What a lovely hotel! My husband and I stayed here this past weekend as we had an event just down the street and another friend was staying at the same hotel. I booked online and requested an upgrade (for only $19, sure! ) which I received upon check-in. The room was a suite and a great deal! While the walls might have been a tad thin, I'm hearing impared so I didn't notice it, but my husband said he realized he could hear some children in the next room in the morning. Regardless — the room was well priced, clean and spacious, staff were friendly and the hotel itself is in a very convenient area with on-site parking. We would definitely come back.

I enjoyed the suite that I stayed in while on site. Beautiful views of downtown. Fortunately, they opened the pool a couple of days into my stay. The lobby is sleek, and the neighborhood is lively. The highlight of the stay was the exceptional service from Barbie in the bar in the lobby. She was accommodating, personable and entertaining.
