We have been going every year for the last 5 years. Golf course is fantastic and the views are spectacular. The cottages are a bit dated but if you are a golfer it is a fantastic place for a getaway!

Incredible! The videos and pictures we saw online were nothing like the truly beautiful resort and setting-don’t be fooled by the dated and substandard videos we saw-it’s amazing! Great restaurant, super friendly staff and did I mention it’s gorgeous?! Can’t wait to go back again!

I can't speak to the golf course itself, but the hotel is terrible. It seems as though it hasn't been updated in at least 30 years with its outdated decor and less than ideal upkeep/maintenance. None of this was made any better by the fact that the room I stayed in was late getting cleaned, delaying my check-in, and had an overwhelming smell of industrial disinfectant for the entire stay. Add to that the leaky toilet bowl, mold in the bathroom, sub-par continental breakfast and unjustifiably high price per night and I would strongly recommend against staying here. If you're there for the golf pay your green fees but stay elsewhere.

Nancy Lowe — I made reservation, had confirmation number (on my e-mail) when I arrived for two queen size beds. My sister and I and our Husbands came to visit from Dartmouth Nova Scotia for a family reunion. When I arrived, I was told there was no reservation. I got my confirmation e-mail out. The Lady at the front desk. I'm sorry I only have one king size bed left. (I was told take it or leave it) My confirmation price was $ 219.00 with 2 queen size beds. I was told one king size for 4 people at the price of $219.00 plus taxes (take it or leave it). I left and drove 4 hours back home. So disappointing (not reliable)

Stayed Aug 21st, in a golf tournament Aug 22nd at 9 am… extremely disappointed… there was a special for the golfers… 1… $69 + tx per person includes a practice round (come to find out that was the incorrect information but we were given 9 holes free, thank you) … you could stay 2 to a room in the resort or get a double cottage for the 4 for the same price… we chose the cottage… no air conditioner or working television… cottage was dirty… mud and spill mar…ks on the floor… walls had splash marks on them… stains on the pull out loveseat… hole in the ceiling tile… bathroom was nice (done over)
2… after golf on Tuesday we changed and headed to the clubhouse for supper… closed at 5… the only place was the dining room… had to wait for a table… not sure why the dining room was not full… only about 30 people there… when we were seated we were told that it would be anywhere from 1 — 1 1/2 hrs before we would receive… had no choice only place to eat… meal was not good for the money spent sent the mussels back tasted bad… Caesar salad only had romaine lettuce and dressing…
3… no canteen on the course and the cart isn't seen too often… we started golfing at 9am… didn't eat after that until 2:00pm
4… meal after golf… beef stir fry… no taste… very poor meals… Would go to golf only… the course is in great shape and bring our own food, but would never stay again…

Nice clean rooms. Beautiful view of the lake. Restaurant service was horrible! We waited over an hour for our food. When it finally arrived, we had to send back the steak because it was way overdone when we ask for medium rare. Do not go to this place if you need internet access for business purposes. Internet was awful! Other than that, the people were very nice, and I feel bad putting any negative information in this review… But I would be dishonest if I left it out.

I rented the room with a jacuzzi and king bed, the jacuzzi is meant for 1 person. There were no coffee cups in my room, the coffee packages were opened I'm guessing from the previous guests. I know it's their busy season, so that's not that big of a deal. It would be nice if their menu had a few more selections, however the food is good :-) Echo is usually the entertainment playing when we are there, they are really great and add to the experience. Views are beautiful and staff is incredible! I definitely have a good time when I'm there :-)

We stayed two nights at the hotel while attending a wedding. At first we were reserved to stay at the cottages that is managed by the resort. The cottages defiantly had a rustic camp feeling and was extremely hot due to the current heat wave and humidity. We were able to switch to a room in the hotel/resort. The hospitality and friendliness of the staff was beyond reproach — this includes the staff that assisted with the wedding. I would recommend anyone to consider and shortlist this resort for a 'domestic' Canadian destination wedding. My only suggestion is to add mini fridges to the hotel rooms.

Friendly staff, delicious meals and great golf. Will come back again.

Beautiful scenery, comfortable cabins with all the amenities. The green is meticulously cared for. Best enjoyed with lots of friends. Nothing like a good BBQ at the end of a day of golf. I like the cabins at the top of the hill for the better view of the lake. Sunset is the best.

I've stayed in $65 a night motels that are better than this place. Check in time is 3PM, we arrived at 345 and our room wasn't ready, and they couldn't find the keys. The bbq caught on fire, it was so dirty from previous guests. Unless you get down on the floor on your belly, you can't adjust the heat in the rooms. The living room was so hot you couldn't stand it, while the bedrooms were like an ice room. The decks are rotten, we couldn't even allow our dog to roam around on it for fear she would fall through. The TV has one channel, and the HDMI plugs do not work. When we asked for it to be switched with one that worked they said "We can't do that". For a "World Class" resort I say spend your money elsewhere!

Beautiful resort nice view overlooking lake large and newly renovated rooms friendly staff food was good had round of golf with friends really enjoyed well maintained greens and fair ways spectacular views from almost all holes good place to host events and family gathering would definitely visit again

Course was in great condition for the start of the season. Food in the clubhouse was fantastic.

Went here for a family reunion this summer. The weather was amazing, the cottages were spectacular, and the resort itself was well maintained. Ironically, as I post this from my phone, my favourite portion of the trip was the lack of cellular reception and wi fi. It was really nice to disconnect for a few days and noy be glued to this thing. Made me appreciate more of my surroundings. Already looking to book again in the future!

Great place to stay and the staff are very friendly and happy to help. Rooms are very spacious and nice and clean. The food was excellent and you had a fantastic view from the restaurant.

Mixed review. Beautiful location, but poor Wi-Fi and no cell tower signal makes work a bit challenging. Cottages were quite dated but fine for a night or two.

The decor was tired. And the Wi-Fi only worked in a couple of rooms. There was also no cell service in the area so be prepared for an off the grid vacation! Food was soso — very standard and high priced for the quality. However the staff was very accomodating and service oriented. I stayed 2 nights.

A series of mixed experiences left me a little puzzled at what to feature, so this will be a bit of a long write-up. The views are gorgeous, the golf course lovely. Most of the staff were friendly, helpful, and open, but some (as below) either indifferent or incompetent. The waterfront is terrific; sadly nobody seemed to avail themselves of the boats and canoes, but long hours and loads of availability were a nice plus! We stayed in a 2BR cottage. It was old, and really quite disappointing for the price paid, ESPECIALLY when contrasted to the newly renovated and upgraded cottage we got a look at; WOW, the new ones are NICE, WOW the old ones are NOT. OLD and torn bedding, paint peeling, perma-mold in shower stall, tiny almost useless kitchen (have to run power cords for toaster, kettle etc. Basically INSIDE the sink?! ). Tiny TV with no remote. Fridge positioned so every time you open door, hot water tank pilot blows out then re-ignites with a great whoosh of flame. We arrived to discover the previous tenants had left a cheeseburger on the grill, housekeeping must have liked it because it was not removed until the final day of our stay. The outdoor pool was a joke. FREEZING cold (you pretty much HAVE to heat an outdoor pool in the Maritimes guys; air temp drops to 13 degrees Celsius at night. When we arrived it was murky and algae filled, and never vacuumed during our stay.

A must do course on Cape Breton to say the least. It's been here for decades and for a reason. Worth the drive!

Were thank only for one night here! Had bad luck with the room! It smelled totally moldy! Staff very rude! But long beautiful!

Spent a quiet night at Dundee Resort & Golf Club, Nova Scotia. Room is comfortable, furnished with fridge, coffee/tea maker. Plenty of Fresh Air! Great Sunset view! Friendly Services.

Rooms were nice, small balcony was a plus. Restaurant food is average to below average. Kayaking hut is closed until 11am and didn't open on time when we wanted to use it so we missed out. They did offer to comp our kayak fees if we wanted to stay, however we had a travel deadline so declined.

3/5, the hotel is clean and the beds are very comfy but there is no light over the doorway which makes it hard to unlock our door, the décor is very dated and the TV is small, old and difficult to watch because it is low and inside a shelving unit. Breakfast was very expensive. The hotel overnight price was great but only because it was a Groupon. I wouldn't pay full price to stay, for Sure. Staff was friendly though and kind to my kids so that was a big plus.

Service and hospitality was great but the Wi-Fi in some rooms and cottages was very weak.

Good place to golf and enjoy the views. Comfortable and clean rooms.

Course has seen better days… But on the bright side you get a cart included in your green fees which you'll need it if you are playing 18 holes. Very fun course but is also challenging. I play there quiet often.

Dundee is a hidden gem. Beautiful views and challenging golf, every golfer will love this course. The new club house is wonderful and the Resort Dining is excellent. Minus two stars for the slow greens and the uneven tee boxes and the outhouses on the course. Look for the washrooms behind the halfway house. Cheap days on Tuesday and Thursday. Welcome to God's Country!
