very nice Clean, quiet Hotel.

It was a good hotel. Clean. Service was excellent. Newer built or renovated room. Aside being set up in an a joining part of hotel. It was good.
But if you’re staying, take a room on west side of hotel. The east side is the side of a busy Main Street. Lot of traffic.

Loves this hotel. Staffs are very kind and helpful.

If you’ve travelled from a distance and need rest and sleep; do not stay here! Right from the entrance you can see it’s not clean! The doors to the rooms have no sound barrier, you hear every noise! Not a very happy camper!

There rooms are clean, and it’s location is close to a mall/ shopping centre/

T. V. In room not working. Moved to another room, bedframe falling apart. Fixed it myself. Otherwise, staff were excellent.

The pillows are not at all good. Definitely too soft, too flimsy and basically feel like nothing unless you roll them. But everything else about the hotel is good! Worth staying at as their prices are good, close to downtown, and dog friendly.

We recently stayed at the above Chateau Nova for 10 days while attending our granddaughters wedding. We were told and signed that this was a non smoking hotel and we would be charged if we smoked in our room. On the the night before we were leaving we were returning to our room and the entire 4th floor stunk with cigarette smoke when we went to the front desk they said they would look into but did not know what they could do. Next morning as we were leaving the hallway still stunk of cigarettes and you could see the cloud of smoke lingering in the air. We again mentioned it upon check-out and were told they could not do anything, this is ridiculous as everyone had to sign the smoke free policy. This room is now no longer a non smoking and that is also breaking the provincial law that all hotels and motels are no smoking so anyone that has booked or are thinking about using this hotel be aware that they do indeed allow smoking in the rooms and that is not acceptable. We will never use this chain again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Chateau Nova Kingsway. It was very clean and comfortable. Plus the food was excellent. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay.

The hotel pet friendly staff amazing from front desk to housekeeping positive attitude. The hotel was fairly new rooms spacious and cost is fair.

This is a clean & classy hotel. They offer suites where people can live Comfortably. The kitchenette impressed me. People from the north often stay here. Especially if they are in town for medical reasons.

We use the Nova for meetings. It's nice to save some money on the conference room and we do when we go here!

Stay was average. Bathroom looked old and out dated. Toilet was one of those hold for five minute flush. Loved the bartender real fun guy. Second seperate occasion I came back. Bath tub wasn't draining properly due to it being full of hair. It got fixed the next day. Toilet is a low flow so I have to flush more than once sometimes. Rooms are pretty warm despite AC constantly running but I guess that's the way it is.

One of my favorite hotel chains. The owners are great, approachable and true community supporters. Always book my board and volunteers there. Their catering staff are fabulous when it comes to allergies.

Thank-you everyone here at the Nova, My stay here is absolutely wonderful… Breakfast everyday is the best and the cook and the waitresses are so nice too… just a wonderful place.

We are here once a month for our BNI meetings, this a great place, the food is very good too! win win!

Rooms are great, comfortable and clean. Front desk staff very unhelpful and not accommodating. Repeated calls to the front desk for service and never received help.

The staff at night were useless, spent 30 mins trying to find my online reservation without saying a word to me about what the issue was. Room was dirty garbage in it, stained towels and yellow stained sheets, compared to the Nova yellowhead this place was horrible.

The front desk staff was awful. Very rude & not helpful. I will NEVER stay here again. All the information in their information binder is incorrect. Very unprofessional staff. And our room is freezing, cannot control temperature. Worst place I've ever stayed, not welcoming at all.

Good central location, clean above average rooms and service was satisfactory, not bad but not exceptional. Everything you need is within a reasonable distance. I would stay again.

When I walked in the Lobby was clean and the staff greeted me with a smile. I had accidently went to the wrong hotel for a Corporate event however the staff abliged and let me know where my destination was. Very helpful and if I didn't think about staying there before now I will.

We loved the stay here the staff was understanding, the food was great, and the rooms are nice and clean. We thank the staff for the respectful people they are. We hope to stay here again and I would recommend this place to other people too.

The first stay I was here for 5 days the room was clean and the service was great but never ate at the restaurant so can't say anything about it. However I am back again for 5 days and my room has stains all over the floors, the table and chairs are so abused they can hardly stay standing, lights burned out, and more just sad to be paying for this mess. The worst about this hotel is the drunk and high people here the elevator stinks like pot, and there are drunks yelling in rooms and halls. This is 100% NOT a family hotel you stay here because you have too… The staff that I have delt with thus far has been great from cleaning personnel to front desk.

This hotel charges you in US dollars and if you have to cancel then they credit you in US dollars. Because of exchange rate I lost almost $200 because I had to cancel 3 rooms as a training event got cancelled. Unbeleivable that a hotel in a capital canadian city would use US dollars. Go to best western or sandman, they respect and value you as a customer either for business or pleasure.

This is a great hotel. Wonderful service, no bedbugs, rooms are extremely clean and tidy. Some other reviewers just like to cause trouble, I guess.

Good hotel. Comfortable room for a family. Small kitchen to prepare meals.

My stay is not over yet but so far so good. We were able to check in early. Staff is friendly enough. There are minor aesthetic problems. I love having the kitchenette so I can cook for my family and not have to eat out too much. Plenty of attractions nearby and only a 20 minute drive from West Edmonton Mall.

Great staff, great location. Rooms need some TLC though (cover on our table was peeling off, several rust/chipped paint spot throughout the room) but solid stay overall.

Fantastic, friendly staff, and they do everything within their power to make you feel like you're at home. Good rooms, always clean, great food that is reasonably priced. I spent 6 weeks here, and would definitely come back!

Very friendly staff. Housekeeping did a great job. Comfy beds and a good sized room. Good menu in the restaurant. Lots of parking.

The lady behind the counter was friendly but I kind of felt that because I was a WCB customer, I was treated differently. Several people checked in in front of me and all WCB customers were put in the annex (separate building at the other end of the parking lot) while everyone else was put into the main building. The room had the A. C. Blasting and the remote for the TV only worked once every 2000 clicks or so. Ended up just taking a shower and falling asleep to whatever the TV was stuck on. Also missed breakfast because no one told me about it until 2 minutes before it was done, while I was checking out.

Nice place, not bad breakfast. Toilet paper was a little too far for my liking though. Obviously no fault of staff or management, just poor design. Hotel itself is in a good location though.

As all way a great place to stay. Normally but I had one request To have join rooms or next each other. As I was visiting my great grandson. New born. The parent had there rooms we had ours. There room was on the Second floor 240 Our was on the fourth floor. 430. Was not a good thing when you have problems walking.

Got a good group rate for the Kaleido festival and was happy with my stay. The staff were all incredibly friendly and accommodating and the rooms and beds were quite comfortable. The hotel breakfast was on the disappointing side and some parts of the hotel (especially the elevators) weren't very clean. Still a positive experience on the whole, mainly due to the staff.

Edit to Review: I raised my score from 3-stars to 5-stars after having additional dealings with the staff. The staff here is amazing, extremely friendly, and helpful. The staff raises this place from and average everyday hotel to one of the best in Edmonton. It is also nice to be close/easy drive to all of Edmonton. Clean and odor free, the most important thing. The beds grew on my with time, I'm very fussy about my bed due to injuries. They give a great selection of different pillow types from flat to fat, so you can find one that works for you. The lounge is excellent, staff is super friendly and helpful. The selection of beer is okay with some wonderful local brews. I enjoy the Yellowhead. The lounge has fantastic specials every night of the week. The apple pie is amazing. Within walking distance of Millard Health Centre, even for people that don't walk very well. Staff was friendly.

They were very friendly and welcoming. Rooms were nicely furnished and cozy. It is an easy location to get to with lots of parking.

The stay was very enjoyable. The staff is really nice, the room was comfortable and well decorated. However the best part of the hotel was the resteraunt and the food. I had the Filipino Style Pork and it defied all expectations. Our waitress and the hostess were both very kind and welcoming. Highly recommend this hotel.

Ive attend a number of business events at the Chateau Nova on Kingsway. They lunch served has been good quite consistently. The large meeting room is able to accommodate 100+ guests comfortably however there are a number of pillars on the room that could impede presentations/speakers depending on the orientation.

I didn't hate the place… didn't love it either. Some rooms are quite dirty and of disrepair, and not very nice at all. After speaking with the mngr. I was transferred to another room, one that was already upgraded and of much better livability. Some rooms apparently have not been upgraded yet, so watch for that. Another plus, was dealing with the very accommodating staff whom went out of their way to make me feel welcome and cared about my stay.

We had a terrible stay. BED BUG INFESTATION! SERIOUSLY! STAY AWAY! Still itching, had to discard all our clothes. Also front desk are super rude and there is a lot of questionalble quests that stay there.

Visited the hotel with some people doing whatever they can to help Fort McMurray evacuees. The hotel appears to be supporting and assisting their efforts. They deserve praise for doing what they can to help.

Just had our event recently and we would like to thank Chateau Nova Kingsway, especially Ms. Honey Lanuza and Mr. Randolf Robillos, for their great service, for making our wedding an event so special to remember. Our guests were all giving us positive feedbacks on how they liked the food, so tasteful. We got an overflowing thumbs up, and we want to share all the thumbs up and credit the staff of Chateau Nova Kingsway. Food, service and set up are great, excellent, awesome job guys! I always believe that the success of the event is evident on the positive responses of the guests. Everybody expressed their delight and really fun experiences. Clean rooms … when not busy is very quiet and serene… I stay for weeks with my husband. Home away from home.

Solid venue, but the food was rather bland. 5 stars for the value.

Stayed here for a couple weeks wasn't impressed. Weak internet. Banquet halls downstairs were so loud at night. Smokers and tokers hanging out at the front door all the time. Over priced bar. Terrible food, got eggs and toast… Burnt toast and greasy eggs. Skip this place if you can!

Chateau Nova Hotel Review Pros/Cons Nov 05, 2015 Pros: Exercise/weight room available Standard rooms come with small coffee maker, bar fridge, iron/board Rooms are clean and well kept Beds are nice and comfortable Climate control in room 95% of staff are friendly and courteous House keeping is quick and efficient to respond to any spill/mess Cooking units, (Executive Suites), are modern and appealing and also include a detached bedroom from the living area. Available washer/dryer coin laundry on site ($2/Wash $2/Dry) Cons: Free Wi-Fi is VERY slow No complimentary breakfast available Standard rooms DONT come with a microwave! No swimming pool/jacuzzi tub Adjacent rooms are extremely noisy. Poor sound proofing. Restaurant food not very appetizing    — didn't feel well after eating a beef burger    — chicken wings were over burnt,      over crispy, crunchy, dry Conclusion: My first impression of this hotel was very positive, despite the fact it was the first hotel that I have ever been in that did not have a microwave! *Laughing*. I felt that the rooms were very nice and well kept comparing to many other hotels that I have stayed at. Most of the hotel staff were nice and respectful although every batch of apples has its rotten one right? Anyway. The free Wifi thats available is also extremely slow, and at times it took 5-10 minutes to load a webpage on my Macbook Pro.

I was at Chateau Nova for a meeting and had supper in their restaurant. When I mentioned that I needed gluten free they informed me that they have Gluten free products and produced a club sandwich that was absolutely delicious. Friendly informative staff assist when looking for events. I look forward to another event being held there.
