I love the suite, our view from my room is gorgeous, but, I Phoned to reserve an item 2 days before we came and did not get it, disappointing indeed.

Hotel very well located, walking distance to several restaurants, grocery store, liquor store, etc. Very courteous staff and good breakfast included with the room, choice between continental or American style lunch. Large clean room although the decoration would need a small "refresh". In short, very satisfied for the price!

Very friendly and kind, front desk is helpful, beds are sooo comfy.

Excellent service, starting at check in. Very accommodating with check in times, which made our day even better. Enjoyed a fabulous dinner at C Prime restaurant. Our server Judy and her team mate Matthew went out of their way to make our dinner a wonderful experience. We had such a great time and the food was delicious. My husband had their prime rib, which was cooked to perfection. He also enjoyed the chocolate mousse cakes with salted caramel so much, that next time he thinks he may have two! Judy and Matthew made a big deal of the fact that we were celebrating my husband’s birthday and his dessert came out with sparklers and song. Finishing off our stay with a one hour massage at the Absolute Spa. What a great get away.

The king bed suit is very comfortable & well appointed, food in the hotel restaurant is fantastic & delicious, foyer coffee shop excellent illy coffee served, heated pool & eucalyptus sauna very relaxing. Staff are awesome & very friendly & welcoming.

Well the Hotel stay in the room was okay, Hotel is a bit dated but over all ok… the staff (mostly cleaning) were good… My son and I stayed for 8 days in this Hotel. But let's discuss them not taking any responsibility for my vehicle getting broke into (nothing stolen but extensive damage done) … not once but twice in a two day spam in their LOCKED GATED PARKING GARAGE, They do not want to own upto taking any responsibility in any way! They said the garage is not their problem it is a parking company's… they are only responsible for what happens inside the hotel, "so I asked him if someone was breaking into one of their rooms are they not responsible for it? " the Manager Samer said yes they are responsible for what happens inside the hotel but not in the parking garage, yet we use the exact same key to get in our rooms as we do the garage… therefore I think they should be held responsible! I am not at all happy with their lack of professionalism here on not taking responsibility. So now I have to pay out of my pocket an amount that costs more than what my room was… for my vehicle damage… its complete BS!

Amazing staff, extremely helpful! My mother needs an escort anywhere she goes, and the staff did everything in their power to accommodate her and her needs, if I could give more than 5 stars I would.

Travelled from north east bc with 2 children age 8. Our room was perfect! The kitchenette served us very well. The cleaning lady (bless her heart) left more than enough towels etc without being asked. We have stayed here a few other times in past years and will continue.

Absolutely wonderful hotel. I stayed here for a full week and loved coming back to this hotel every night. The rooms are clean and big, with lots of space for luggage and whatever else you need. Upon check-in, I was given coupons for the spa and the restaurant. I used the spa coupon and got a massage, which was incredible. The service here was great, all across the board. From check in to the spa to the restaurant to the cafe to the housekeeping staff — everyone I met was kind and professional. I would definitely stay here again next time I’m in Vancouver.

There for a wedding of some very wonderful people. The food was impeccable, service astounding. The staff were efficient in their work.

Absolutely astonished after going through the whole booking process to book a high end suite that I was declined a room reservation for a wedding event because I would not be able to put a deposit on a credit card. I offered to pay $500 (when their deposit is only $200) cash down and said they were welcome to check the room for damage on check out but I was still unable to book a room. Pretty disappointed as this was supposed to be a place for us to crash with our young son after working a wedding late into the night. Wouldn’t recommend booking here in the future.

Having spent 4 days at this hotel for the second year running, I can honesty say that it's well worth a visit. The staff couldn't do enough for us, always polite and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We ate in there fantastic restaurant, we had Jeanette as our waitress and I must say I have never known a more attentive, lovely, knowledgeable, and friendly person. She is a credit to the hotel. Plus the food is amazing we had steak and it was cooked to perfection. We want to say a huge thankyou for making our stay in vancouver perfect. We will definitely be using your hotel again when we next visit.

Booked 4 nights arrived a bit early 10am expecting to leave our bags and sight see a few hours but they had a room ready for us. Also upgraded to a suite. Comfortable and clean staff are friendly and helpful would stay again and recommend to anyone. Also room rates a bit cheaper than other hotels with same amenities.

We stayed in April and the experience was great. The initial staff that greeted us at our car was almost too friendly haha. They upgraded our room without me having to pay for it. We got a room with a little kitchen which was cool. The pool and gym area isn’t terribly nice, and the hotel is a little older, but the food voucher we got was excellent. The food was great, but we only did breakfast. Location is perfect walking distance from a lot of neat areas. We stayed on the 17th floor and the view was great. We’d stay again!

Wonderful customer service. Friendly and accommodating. I loved the view from the 9th floor. Sorry to say, there were stains on the carpets, the bath tub drained slow and the bed could have been more comfortable. Over all… a very nice stay :)

Location on Burrard and close to Robson St shops is great however our stay was ruined right at check-in by 'Doug'. We booked several rooms and he blamed us for booking incorrectly when he couldn't find our reservation. After 20 min of checking, we were the ones that noticed that Doug pulled up the wrong reservation under another name that doesn't even remotely resemble our own. No apologies from Doug when he eventually realized his error. Then when we went up to our room, our key cards didn't work. The AC in our room broke. The list goes on… We complained to the manager and did receive an apology and a discount to our rate. Management was also surprised since Doug is a 15 yr veteran of the hotel but he did not follow protocol and asked for the guest's ID upon check-in. Thank goodness that the location is great and the size of the rooms are family-sized with a kitchenette. But No free breakfast and older amenities.

I booked this hotel with only 1 hour's notice after seeing the horrible room and surroundings at the Budget inn Patricia Hotel and deciding I couldn't stay there. It was such a relief to come to the huge, roomy, clean hotel room here, with a little kitchenette, dining area and sofa. It isn't the cheapest hotel, but it is very worth it for the great rooms, good service, but most of all, FANTASTIC location. I'd definitely stay again. They do a great eggs Benedict room service breakfast, and the beds are the comfiest I've ever slept in.

Hotel is very central of much of the city, makes it easy to walk to many different parts of the town. Although, it is about a 15 minute walk from either of the two closest Sky train stations. Hotel is very clean and has a nice coffee shop in the lobby. Indoor pool is a little dull looking in the basement of the hotel and a bit hidden.

Amazing staff, friendly and there for their guests at the drop of a hat! Not the fanciest rooms, but super clean and definitely everything a person needs to be comfortable while away from home. The beds are probably the most comfortable we have seen in a hotel. We will not stay anywhere else while in Vancouver! Highly recommend!

I have to give the Hotel a 2 star from what I used to think was a good 4.5 star place to stay! We were greeted by very friendly staff, the problems we experienced this past Easter weekend were due to the level of clean in our room! Stayed in room 1807 a king suite. Well the room had filthy carpets that looked to be in need of shampooing, the tank on the toilet leaked all over the bathroom floor so had to keep throwing towels down to catch it, the toilet looked like it had not had a good clean in a while, dirty grout around the tiles in the tub, lastly the glass door windows were so dirty you could hardly see out when the sun was shining. If I wanted to sit and relax and look at dirty windows? I could have done that at home not for $200.00 a night! Will think twice about going back unless we can be guaranteed cleaner rooms. ; (

Nice and big room. Very clean. Access to the pool and the gym. Great location For the price it was very good.

From loud sirens and kids running the halls to fire alarms being pulled, it wasn't a restful stay. The location next to the hospital is good if you have someone there. The room was decent but has poor soundproofing. The hotel would benefit from a major update including better windows and doors.

The rooms have not been updated to match the lobby, however I enjoyed my stay none the less! While the rooms were a little dated, they were spacious and came with a kitchenette. We did not have any noise problems and the beds were comfy. In the morning, we had a problem with our towels, a needle and thread had found its way woven in. The manager apologized, spoke with housekeeping and comped all of our food because our room was paid for by a third party. I was very pleased with how the situation was handled. No one was hurt and mistakes happen. Would stay here again. Location was excellent.

Very nice hotel. The room I stayed in was comfortable with a great view of the city. Only stayed one night so I did not visit the pool or the spa. The C Prime restaurant is a little on the expensive side but worth it, the food is really good.

Excellent service. They accommodated specific room request despite being near capacity and responded promptly to an issue we had in the room. The room service was decent for breakfast and well priced. Will definitely stay again.

Great service, the staff are quite nice. The atmosphere when you walk in is really beautiful and calming. There is a scent of tea tree oil wofting through the air from the spa. Rooms are nice and have good views. I will say the water took far too long to heat up for my shower though!

If I had the option of rating it lower than one star I would have. This is the worst hotel you could ever stay. Don't waste your time or money on this hotel. The rooms are dirty and old. Seems like they have spent enough money to renovate the lobby to make it look like a decent hotel but once you are in the rooms it is a different story. All the rooms are old, carpets are dirty, holes in the walls, not sound proof at all considering it is right beside a hospital. And the staff does not care if you have any concerns.

Good location, very good facilities.

I love it, there is a nice view to the pier from my room, the airport picks you up in limousine! It has refrigerator, toaster, dishes, TV, heating, cutlery, etcetc.

Staff were all great! The rooms are pretty good. Beds could be more comfortable for sure. Water pressure in shower could also be better. Good value for Vancouver. We had a fun weekend and would love to come again! My wife had a great massage at the Spa.

Stayed here 5night. I wanted to have higher level room but they said depends on booking site they can give high level. So so frustrated about that. Because even I booked via 3rd party, it wasn’t low price. Anyway except that, room condition was good and swimming pool was nice. The best of this hotel is location for sure.

The lobby is relatively nice, the rooms are typically American, the hotel does not look so great from the outside, but from the inside it goes. The most important thing, the WLAN:), is as far as I remember relatively quickly. However, you always had to register again. The location of the hotel is very good.

Always stay here when visiting Vancouver. Location is perfect. Can walk everywhere! and the hotel itself is beautiful. The rooms are spacious and its so cheap! Coming back to Vancouver in Dec and will definitely be staying there.

The staff is nice, and we got an upgrade to a room with a living room. The accommodations are dated and the layout of the room is funky making it hard to not have your suitcase and luggage everywhere. They need more drawers and Outlets. Overall, a good hotel in a great location.

We came a few years ago and felt that the room we got back then was much nicer and cleaner than the one we got this time. Reviews seem to have gone down since a few years ago as well. Still a good location in general.

Great views, affordable, awesome to find a hotel that has such spacious rooms at the price point plus a full kitchen! Everything was clean and the housekeeping was attentive. Dated decor. I've heard good things about the restaurant but have not eaten there. A modest hotel but well done.

My wife & I had recently spent 15 nights here at Century Plaza, we had a fantastic time at the hotel. All the staff including Gerry the great concierge who helped us in so many ways, myself being a wheelchair user found this place so easily accessible & so central to walking distance to a lot of some great stores & sights. We were there 13 years before also on our honeymoon & we were there this time round to celebrate our anniversary & my special birthday — we intend on going there again in 2 years. Fantastic memories made!

Enjoyed a one night stay at the Century Plaza. Along with dinner and breakfast at the C prime restaurant. Which was amazing all was great. The lamb was incredible. My mushroom risotto was fantastic. I ate it so slowly savouring every bit. My gf just about ate the bone from her lamb :p. Room was nice 28th floor. View was nice didn't get a chance to enjoy the pool. But was happy to be there and would stay again.

Good hotel in the heart of the city of Netter Service.

Staff are amazing. Very kind and thoughtful. Restaurant was good. Scallops were fantastic. Good Happy Hour. Rooms are clean and a bit outdated (at least ours was). Overall a good stay.

Worst hotel. Terrible rooms and service. Utter chaos. Don't waste your money.

We stayed here for one night upon arriving in Vancouver, before setting off up the coast. Staff are friendly and attentive. Our room was very big, clean and had tea and coffee facilities, fridge and safe. We ate in the restraunt which was lovely. Food was good quality and reasonably priced, as were drinks.

Located in downtown, convenient location clean and big rooms, suite styled with kitchenettes, friendly staff. Pool is very old nut clean, lovely sauna area. Con is that the water (shower) runs cold after 12am.

The room was tired and dirty had to ask to change rooms. Only plus side was restaurant, reception area and staff lovely. Manager was very apologetic over the condition of the room and was immediately on it when and I asked for an alternative room.

Really nice hotel in a great location in downtown Vancouver. About a 10 minute walk from the Skytrain from the airport. Many good restaurants within walking distance. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean, modern and spacious. Would stay here again if in Vancouver.

I have had a great stay at the Century Plaza. The location is perfect for Vancouver and the service is great. There is also free Wi-Fi with a router in each room.

The entrance to the hotel is lovely. We were told we were upgraded to a suite which was great but the room is very tired. The curtains have some damage to them, the walls need some freshening as does the carpet. The shower is dated and the bathroom small. There is also a distinct lack of storage space for such a large room.

Excellent location. Excellent service! Comfy bed. Will be back for sure!

The experience has been very pleasant so far. The bartender last night was delightful and charming and the comedy club was unexpectedly funny! Would stay here again!

We were a few years 2 x 2 nights before and after a tour of the camper in the cp before eon. Absolutely inexpensive, capable top, service very friendly and obliging. Restaurant nice, great wines and breakfast! All in all more likely 4 than 3 *!

Convenient location — have stayed with these folks when I have had procedures done at St. Paul's Hospital (practically next door). Older building, but still has grace.

Hotel is not bad. We booked a queen bed and ended up getting two double beds, not the end of the world, but a little annoying. Bathroom had a weird smell to it.

Although a nice spacious room and all I did not like the fact that I asked for a top floor way in advance and got two floors down from top and I even asked at check in if top floor and she said YES and upon getting in elevator and math… floor 27 is not top, 29 is! I did not want to go back and start again! Plus I asked how much parking was in advance and the GM said 17 dollars and never mentioned PLUS tax and taxes came to 4 extra dollars more AND change! Almost 22 dollars now! Felt duped and the GM was not honest with me! He responded on my Expedia review and did not seem to care much at all! Not good service at all here! ) : Just like to do add ons and rip people off!

Renovated older building. Friendly staff. Great location. Can be noisy due to proximity to hospital across the street. Great view of the Sheraton.

The room was nice, the location good, the staff polite and helpful, and the rate low (especially if you stay long enough to take advantage of the weekly rate). I didn't try the spa or restaurant.

SPA Facilities are great and staff are generally courteous. However beware the massage therapists they charge a hefty price but will cut time short. I left feeling jipped.

Every time we stay here, it's nothing but the best service. The rooms are always in prestige condition. Let's not forget that view either!

We booked the perfect gift spa package and enjoyed complimentary limo service and a beautiful penthouse suite. They made our 9th anniversary a memorable one.

Nice place just a bit loud with all down town traffic but this is Vancouver lol.

Travelling with a small child. Booked room in advance. Tuesday we were supposed to check-in. On Monday we got an email telling us they were no longer going to honour our reservation. No other hotels in the area were available, we ended up having to find a rental car, book another hotel, buy a booster seat, modify my insurance policy and explain to a young child why we were no longer going to be staying in the place he had looked forward to so much. I guess someone offered more money for the same room? Whatever the reason, as a business owner I couldn't get away with treating my clients this way — it may be legal but to me it's both unethical and unprofessional. Will never stay here in the future and would suggest anyone who cares about the treatment of individuals by large corporations, votes with their wallets and tells Century Plaza that respecting people is both the right thing to do and good business policy.

Great place, great service.

Recently we stayed at Century Plaza hotel and our baby went into medical distress. Within 1 minute of dialing 911 there was a wonderful member of the hotel staff in our room with an AED. Though the AED was not required at the time we could not have been more grateful for his presence and to the entire hotel staff who effortlessly coordinated quick access for the paramedics to our 17th floor room. I cannot say enough good things about the staff at this hotel and wish I had gotten a chance to properly thank them in person. Your quick response helped two very worried parents focus solely on our child at a difficult time. Thank you thank you thank you.

AWFUL! STAY AWAY! We booked 2 rooms on the same floor, and upon confirmation we were told check in was at 3pm. We get there shortly before 3pm, and we're told "check in is AROUND 3pm. " Ooook. Well I suppose we'll wait. For 40 minutes. To get into the first room. We had to wait an extra 30 minutes to get into the second room. (quick backstory. We were 2 small families, with 2 toddlers, who needed naps, at 3:15. We had to put the kids down in the room and LITERALLY hang out in the hallway waiting for the second room to be ready) We were trying to voice our concerns with the hotel manager/shift manager (not sure which) and not only would he not leave his desk to speak to us face-to-face, he seemed to be offended at the very notion that we weren't happy with the situation. Anyone who has been here will know about the absurdly slow elevators (of which there are 4, but never more than 2 running. ) we mentioned the elevators to him, and our many conversations with other frustrated hotel patrons as we waited between 5-15 minutes at a time for an elevator. And he was incredibly rude and sarcastic when telling us to take it up with the owner of the building. Really. Customer service! You get what you pay for. If you enjoy snippy sarcastic service, waiting forever everytime you want to use an elevator, and checking in +/ — an HOUR of your confirmed time, by all means, book this place. I wish I stayed home.

We got married in Vancouver during the first week of July. Our out of town guests all stayed together at the Century Plaza and without exception the reviews were exceptional. The staff are amazing, and by amazing I mean world-class. Simple things like room service and valet are carried out by true professionals. It is something to experience. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. The rooms are redone, to the point of being luxurious. The bathrooms are elegant, and the views, regardless of the facing are as good as you can find in Vancouver. Room prices are excellent for the quality of the accommodation. The hotel was able to secure us entire floors to allow us to mingle and not disturb the other guests, and we truly felt that they ALL felt happy to have us stay with them during our celebration. Bottom line : This is an exceptional hotel and a relatively unknown jewel in Vancouver. I have been lucky enough to travel extensively, and many MANY hotels around the world could learn from the staff at the Century Plaza. You are doing yourself a disservice by not looking at this prime location hotel for any stay to Vancouver. We also had a small get together on the Friday night prior to our wedding at Borders Restaurant in the lobby. If you do take my advice and stay at the Century Plaza, try the pizza at Borders. Excellent. (And the draft lines are among the cleanest and coldest I've tasted at a hotel bar, which is something I know a little about.

I just stayed at the Century Plaza this week and I think it was the best place I've ever stayed in Vancouver. The price is much less than most places downtown and I found the service to be excellent. The food is excellent. The prices in the bar are reasonable. Everybody who works there is extremely friendly. (and genuine friendliness, not the usual fake friendliness you normally encounter at most places). The young fellow who is the doorman at the front door was very polite, funny and terrific. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. Even the cleaning lady on my floor was engaging, talkative, warm and just a pleasure to chat with. The room was huge, clean and comfortable. I was extremely impressed and will definitely stay there again next time I'm in town. I highly recommend this hotel. Ted Butler.

I was there with friends in celebration of our friend getting married, a little bridal shower mani-pedi with the girls. It was fantastic! From start to finish, the were very good at handling a group of women, and it was extra special to all be able to get treatments in the same room, so we could talk and share wedding stories. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a top-notch experience.

Good location, close to bus and train (10min to the Skytrain). Suite excellent for families with two children. Solid American standard with an acceptable price (through Expedia. De booked).
