Absolutely wonderful… experienced guides and pilots and awesome terrain not to forget the food oh ya the food!

I highly recommend this trip for anyone who truely appreciates skiing. Ski resort skiing will never be the same for me aftermy time in Blue River. My two guides Jason and Kim were exceptional in every way. I always felt safe due to their vast knowledge of the terrain and snow conditions. Our pilot Geoff was also perfect.

The trifecta of Terrain, Good Eats and Atmosphere. Felt safe and got my thrills. Wiggle with it!

The lodge is beautiful, the metal work done local blacksmith is absolutely incredible. Although I was only there for a couple hours, I definitely felt at home.

Look up the definition of excellent customer service in the dictionary and you will find "Mike Wiegele Helicopter Skiing". Everything about this place is exceptional, from the world class heliskiing to cozy "rustic-chic" log cabins, but what's truly amazing is its superb customer service. Every stay has been stellar. Can't wait to return!

Lovely log cabins, superb location, nice service and a decent breakfast.

Just held a training weekend there for 46 people. Staff and accommodations were all first rate. We had a few internal issues with some of our people, and the front desk staff bent over backwards in order to help us sort out our problems. Couldn’t have stayed at a better place!

Mosquitoes, mosquitoes, mosquitoes.! They put us in a great wooden hut with two bedrooms, but when we returned from dinner we discovered an individual — with a certain resemblance to Freddy Krueger — inside, claiming that he had the same, that is to say that he had to share it with a stranger without notice, despite its high price.
We locked ourselves in the room atrancando the door terrified, discovering after a few hours that the individual had disappeared without a trace.
The worst, the trillions of mosquitoes that force the people of the place to circulate with a suits of metallic fabric never seen.
Not recommended, unless you go in winter to practice heli-skiing.

I love it here. Great people. N all the employees r amazing. They have great packages for skiing n skiing n the food is amazing at the lodge. Also the gym n massage. It's all yr round. In the summer there is alot to do as well there is hiking swimming canoeing the river safari. N much much more.

Missing my beautiful daughter who is on a working visa for 2 years at Mike Wiegele Helicopter Ski Resort from Perth Australia. ♥️❤️♥️ Back again and about two days short of three months since I posted the first paragraph of this review post. I have to agree with Cams post and say that the supervisors have been complete assholes to my daughter for nearly the whole three months well actually five days short of the 3 month probation period. My daughter and two more people I know of and good people too have had their employment cancelled on the spot for petty childish reasons like texting on their break time the colour of their hair and just for being AUSSIES. One of the supervisors without naming names actually called my daughter a C**T? No words can I even describe for this unreasonable remark and I hope that supervisor gets the sack for speaking to employees like that. Anyways my daughter and her friends have been so upset as they have lost their jobs and have been left basically in the middle of the wilderness with no savings and nowhere to go. You people should be ashamed of how you treat your employees and I will be spreading the word about you and your big mouth because that’s my daughter you called a C**T! It’s way more than a hop skip and a jump back to Australia and lucky for you I am that far away. For your sake her and her friends had better be safe and make it back home to Australia.

Just would like to take the time to let everyone in the world know what type of people work for this company. I worked in house keeping for nearly 3 months and the all the staff seemed really nice at first but unfortunatley things turned around very quickly as the management were really toxic, minipulative and unprofessional as they treated majority of the house keeping department like numbers and animals, (mainly the supervisors).

Does not treat snowmobilers well. Does not provide lodging if you're a snowmobiler.

Visited last Winter for a planned single day heli-ski as an add on. Actually never got to heli-ski because of the poorly run reservation system and the disorganization at Wiegele; but I did spend a day in the lodge while my buddy was luckily added on to a chopper for what he described as mediocre heli-boarding. I wrote a long letter to Wiegele, hoping, at least for an apology for a two hour drive, their systems reservation failures, and a wasted ski day, but they never replied, or just as likely the reply got lost in their system. That attitude, or disorganization, fits with the general vibe we got starting with our arrival in the early am, at the appointed time, per their instructions, to the clueless, albeit friendly enough desk staff, and the mostly rude or uninterested guides we encountered while we tried to sort out our reservation. The lodge is bland as heli-ski lodges go, the place disorganized, the scenery not so good compared to most of B. C. The costs high, most of the guides unhelpful, and the heli-skiing certainly not top notch compared to other operators and locations I've experienced over 25 years of heli-skiing. They do have a nice, but expensive, ski and board shop on the premises which accounts for the two stars above zero.

Fantastic guides and pilots who were knowledgeable and friendly! I always felt safe and taken care of!
The food was too die for, each time I go I come home with a Heli belly!

Neat hotel. Rooms are in cabins. Restaurant across the street was not the greatest though. Hello tour was the highlight of the road trip.

We loved our stay here, it was clean and they let us pre check in. They give out free canoes to take out to the eleanor lake. The heli tours are pricey and it is better to take heli tours in jasper/banff than here. Highly recommended.

Arrived quite late while passing through town, was only place left with a room as all other motels were full. It was my birthday so we splurged and stayed at this Heli-skiing resort. Usually we would not have paid this much for a night, but considering we had a fully appointed chalet with a kitchen, wood fireplace and tons of wood, washer and dryer, king bed and huge dining and living room, it was well worth it! Clean all around, friendly staff who didn't mind we checked out over an hour past checkout time. Makes me wanna return in the winter to go Heli skiing here with my buddies!

My husband and I did the grizzly hut helicopter picnic today and this adventure was 5 stars starting with the pilot Nick, the picnic basket was full of delicious sandwiches, soup, salad, veggies and dessert! Grizzly hut was situated on a gorgeous mountain top although it was hard to leave and we would of loved to stay there awhile longer (like a few days) we were anxious to see what was around the next mountain.
Nick was very knowledgeable about the area, flying skills were a 10 and he really looked after us and gave us a beautiful tour and at no time were we rushed or felt uncomfortable with him.
This is our 4th time staying at this resort and each time we find the staff, accommodations and adventures to keep us coming back again and again.

This is the finest skiing, guiding, dining and atmosphere in the entire world of skiing. I've been six times and am signed up again for this coming ski season. Worth every cent of the cost. I love Wiegele's!

We were booked in for one night could not park near our room so had to carry every thing 50 feet in the heat, looked for the air conditioning in room but there was none went to make a cup of tea but there was no plug for the kettle. Room was off a very poor standard so we asked for our money back and moved on.

I have been to CMH 2 times, and Wiegele 3 times. These two places are the most well established heli-ski operations in the world. While they are priced similarly, there is really no comparison. Safety always comes first, and MW started the Canadian Guides Association years ago where hundreds of guides have been trained, and it is recognized as a center of excellence worldwide. His collection of guides is without equal and there will be two in your group at all times. These guides know this terrain and this snow. The lead guide of the group will not be in that role without years of experience as a tail guide at THIS COMPANY. My recent lead guide had been in that lead role for over 20 years! They have also funded the most comprehensive studies in coordination with universities of how snow behaves. After safety, the second most important consideration is terrain. Early on Mike staked heli rights to a huge area in two mountain ranges filled with both tree runs and high alpine glaciers and everything in between. Their area is also right in the heart of the snow belt where it dumps over 1000 inches per year (twice that of Alta, for instance). When all of this is mixed in with luxurious accommodations, beautiful base lodge with lots of amenities, five star food supported by daily deliveries, vast wine cellar, and top notch customer services at all moments, how can you go wrong? A full fleet of helicopters are housed and maintained right on site.
