Very nice place to enjoy while traveling.

We only came for the pool after a hour of being here. Pool got closed asked to rebook for another night. They said no.

Such friendly service, very clean including the pool which was wonderful. Overall a great stay.

We’ve stayed here on a few occasions. Everything is very clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The gods love the pool and water slide, so do the adults. They make the pets feel welcome. The hotel is located close to everything.

We enjoyed our stay last night while on a work trip. Spotless room, friendly service, comfy bed. And the swim in their heated pool was a delight.

Had a beautiful stay here, all the staff were great! A special thank you to Sandy if you are reading this we appreciated all your help! If we visit the area again we will be back!

My son had left his stuffed toy in our hotel room. We had checked out and had been in Gander before he realized it. We called and they found his stuff lobster and mailed it free of charge to him. I would recommend a hotel who shows this kind of kindness to anyone.

All the staff are so friendly and very comfortable stay.

Staff is AMAZING! Especially Benjamin, goes way above and beyond. Would definitely recommend this place and will definitely be back! Thank you for the hospitality, especially during such hard times! Much appreciated.

We had an awesome stay in this hotel! The pool was warm enough to jump right in. We enjoyed my water slide and hot tub as well. Our jacuzzi room was very big. I loved the fireplace! The king size bed and pillows was very comfy.
We will be returning for another night in the future.

Great service it is very quiet very friendly very clean I would recommend this hotel to anyone the ol atmosphere is just great just love the pool.

It was a great stay, staff were very helpful, very accommodating to our needs due to our ferry being delayed. Breakfast was always amazing and always well stocked. Pool area was always clean, lots of dry towels, and pool was nicely heated; just wish the hot tub was a little hotter, but did the job. Overall, if I had to stay there again I most definitely would stay here.

My TV did not work. Also had draft in room from grate on the wall.
Would not provide late check out. Don't stay in room 202. I will stay at Deer Lake Motel in next visit.

Great rooms, facilities, and location.

This is a fantastic Hotel. I stay there often as an airline employee and I cannot say enough good things about how well we get looked after there. Exceptionally clean and modern.

Staff is friendly and very helpful. Beds are comfortable and rooms are large and very clean. They have an early start breakfast that's starts at 3am. Which is awesome!

A great, clean and reasonably priced hotel. The staff really went above and beyond — our luggage, including our toiletries, had been misplaced by our airline, and the staff went out of their way to make sure that we got everything we needed.

My stay at the Holiday Inn Express was excellent. The front staff were very nice. The bed was extremely comfortable. I feel asleep and when my alarm went off, I was stirred from a really deep slumber. I felt like I didn't even know where I was. The breakfast was also pretty good. A good variety of options including an automatic pancake machine. All in all, would definitely stay again.

Clean and tidy. Concerning about the amount of plastic and non recyclable items — cutlery, plastic glasses individually wrapped etc that will go into landfill.

The rooms were clean and comfy! The kids loved the pool and slide!

We had an amazing experience at this hotel! All staff I interacted with were extremely friendly! Rooms were clean, the pool was a huge hit with our kids. LOVED that they had a washer and dryer available, as well as a business center. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone passing through!

AMAZING service. Upon checking in the front desk attendant was extremely personable and explained above and beyond everything we needed including breakfast and how to get to our room, which is normally unheard of. We were also handed donuts from the hotel that support the Humboldt Broncos. Will definitely be staying here on all further trips to Deer Lake.

Wasn’t really happy with my stay at the holiday inn express in Deer Lake, I wasn’t informed that the hot tub was broken when I booked the room, which I asked if the hot tub and pool would be open due to bring my kids and they were looking forward to that. Second when we checked in the man that did that told us breakfast was until 10. Am and when my wife 4 kids and myself went for breakfast on Tuesday morning at 9:15 it was all cleaned up and we had to have cereal or nothing hot at all. So that wasn’t good when we had to go to another restaurant to get a good breakfast. I think we should get reimbursed for some of our money due to the inconvenience we Encountered.

Attended a meet and greet during the welcoming of Athletes during the NL WINTER Games. A beautiful modern facility, great staff.

Nice rooms pool waterslide were fine. Hot tub was broken and the air temperature in the pool area along with the water temperature was kind of cool. Pretty expensive as well at $190 a night.

Our second time at this hotel. Love it lots. Service is the best! Service we received from BEN at the front desk was by far the best service I have ever received from reception at any hotel! Keep it up! If all people had his attitude and personality there would never be need for people to complain.

Why stay anywhere else when in deerlake. With a pool and amazing hot breakfast I'm hooked!

Full breakfast is free with room, laundry supplied at your own time (coin) Wi-Fi, TV, coffee is supplied with coffee maker, swimming pool! It's very comfortable with friendly staff what more could you ask for!

Very clean and well maintained.
Did call the main lobby during my stay and got no answer both times.
At 2am someone tried to get into our room by using their key card and ringing the door bell non stop which prompted the door bell lights to go off and such. Not the staffs fault, it was a guest who had the wrong room, but was annoying when we had to get up at 4 for the airport.
Pool was a little cold but such a wonderful feature.

Relatively new hotel so still fairly clean and modern however access is kinda awkward. It’s not directly off the highway, you have to exit the highway and drive through a residential neighbourhood.

Clean rooms. Pretty good free breakfast. The pool area was kinda messy with broken floaties and swim goggles all over the place.

Such a beautiful place to stay, especially with kids, and the staff are always friendly and go beyond to help in any way.

Rooms and the grounds are clean and neat. The staff here is excellent and friendly. My flight was delayed and my partner arrived before me and the staff let her in the room even though it was booked in my name instead of leaving her waiting in the lobby. The breakfasts were excellent and the attendant was fabulous. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Location is a bit strange as its off the highway but not that easy to get to. Otherwise I love it here. Always great service, best place to stay in deer lake.

Best sleep I've ever had. Great staff and best of all the whole hotel is pet friendly.

I love a hotel that understands breakfast starts at 3am when you are near an airport. Also the bedding is soft a huge plus.

Same old holiday inn. Way over rated for a bed to sleep in for six hours which is also further from walking areas of interest. Should have stayed at other places for half price but my budy booked us.

I enjoyed my stay here. The bed was very comfy, so were the pillows. The linen was not the best but still ok and so were the towels. The bathroom is a nice size and good shower présure. The water however had a slight color to it, it made me wary to drink it. The gym is good and there is also a pool and hot tub I didn't use. The included breakfast was one of the better ones of the many places I've stayed. The only downside to this hotel is the price is somewhat high.

Only giving 4 stars simply due to the highway noise. Rooms & all else was exceptional except for the fact that I didn't get much sleep due to the constant noise from the highway. Needing 7/8 hours sleep is usually the reason for staying in a hotel for me mostly. Perhaps if the room was on the other side of the building it would have been more quiet. The room I had was facing the highway & I didn't get much sleep. I think the windows were probably the issue but I was too tired to even look at the windows as it was late/dark by the time I got there. Perhaps others with noise issues might appreciate honest feedback? I know I do. Overall it was a beautiful, spacious bedroom with a comfortable bed, excellent breakfast, pet friendly (bonus) & service (check in) was top notch. I would have gladly given 5 stars if not for the noise concern.

As long as you're not there at the same time as a hockey/sports team (I mean kids), you're good. If at that time, they don't keep a lid on their literal running around screaming through the halls. So I'll stay there any time except "travel for hockey" season.

Best option for late night arrival! Check in and out were easy. We didn't wake up for the breakfast so can't comment on it but it was a good night's sleep. They were really helpful!
