The staff here are awesome Pia, Lauren, and Jeremiah very helpful and very friendly during our stay due to evacuation also staff at Denny’s are kind and nice to all bless them all.

Only stayed one night and it wasnt worth it. We had to be moved into 2 different rooms. First room had no TV remote, they moved us because of it. Second room was dirty and missing items! Hair all under the pillows on the bed and under the blankets. So they moved us again. Exact same rooms none of them were good. The beds are on the hard side… I wouldn't pay to stay here again.

Recently stayed at the sandman with our 2 kids. First issue was the accessible parking was barely shovelled, couldn’t get the side lift out of our van properly to get our daughter out. Next was the litter in the hallway on the 2nd floor leading to our room. Room keys continuously didn’t work and we had to keep going back down to the front desk to get them reprogrammed. Room had double beds as opposed to queen beds, too small. Our room had no hot water, had to shower in lukewarm water for the entire stay. Nowhere to sit while the kids are swimming in the pool area, some chairs would be nice. It was our first stay at Sandman, and also our last.

They always give us a pretty big room when people from our company stay there. The gym is better than average. I'm not in love with the pillows though.

I give two stars because Chloe (I think that’s her name? ) at the front desk was helpful, the two times we got to speak with her, and the cleaning staff were good. However, I wish the cleaning staff were able to tidy up some of the customer service I received at the front desk. I was at the hotel for a few weeks because of work. Other guests that I knew received no hospitality from one of the managers at the desk. In fact, we received quite the opposite on a few occasions. There were a couple of hiccups we experienced, but none of them seemed to be dealt with or followed up with properly. It just appears like there should be more knowledge in hospitality for some. I know it is a difficult industry, and it takes all kinds of kinds to make a hotel run properly. However, one thing the staff should all have in common, is the quality of striving to be hospitable.

Location is nice and close to the hotel. The gym is decent size with a lot of equipment for a full workout. The room is more than enough since it's a suite. But maybe after 5 years, it's time to consider a renovation?

Very stuffy inside building, food provided for corporate breakfast and lunch event was very cold and disappointing. Girls coming in and out of room constantly were very loud while setting up.

A little old and tired. It's located in an industrial area out by the airport but not too far from polo park. What is with the fitness centre filling up with some personal trainer teaching classes in there in the evening? That was a bit weird. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Has a free shuttle to get you to and from the airport. Denny's and Chop on site like many other Sandman locations.

Affordable and convenient, I love that they provide airport shuttle, unfortunately I had to wait 30 minutes for the bus (they said it would take 15 minutes). Make sure to call them first and then collect luggage, food, etc. The hotel was clean and quiet, no breakfast included but they did provide coffee, apples and granola bars. For an overnight layover, this hotel was fine and I would stay again.

Older building and rooms but still quite nice. There is a full gym with lots of equipment. There are 2 restaurant chains attached, one which is open 24 hours. The only complaint is that the rooms need updating.

Had the chop burger with fries. Burger was great but I would get the onion rings next time. Great spot for lunch.

Room is nice and on the large side. The added pull out couch comes in handy. Front desk friendly and capable. Dennys restraunt provides room service with excellent food also available is chop the other restraunt attached to hotel. No complaints.

Was there for a professional event. The room size is good. But the ventilation system is incredibly loud in the event room. Unable to hear the speaker at times. The hotel is clean and nice.

We got to the sandman at 3:30am with a room already booked for 2 nights. Went up to the room and there were 2 big yellow stains on the comforter and the room looked very run down. We went back to the desk to ask for a different room. The manager at the time (Grant I think his name was) was very accommodating and very pleasant to deal with. He gave us another room, tried to settle in, looked at the bed and the pillows had huge yellow stains on them and the couch had a big cigarette burn on the arm. We went back to the front desk again, the manager gave us another room on the main floor and came with us to inspect it. Everything was good so he left and we went to bed. The room was very hot and the ac was so loud neither of us could sleep properly, the water pressure in the shower was so terrible you couldn’t have a normal shower. Not impressed at all. The only thing good I have to say about this hotel is the customer service.

I had a hard time with the shuttle but the staff was so nice and understanding The rooms are clean and quiet. It resembles a small apartment. The bar food and drinks were not expensive and The staff are very sweet. One of my favorite hotels.

Good clean rooms for a good price. Well located if you're looking for shopping. Denny's and Chopped are connected.

Overall I would rate the hotel about 3.5-4 stars, however this last stay we had a very poor room and so the review score reflects that. The staff was less than friendly when checking in, and the room we were in was directly next to the elevator (which woke me up multiple times throughout the night). It also had extremely poor water pressure and temperature in the shower. The amenities were rather poor, and only had basic cable and a VERY small tv. Rather sub-par for a hotel these days. The saving grace was the very friendly woman who helped us check out and drove us to the airport the next morning. Overall a very poor stay and I had expected more.

I had a very crappy 2 day stay. The room was cold from the outside — 30 wind blowing in from the air conditioner and the baseboard heater wasn’t working properly. I tried asking if they could move me to a different room but they said none was available but that’s bull. I ended up buying a window plastic kit to block out the cold breeze from the air conditioner. I have pics of the broken heater and the window kit that I used on the air conditioner.

Very clean and organized hotel. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are comfy and there is a Denny's next door that does room service. Will be staying again!

Very happy with the accommodations. Clean room with upgrades. Comfortable bed and pull out sleeper couch (we had a king size suite. ) Staff was friendly and very helpful. Good location for airport and shopping. Not too much outside noise. Onsite restaurants, pool and fitness room. Would recommend this hotel to others.

I booked a room for New Year's eve so our family could relax and enjoy the night. I approached front desk and expected to be welcomed but the receptionist appeared unhappy with her job. She did not greet us, did not smile and did not give enough hotel info other than the way to the elevator. She probably needs a refresher on customer service. On the plus side — the room was nice; beds, linens and pillows were comfy; price was affordable and whirlpool was so warm and relaxing.

Staff very helpful stayed here many times clean rooms good prices can't say any bad times. Two good restaurants attached. Pool and a hot tub.

Comfortable bed, nice rooms, and CHOP is attached. That's all I need. In addition though, staff are amazing. Internet is good. I love this place. My main Winnipeg stay!

I was there for a work related event, dinner was fantastic, staff working were pleasant and professional. They catered to my needs specifically because I have a food allergy and when we told them the food was cold they brought us an alternative to make sure we were satisfied. I'm very pleased with my visit.

We have our company holiday party here annually. It's always great food and service. Great room setup and accommodation for anything we have needed.

Customer service is poor as they are not interested in dealing with maintenance issues or the satisfaction of their guests. I asked the front desk people to get the hot tub jet to work for 3 whole days and it wasn't done. I got the same excuses from each of them.

Beautiful hotel, basic amenities, attached Denny's restaurant. Shopping, movies, airport, theatre nearby. Excellent public transport to downtown outside the door.

Had people fighting above my suite but it was resolved quickly and appropriately, other than that the walls are pretty sound proof. The staff are very professional with customer service and try their best to accommodate your needs. Very friendly and lenient and also got a 24/7 Denny's. (Breakfast) *High security.

I had just a quick stay here for business, but the hotel was comfortable and the room was larger than I expected. Wi-Fi was much faster than most other hotels.

Great and has a Denny's attached that is open 24/7. Small pool that's more suitable for exercise rather than kids.

Great hotel. Rooms are clean and comfy. Staff are excellent. The hotel does have shuttle service to the airport but we did not make use of it.

I've stayed here numerous times for work and always had a great stay. The rooms are a good size and the staff are friendly. There's an excellent restaurant and lounge attached and denny's for late night eats or a big breakfast. There's lots of parking and its close to the airport but not so close there's endless noise. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

Honestly a very considerate staff. The rooms are full suites with fridge, coffee maker, microwave, full sink, kitchen, living room and separate bedroom. The rooms have been renovated. Our shuttle pickup had our room keys so we could go straight to the room.

My bed was terribly hard, my "fresh sheets" has a blood stain on them. My last night there the guy at the front desk was incredibly rude to me when it came to me forgetting my key in my room. Gave me a lecture about forgetting my key. Around 8:30 in the morning I woke up to a house keeper opening my door to come in and clean. I was scared to take the elevator because of all the noises it was making. It sounded like it was broken. My
AC in my room wasn't working, I told the front desk and all he had to say was "oh well" I do not recommend staying here. I've stayed at a lot of sandman hotels and this is by far the worst.

Very clean didn't hear other people moving around. Bed was like heaven. Not enough reachable electric outlets but overall a very decent place to stay. Love Denny's.

This is a great hotel, clean, comfortable, and pet friendly. The pool is pretty far away from the rooms, but it's a nice pool and the hot tub is great. The attached Denny's is open 24hrs and provides room service. There is also a sit-down resturaunt called Chops, but I didn't eat there.

Spacious room and good rates. Has pool small gym and with Denny's and Chop Steakhouse attached you don't have to leave. Free Wi-Fi!

Great hotel, but need to work out the parking today is February 11, 2016 many vehicles parked for the people who are in the sun! Frustrating to find parking! Blocked in this morning, I would stay here in the summer, winter is out!

Nice mediocre hotel. Bright and clean. Small tv. The chop house is great. Dennys is bad! Even compared to fast food. Very slow Internet. The largest inconvenience is that your room keys are constantly disabled by staff or computer program. I am often at this hotel with a large group on extended stays Always go to the desk to have your key reactivated before making the Long walk to your room.

Very nice gym. But personal trainers use fir client's. So out of week stay missed 3 work out coz gym is full. Not impressed. Would stay at new place next time even with less of a gym. At least I would get to work out.

The chop is an excellent restaurant.

Stay at a comfort inn u get the same for less not impressed can't even get a mini fridge to your room but comfort inn will for half the price not impressed at all.

We were orginally booked with another more expensive hotel, but it was dark and dusty so we decided to stay at the Sandman. I was so impressed with the friendly staff, the great food at Chop (the hotel's restaurant), and clean, comfortable rooms. The decor was warm and inviting and the hotel offered a great deal of free services — such as free airport shuttles. I will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. For the price and the convenient location it is a good deal.
