Blue River Cabins & Campgrounds Hotel

I was very disgusted with this campground. The pictures on the website are very outdated.
The services are just wires and hoses laying on the ground with open holes. There’s used sewer lines all over the place.
The sites are not maintained at all.
When I called I booked sites H&I. I even confirmed numerous time’s that I had sites booked as the phone conversations I had were not promising.
When we arrived we were not in H&I.
Our site I was giving to someone in a tent.
We have 2-30ft trailers with multiple pop outs. Our unit barely fit in the one site and our pop out was practically in our neighbours doorway. We couldn’t have a fire because they were too close to the trailers.
We gave up our second nights fees (40$) just to get out of there because of how terrible it was.
Would NOT recommend this place at all.

We tent camped here on a powered site and it was really nice. Their was a fire ban on, so they had a pot belly stove going in a covered gazebo which was really nice. It's close to a couple of lakes. We were there for 5 days and really enjoyed our stay.

It's definitely not a 5 star hotel, but it doe the trick overnight. For cabins, these aren't bad. We stayed in a basic cabin and had a lovely time. You get a bed, heater, lamp and bedding in your own cute little cabin for $70. The cabin could have been maintained better, but was still adorable. The light and space heater were left on so the cabin was toasty when we got there. Plus nothing beats waking up to a beautiful mountain view!

Super friendly helpful office staff! Amazing cute cozy cabin everything you could ask for. Washrooms/showers… heaters, fans. Canoes… maps to the town and fun adventure tours. Love it… highly recommended. Even a sand area for small children with toys. We will be back!

Brittney and the rest of the staff were awesome. Very helpful and always with a smile. Full service supplied even the hoses and sewer lines. Enjoyed our visit so much, if ever back that way will for sure stay there.

Friendly staffs, well managed campground, very clean facilities and the cabin! The setting is also beautiful and located in convenient location. Perfect for families, friends and couples. We loved our stay there and would like to come back!

Easy to reach, close to the highway. Very nice and helpful staff. Well-maintained attachment. All clean and fine.

Free to use kitchen, shower and Wi-Fi. There is no good supermarket nearby, keep that in mind.

My wife & I stayed at this place for 3 nights w/ several other family friends. Surprisingly enough, it had a wide open space with so many tall trees all around the site. It was a beautiful scenery to take a couple of group pictures. Moreover, it was also a nice pleasure to watch the little squirrels running around the site looking for food. This Campground & RV site was a little gem for us to spend our precious time together. What made our stay more remarkable was the fact that the cabin was nice & clean as well as very quiet at night. Furthermore, the owners and the staff were super friendly. It seemed to me they usually work diligently, especially in the summer, from early in the morning until late in the evening to provide the needs they are supposed to do. If you're looking for a little place to stay that allows a campfire at night under the decent budget, we definitely recommend this place for your first choice. We stayed there from Sept 8 — 10, 2017.

We worried about being close to the highway, and at first glance we were unsure. After further investigation and time spent we discovered it is ran by the most incredibly accommodating people. They have many more amenities then you can imagine. Well kept roads, recycling, fishing gear rentals, canoe and kayak rentals, gazebo with kitchen appliances, clean showers and much more!

Nice place. Good conditions. Friendly service. A little bit worn out toilets.

The staff barely spoke English. We paid for a cabin but were put in something old that I can only describe as a 70's camper part. There were holes in the windows and the cupboards were filled with empty beer cans from previous campers. When we tried to communicate this to the staff they just put a plastic bag in our hands and told us to clean it up ourselves. Because we couldn't close the windows the place was taken over by mosquitoes in no time. We left two days early. I don't like to write bad reviews but I really want to warn people about this place. It's absolutely not what they advertise it to be.

It was a great experience traveling with a toddler. They had complimentary small bike and play area, with toys for kids to ride and play. My boy loved playing here and kept him busy! Clean and well maintained sites. Like others have mentioned, location is beautiful! Staff was friendly. We used the dump station next morning. Like many rv parks, they charge a small fee to use. (there is a sign with fee amount at the dump station) Overall, we had a wonderful time!

Not bad, the staff was nice. Only 1 shower though.

The campground is fine but its proximity to the highway and the train tracks pretty well ensures you won't get a good night's sleep if you're in a tent. That said, as a stopover on your way to Murtle Lake, it does the trick for getting an early start in the morning.

Very modest for a night ok three stars just because the owner was super friendly otherwise only two stars.

Beautiful veiw and a nice quiet camp ground we stayed in a teepee for the night instead of setting up our own tent and there was a bbq and stuff to use in the gazebo. There was biking and kayaking and tours alot of hiking. I will definately be going back but hopefully have more time to explore as we only stayed the night.

Very simple but right on the Highway in a nearby place. For one night ok, but more also not. We were already arrived in the early afternoon, and the Forrest Road with the Pickup truck drove up to the start of several Hiking including trails to Murtle Lake. On a beautiful summer day, the approximately 1 Hour hike is manageable through wild terrain. At the end be rewarded by a beautiful large lake (Murtle Lake), with swimming facilities, away from the tourist stream.

I wouldnt go back, it was so close to the highway and had no privacy. They added on a charge per person that was not told to me when reserving the sites. For $52 I'd never go there again.

Do not go here. The website is misleading. We had planned to take our 2 kids here, but once we arrived we quickly realized that we HAD to leave. It is a stone's throw from the highway, directly behind a gas station. The campground is small, so small that cars basically drive by your tent without any barrier at all. No privacy at all at this campground… no area for kids to play. No area to enjoy the sun. No lake or river in sight. It is dusty (what is that white dust on the ground? ) it was so bad in fact, that we chose to gamble another 2 hours in our car with our 2 kids rather than spend one night at blue river campground. Sorry blue river. But your website is misleading.
