Ate at the restaurant for lunch, the service and the food was fabulous.

Very loud all night staff didn’t do anything about it very disappointed with the cost.

We really enjoyed the Wood Tavern. Great service and wonderful atmosphere. The food was great and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The server offered excellent suggestions. We live the large communal table at the front. We met so many nice people.

We had two meals in their restaurant — a breakfast and a dinner. The staff was friend dly and helpful. The food was good-to-excellent. The breakfast was very inexpensive and quite generous.

Couldn't have asked for a better venue. They were super accommodating to our requests and delivered on everything the day of plus a few extras. During the day when we had random requests they were more than happy to help out and look for solutions when it looked tough. And the terrace salon has an amazing patio, perfect for summer. Will definitely use for future events.

The Sparrow family keeps on making great hotels. The Norwood is close to The Forks, French Quarter and downtown. Good restaurant on site.

The location is great. The food and the serving staffs were awesome. The hotel is in the heart of Winnipeg. Room and other services were also standard.

Very classy and professional place for holding meetings. The staff are excellent, very attentive and efficient. Refreshments included a variety of cookies, fruits, and vegetables along with tea and coffee.

Great place for a reasonably priced breakfast. Check it out! No frills place to stay on business.

Been for breakfast a number of times, food is always very good at an excellent price. Have used a number of the conference rooms as well. The hotel does a great job of looking after the conferences. Have not stayed in a room here. The staff is very friendly, met the general manager as well and is a top notch manager. If you are looking for something to eat or need a conference area I’m sure you will be looked after here.

The Wood has always had a special place in my heart with years of memories. Still enjoy going there with my family and am never disappointed by the service and food. Generous portions, hot and delicious meals.

Went there for the breakfast special, it was very well done, price was fair and serving staff were very friendly. Get their early though because space is somewhat limited and it can get pretty busy!

I was there for a lunch thing where my mom was receiving an award. Not sure if the hotel supplied the food, but it was really good. Bathrooms were clean and nice. The front entrance by the front desk was really nice.

I had fun playing there in a band and I know most of the bands that play there. Likable serving staff and comfortable place with good bands a good sound guy Vince and sound system sounds great.

Great spot. The first beef lunch is excellent, staff are prompt and courteous, and the space is more than appropriate and adequate.

Went in to do a pickup for work and was greeted by a very nice girl at the front desk, who called for someone to come help me. He came promptly, and pointed me in the right direction and off I went. Very nice staff there, would go back for sure.

The place is cozy and they have the reception a girl who caters you beautifully and solves your problems is called Rowena Sator.

The room was clean and nicely decorated. We didn't have to go to far into the hotel to find the room. The staff was polite, helfpul amd friendly. The food was hot, good and plenty of it. Great place to host a function.

This hotel makes you pay an extra $10.00 a night to park in there parking lot. What kind of service is this? I will never stay there again… and will make sure patrons are aware of this fee.

I stayed at this hotel last year, and they've renovated since then. The halls and the room were much more modern. Rooms are still clean and comfortable. Staff service was excellent too. The restaurant was mostly hit but sometimes miss.

Food and service were great! Went for lunch. Had French onion soup and an order of garlic bread. The soup war a tad too salty for my taste, but still great! Waitress was nice.

I was attending a professional event for work. The lobby, meeting room, and washroom facilities were very clean. All the staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful. I went to the restaurant for lunch. It was also very clean and staff was friendly. Service was extremely quick and the food was very affordable and delicious.

Vendor across the street is great & the restaurant has good breakfast.

Recently attended a wedding at the Norwood hotel in the large ballroom. The event went smoothly, ballroom looked very nice, and all of the staff were fantastic. We even left items there when we left and they had them at the front desk in the morning.

Nice room and service. Hair dryer needs to be replaced. Deluxe room needs better artwork!

Good food, home cooked, mostly Bar restaurant style. Lots of seating and friendly staff. Just tell the hotel you are eating there and parking is free.

Love this place. I eat n play slots here quite frequently. Love it.

Very accommodating. Water available at either side of the room. Good set up for our group.

We stayed for a wedding and had a very positive experience. The staff was pleasant and professional and the rooms were clean and comfortable. We ate breakfast at the restaurant and the food and service was great. The banquet food at the wedding was very good. Also, I thought the location was ideal.

I can't believe I found a place that makes such good Caesar salad! They make their own dressing and it is fantastic! Would highly recommend!

So for the last 3 years I have been booking our company sponsored Brewmasters meeting there… the service has always been great and the food outstanding. Very professional and very efficient. Ernie and her staff make the experience great for all of our members… they make it so we come back every year… so anyone that wants to plan an event should really check out the Norwood Hotel and talk to Ernie. She is awesome.

Wood Tavern and Grill is an excellent spot for Sunday brunch. The prices are reasonable and the quality of food is great.

Good parking, excellent room materials, room service is good, ordered room service they arrived at the specified time. Beds are comfortable, the air conditioner made a bit of noise. The shower is walk in very nice.

Parking was great and they have very good food. Is there for a conference and it was a good meeting place. Will go there again.

My experience there was overall very positive. I only have two complaints and they are minor ones. The first one was that the custodian that was there at 1am-2am (whenever we got there) was kind of rude and was definitely acting very unfriendly, like he hated us being there (though we were a group of almost 30 people). The second complaint is that the bar in the hotel was not a complete bar. They only had wine, hard alcohol, and beer. They didn't even have a blender to make a pina colada… which was disappointing.

I went there for a Christmas party catered by the norwood hotel. The food and service were both excellent.

Stayed on a Saturday, this place is a big time party hotel on the weekends apparently. Had to listen to conversations, people yelling and doors slamming all night long. It didn't get quiet once from 2 a. M. Until 4 a. M. Nice place to party but not so nice to get some sleep. Went for a walk around 6 a. M. And people were still up outside, peeing on the fence in the back parking lot. Rooms were small. Nice sheets, bed was pretty comfortable.

Was ok staying there. But the room we got was a little to small, little room pace to move around in the room.

If you plan to park here monthly, be forewarned. They charge $80/month, which was only $60/month less than 2 years ago. For that fee, they are still charging for spots that do not have a plug-in. I'd consider this a requirement for our harsh winters. On top of this, they've been off and on with odd requests — the latest was asking for your prior pass to be turned in before being allowed to buy a new monthly pass. Something about trying to stop people from faking their passes. The flaw with this was they didn't keep track of who anyone is, and if you skipped a month, you found yourself having a small disagreement with the teller while becoming late to get to work. If a conference or the like happens to be occurring within the hotel, you can even find yourself without a parking spot! This only happened once, but it did hold me up from getting to my job as I had to find a new location to go to. This place is not organized in this manor, and no one kept their monthly clients in consideration. Very disappointing. Note: This is purely a shared experience regarding parking. I have not stayed within the hotel to provide comments on the rooms, food, pricing, etc.

Very clean, friendly staff and great service.

We stay here regularly, particularly when we have business at St. B. Hospital. It is nothing spectacular but is quite comfortable and has a nice restaurant and pub. It is a fair walk to the Forks. It has free outdoor parking. All things considered it provides fair value at $128.00 incl. Taxes.
