Nice hotel. We enjoy our room as it is north facing overlooking the mountain of the north shore. Our suite had 2 queens which was ok and they are very comfortable.
The pool and hot tub were great as usual.

It is an exceptionally professionally run hotel, very polite and fun staff and great food with outstanding service. Great rooms, great location and if cruising they take your bags to the ship for you. Our third stay over the years, perfect.

Fantastic hotel right next to the waters edge with stunning views and so much activity right on your door step. Amazing to watch the cruise ships docking right next to the pier below.

The absolute best place to stay before your cruise. They offer late check out for cruisers and they pick your luggage up at the room and take it to the cruise ship for you. Just make sure you call early to schedule luggage pick up. The hotel is connected to the convention center and food court. Also, an easy walk to sky train.

This hotel is awesome! We had the most wonderful stay for my birthday. The service is 11/10! The rooms are clean, cozy and posh! Great value too! Will definitely be staying here again! Thank you!

Stayed for work. Hotel has an amazing view and great location. My room was very dated and in need of an update. Walls were thin as well. Could clearly hear talking in adjacent rooms. One small hot tub for the size of the hotel means it is quite over loaded in the evening. Check in process took quite some time with only one check in person working at the time. And no offer to help with bags etc. Overall the hotel itself is beautiful but my room and stay could have been better.

The air is almost musty but in the best possible way. It smells of 'hotel' if that makes any sense to you. All this is good in my books. The lounge is one of the most beautiful, with a view of the water and the cruise ships in summer. The large glass windows offer up a relaxing atmosphere and it is especially enjoyable when there is a live guitar/musician playing easy listening music. Cocktails are good depending on your choice of cocktail. Bar snacks offered.

Went to the Italian opera buffet on Saturday night. Wonderful selection of food. Not a while lot but the quality was there. Dessert was very good as well. The opera singers were excellent! Very relaxing atmosphere and wait staff was filling out water regularly. Overall nice experience. Already booked to go again next week!

I've had many great stays and dining experiences at the Pan Pacific Vancouver. Today however I was appalled at the customer service received pool side. My friend and I were guests of the spa (which I will say was great). We went to the pool after our services and there was one server that popped her head in and out periodically. We couldn't even get her to come to the lower deck to order anything. I went to the phone after being there for over an hour to put in an order for both food and drinks. It really shouldn't take 40 minutes to get a drink. When our food and drinks did arrive I asked the server if he could bring me a side of garlic aioli. His response was — the kitchen is really far and you'll have to wait for it. I said that's fine I would still like. He kept repeating that the kitchen is on the other side of the hotel and the pool doesn't have it's own kitchen. He didn't want to get it for me. On top of that our drinks were so awful and watery neither of us drank them and of course there was no one in sight to get new ones or even make a comment to. Why on earth does a hotel even offer poolside service if there is no one there to serve in the first place, then charge a delivery fee when a server doesn't even want to deliver what you ask and charge an 18% gratuity. I have no issue spending that if the standards are what we are normally accustomed to at this hotel. We were both really disappointed and left the hotel.

Very nice location, but no free Wi-Fi, no breakfast in the morning included.

I used their roof top pool and hot tub as part of the Spa Utopia experience. The pool is shallow but heated, hot tub had jets and was adequately hot. The tiles felt dated but the view was excellent. It would have been better if there were no kids screaming their heads off.

(10 +) Can't wait to visit again. Outdoor pool overlooking the waterfront. Spa. Upscale restaurants. Near the train. Near everything. So many great places to eat within walking distance. We walked to Rogers Arena from the Pan Pacific as well as the ferry that takes you to Granville Island. Right next to Canada Place where you can catch the free shuttle that takes you to Capilano Suspension Bridge Park which I also highly recommend.

It is very nice. The room I have is newly renovated, so it is awesome. It is very clean. I love bed sheets & comforter. Bathroom is modern. Love it. The View from the room is fantastic. They have an outdoor heated pool as well.

The most unpalatable Sichuan food I have ever eaten, mainly the reason for Westernization, the West people eat a lot here!

Beautiful hotel with beautiful views. Amazing location! Super convenient from off the cruise ships, harbour air, convention centres, close to gastown, Stanley park and all the major tourist spots. Very clean, high class & has all the amenities. Perfect stay for your transition before/after a cruise, business visit or just coming to explore Vancouver.

Q I think there is no comparison one is hotel and the other hostel, depending on the tastes and needs of each person, the hostel is comfortable, clean and cheap but there are Q share rooms, in the hotel you have privacy but logically cost you $ $ $ $

Good location yet that a bit pricey, but pretty good for spending the night and going out the other day to discover Vancouver.

"Upgraded" room we got was disgustingly dirty, with a fake eyelash strip laying in plain sight right on the counter top next to food items. There were long black hairs all over the floor and one of the housecoats had makeup all over the collar. When I brought it to the attention of the staff; "it's very strange that our housekeeping would overlook something like that". — So what are you saying?. That I planted a fake eyelash and brought a bag full of long black hairs with me to the hotel to make your housekeeping people look bad? It's bad enough that we wen't here to have a nice romantic getaway, only to find the room filthy but then on top of it we're treated like we're liars? We decided later to head down to the hot tub, only to find it full of people smoking weed and having a party. Obviously the only thing this place cares about is making as much money as possible. I don't suggest it to anyone traveling to Vancouver.

Always like to come here. Now for the 11th time. Friendly staff, wonderful views, nice rooms, nice ambiance and a good value breakfast buffet. Priced at a higher level, but overall it is worth the money…

The rooms are very clean and modern (club floor rooms). The amenities, toiletries, club room and service are all first class. The staff was very attentive and helpful. Definitely worth the relatively small fee to upgrade!

Fairmont Pan Pacific Hotel has beautiful luxurious rooms with great views of Vancouver. Amenities and service are top notch. We used valet and porter services, which were quick and courteous. The location is excellent, close to good dining and a great jogging course. Clean, comfortable rooms with enough power outlets in the right places. The air conditioning was a bit loud for my traveling partner but I barely noticed it. The beds have more pillows than my house does, with a great variety of firmnesses. I really didn't want to get out of bed! Excellent hotel.

Had dinner at the opera buffet. Food was great. Ambience was great. Service was excellent. The pasta chef was very efficient and we were eating delicious pasta in no time.

Location had a great view. Food was very good. Our server was very attentive and funny! The opera singing was excellent and a treat. Better than radio music! The pasta cook had a fair amount of options to add for a customized meal. Would highly recommend at least to try the Italian Opera buffet if you have never been before to one. Fun to celebrate a birthday. They sing you happy birthday in opera like fashion!

Had a meeting at the pan Pacific in the crystal ballroom. The room itself is beautiful, we have been there on a few occasions and I really like how it's set up. The hotel provided coffee (Starbucks coffee) and some sweets which were pretty average but appreciated anyway. The chairs were pretty comfortable, if a little old, but given that many places use plastic chairs it's nice to have proper "dining" type chairs used. The hotel is undergoing some renos right now on the escalators and they do not allow you to use the stairs so you're forced to wait for the elevator which isn't great, hence the 4 stars. Overall they do a great job and I've enjoyed the numerous times I've had work events at the pan.

Went for a special anniversary dinner for my aunt and uncle. The restaurant was very nice and had a separate area for our function with a set menu that took into account all allergies at the table. Was a very pleasant experience and I'd recommend it to other people looking to host private functions.

For years I appreciate this hotel since it is located in the middle of the city and also at the same time on the water you have the Stanley Park for jogging and recreation at the door as well as the possibility to explore with seaplanes the closer wonderful surroundings However, you can Car rental in the mountains drive to Whistler or but you can just stay nearby by strolling through the old town of the city or take a shopping trip through the various possible shops.

Is a very nice hotel Dirk on the waterfront. Is my time here and again like.

Met up here for a quiet place to have a meeting. The lobby floor serves that perfectly with a quiet and spacious seating area that gets even better with its gorgeous view of the water and North Vancouver. The inside decor is very attractive and there was also a live musician performing in the restaurant near the meeting area. Will definitely be returning here in the future.

Loved my stay here! It is close to sky train, but there is really no need to venture far from the hotel because everything you could wish for us here. Shops, dining, entertainment. It is wonderful! Despite all the hustle and bustle on the street, it is extremely quiet in the rooms. The beds are comfortable, the water views breathtaking. I loved my stay here!

It's amazing the views from this place. The location is strategic as the tours leave here.

I have stayed at the Pan Pacific several times on business and for pleasure, and they have never failed to disappoint. The rooms are spacious, most views are great, and the amenities in the hotel are unmatched by most in the area. Several restaurants offer fine and casual dining. The hotel is attached to the convention center, and there are events and attractions galore. Be aware that the events can sometimes lead to a very busy atmosphere.

The hotel was booked under my partner's name but I was registered in the booking. We were told I could check in on my own since he was arriving later and when I get to the hotel, they said I wasn't allowed to. They didn't stick to their word and because of that I had to rearrange the rest of my day, which included work commitments. The reception desk staff were super rude and not accommodating whatsoever. My partner called and an hour later they finally let me into the room. We booked a king but they gave us two doubles. One of the nights we ordered room service — the food was cold and dry and bland. For a hotel that's supposed be of high standards and quality, it was definitely a let down. Won't be going there again. On a good note though, the bellhops were really nice and helpful.

We celebrated a special occasion and stayed in a Pacific Club concierge level room for one night. The staff were fantastic. They had a small box of chocolates waiting for us upon arrival. Our room was clean, modern, and luxurious. It had a great view of the east part of the harbour. The Pacific Club lounge had an even more spectacular view, delicious baked goodies like scones with clotted cream and freshly baked cookies, as well as canapés in the evening and a solid breakfast buffet.

Pretty nice, overall. Drink specials, friendly staff, bag service, umbrellas and bikes. Nice lobby. Room had a sliding door that did not close completely, causing us to hear noise all night and have to crank up the heat. We closed the blinds to help. King size bed. One soap in the bathroom. We would stay here again if the price is good. Central location very close to the harbour.

Everything from valet to view and all that's in between, location, transit all minutes away everything for everyone a truly delightful experience I will go back or recommend highly.

Old hotel but still has its charms. The go to for conferences and spa utopia. Great views, and restaurant inside is not bad and location is close to transit — skytrain and Canada line. There is also plenty of coffee shops and restaurants for meetings.

Really enjoyed my stay here, including he Pacific Vliub lounge access, which provides a great view over breakfast. Rate was a bit steep but to be expected for this area in September. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful view! Ideally located.

This is an amazing hotel with a premium price tag to justify it. They have an excellent restaurant in the building. Staff provide concierge level service even at the room cleaning level. There is easy access to the spa and most of the downtown core from this area. There is a restaurant with excellent views in the building. There is also a rooftop pool that is fantastic. Valet parking is pricey but can be included if you are a points member.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Pan Pacific while visiting Vancouver in Aug/Sep 2017. We found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating throughout our visit. The location is just superb… very centrally located within walking/biking distance to most activities that you'll want to do and free shuttles available for the ones that are a little further out. The views were amazing and we loved watching the cruise ships come in. The rooms were just a bit outdated, but still clean and perfectly nice. Our original room at check-in had a pretty horrible view… a quick call to the manager and he had us in a view overlooking the pool and harbor… very customer oriented staff! We had an excellent stay at this hotel and would happily stay here on future Vancouver visits.

Extremely well laid out room with beautiful views. Bathroom was very clean with really good water temperature and pressure. Plenty of storage space in the room which is always a good thing, especially for long stays like this one (10 nights). Staff was friendly and professional throughout. Didn't use any of the restaurants so can't comment on them. Suggested areas for improvement: — Wi-Fi should be free and bandwidth should be significantly improved. I was able to only use one device at a time either laptop or phone but not both. — Noise levels could reduced further in guest rooms.

Vancouver Pan Pacific Hotel was one if the jewels of Expo 86. Walking in today you wouldn't guess this hotel is 31 years old. Aesthetically pleasing it is a beautiful design with open spaces, shopping concourse, beautiful views of the harbour, well appointed meeting rooms, and a top notch restaurant serving a variety of menu options. The atmosphere is excellent, the facilities well maintained, the staff attentive and the experience pleasant. I would recommend exploring the many facets if the waterfront gem, it will meet or exceed your expectations as a hotel, conference centre, or place to relax and eat.

Had a wonderful time before and after our cruise. It was expensive but most of the hotels close to the water are. We were willing to pay more for the ability to walk to our ship without leaving the hotel! However the price reflects that convenience and I would only return if cruising. The rooms are very nice and we had a killer view. The location is close to everything. If you want to take the train from the airport it drops you right there. The hop on hop off trolley is right in front. It seems to be the hub of all meeting places and walking distance to gas town. We arrived at 10am both before and after our trip and were allowed in our room with no pre-arrangements. We and an absolutely wonderful beginning and end to our cruise at Pan Pacific!

The hotel was amazing! The staff was very welcoming and hospitable. They were eager to help, when needed. The room itself was spacious and comfortable. The location was right in the middle of everything and had easy walking access to anywhere we wanted to go.

The room was luxurious, with a wonderful view of the mountains and the sea. The service is excellent and the breakfast very plentiful. We will return with pleasure.

Hotel agreeable well situated. On the side of the city center, a two minute walk from the train that comes and goes from the airport. 35 minutes walk from Stanley Park.

Excellent food and staff.

Lovely hotel right on the harbour. We upgraded to a corner harbour view room and the view was amazing. We had a balcony but the door was locked-we did ask about this but was advised it could not be opened which was disappointing. We opted for room service one night and the portions were very good. We had a somewhat moving experience when we stayed last year when we had an earthquake which was a little scary. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Just, wow. Fancy AF. So expensive though! Like, 30$ a person just for the breakfast buffet. Also, there was a security spook standing around at breakfast, suspected apple employees in the building, or, some other important paranoid people. But, if you are looking for a 5 star hotel, I think this could fit the bill, if you are willing to pay the price.

Beautiful hotel. Excellent service. Food in the restaurants and banquet setting was wonderful. Very impressive. It's not cheap but it is sweet.

Went to the cafe on the lobby floor for drinks. Sat where we wanted and service was prompt in showing up to our table. Did take a bit of time to wave someone down at the end when looking to pay but otherwise everything went well.

For years, I guess this hotel because it in the middle of the city and at the same time on the water it is has the Stanley Park for jogging and for recreation on the doorstep as well as one with the car in the mountains go to Whistler the opportunity with seaplanes which nevertheless can wonderful surroundings to explore or but you can stay close to just stroll through the old town Gastown admire or but one shopping trip through the various possible shops make.

Beautiful room with a gorgeous view. Hotel was perfect in almost every sense except for the pillows. The pillows ruined my sleep, but hardly worth complaining about.

Stayed one night on short notice. The staff is very professional. It was our 30th anniversary and they provided little and big extras. Upgrades room some how got us a reservation for dinner when it was sold out. Dinner buffet with opera singers. Food so good I ate way to much. The opera singers sang happy anniversary to us. Outdated, non-personal, empty hotel. I would NOT recommend staying here what so ever. The rooms are extremely overpriced for what they are. I booked a Deluxe Harbour view room for 3 nights and was massively disappointed. As a kid I'd walk by here and think that one day I would stay here… finally I did and it was a huge let down. This hotel needs an EXTREME make over. For this price is actually embarrassing. Parking is outrageous too at $42 a night… Never again will I stay here.

I volunteered on Feb 25th 2016, Small Business BC Awards. I really liked the place, it was like a giant shopping mall + cruise ship style next to the ocean. The structure was magnificent. Ocean view suits, crystal room and boardroom were really beautiful didn't disappoint me. Banquet people were just awesome and so chilling and enjoying the event networking too, food quality was nice and haha restrooms, you can find most of the time with ease. Our closet door was broken. Someone came to fix it but it would move much. The towels and robe were very soft. The gym is nice, but could use yoga mats. Buffet was yummy.

We stayed 3 nights. It's in a great location and our room on the 14th floor had a fantastic view. The swimming pool was beautiful but the hot tub was gross and cloudy so we avoided it. Staff were nice enough and helpful but other than the building nothing struck out to me to be above average and worth a premium.

Great service with panaromic views of North Vancouver. Staff is really friendly. The swimming pool is open air giving you a opportunity to reminisce in natural beauty.

Went here for business. The WiFI worked really well. I was able to stream items in my room. If I got too far away from the hallway (i. E. Over by the window) the Wi-Fi struggled a little bit. Views out the window were pretty awesome. Great location downtown easy walking distance from pretty much everything. Nice to be right on Port Metro Vancouver to enjoy the ships coming and going.

The room was beautiful, and the water views were breathtaking. Our room overlooked the harbour and Stanley Parn. Check-in and check-out service was friendly and efficient. It truly made our one year anniversary extra special.

Great service, staff was attentive to detail. Rooms were new and up to date with the latest technology. The beds were very comfortable. One thing I must say is that the pillows were too soft as I am a side sleeper, which the pillows didn't offer too much support for my neck. Overall good experience.

The only reason I'm not giving this hotel 5 stars is because I don't think that any hotel room is worth what I payed. Since you never really stay in the hotel room the WHOLE time, I feel like its a waste. The parking was crazy expensive for vallet. Other than that, the place was amazing. Clean, comfy, amazing views, close to gastown pubs and restaurants. Right on the water. If you can afford it, go for it. At least stay here for one night if you visit vancouver. It is truely an experience.

What a great location, fantastic views of the harbor, mountains and cruise ships coming in and out of the harbor. This probably one of the finest hotels that we have stayed in for a long time. Nice well appointed rooms, great beds and shower. Service is absolutely the best with a shout out to the Bell Captain, Phil who explained the area, how to get on the cruise ship and where to eat. This is the hotel you want to stay at if you are boarding a cruise ship, they are right down stairs! Your luggage will be taken from the room to the ship by the hotel. What a nice convenience. We took at taxi from the airport to the hotel which is about 45 minutes. It's not that far, but going through town takes quite a while with traffic and the lights. You can walk around the piers, watch the seaplanes come and go, eat, drink, shop, rest, it's all right there.

Great view (if you are on the harbour side, the city side sucks. Basically looking right at the hotel next door), comfortable rooms, and centrally located. This is a fairly big hotel as its above a conference center and part of the cruise terminal. I did not like the fact that you had to go out to the parking lot to get to the gym. Internet was a bit slow as well. Service was good though and the rooms were large and comfortable.

We stayed at the Pan Pacific for two night 12/24th and 12/25th. There were lots vacant rooms because it's Christmas. Well, we could see the building from the pool at night. The hotel rooms were average. Then there are all the extra charges for everything. Parking, Internet are extra and outrageously priced For a hotel that expensive. The sound proofing between the rooms was terrible — we could hear every word from the next room and doors slamming every few mins. We were wondering why they had to put a few guests right next to each other when there were so many vacant rooms, so it easier for housekeeping. If prices are high then I expect service to compliment it and on this occasion it didn't.

Couldn't get enough of the stunning views of the bay and mountains beyond from our spacious room. Made good use of the heated outside pool on the terrace. Well located near to bars and restaurants and not too far from Stanley park. Not to mention the nearby subway station that brought us straight from the airport.

PROS: Arguably the best location for a hotel in Vancouver. Close to everything, including restaurants, shops, bike rentals, food court, Starbucks, boardwalk, all within a block. Upscale place with fine surroundings everywhere. Nice outdoor pool/hot tub area on terrace with panoramic view. On edge of the bay with seaplanes, beautiful mountains, cruise ships. CONS: Valet parking outrageous (over $40 per night). A bit hectic area as the building is shared with a convention center. OVERALL: Unbeatable location, upscale hotel, nice indoors and outdoors.

This is a nice hotel but I would not consider it a 5 star hotel by any means. 4 star is about right. The beds were so comfortable and the pool deck was kindof a nice touch. The city view was pretty dull but for the $150 I paid on Hotwire it was appropriate. I would feel bad if I paid more than that for this room. Awesome location by a bunch of bars close by. Overall very happy with our stay.
