Friendly staff, delicious food & great location.

From the time I came to check in to the time I left was an amazing experience! Everything was very clean and the staff were super friendly. The rooms were spacious and very nice and they are great prices! The food at the restaurant was very good and the waiter was super nice and friendly. I will be coming back and staying again in the near future!

The Saturday night buffet is dedicated to gluten free dining and was the best one I have ever been to. The prime rib was made to order by a great chef and the rest of the staff were friendly. Best ever!

Be careful complaining about this place because they will retaliate by black listing your name in their computer system. Every front desk clerk then feels entitled to treat you unprofessionally. Wow, unbelievable bad business practices.

A very nice hotel! We had requested the handicapped room and it was amazing. The furniture was not as updated as in the other rooms, but it was fully functional. Handicap shower was great and so helpful with my issues. Their hot breakfast was amazing for a hotel to have and some variation day to day. A smoking gazebo outside for those who need it. We didn't deal a lot with front desk staff, but they were nice and check-in and check-out. Dining room staff at breakfast were very nice and helpful. Parking lot was ample.

Attended a wedding here. The venue was nice. The workers were great. The meal they provided was pretty good. Another wedding reception was in the building and happening at the same time — and there was no issue with that.

I will honestly recommend their brunches, well worth the money. And the waiters are awesome. Thanks guys.

I stayed here last Saturday for my wedding night. DO NOT expect much extra. I booked because of the hot tub in the room, which yes, was amazing. However we also put in the notes that it was for our wedding night and that having something special would be nice when we got there. (Rose petals, something along those lines) NOTHING. Not even a congratulations. The beds were average, and the room I found a bit small. I spent $215 on my wedding night for a hot tub and a place to sleep, when I was looking for a bit more. Just a bit underwhelmed.

For a professional event I attended, parking felt limited. The facility itself is really nice. The main ballroom was very nice with 2 sections and an exit to a beautiful outdoor area that had patio tables and chairs, and a gazebo. Didn't really go anywhere else within the facility.

I’ve stayed at the Chateau many times, I think about 11 now to be honest and have never had a problem. The staff were great, breakfast is great, and they make the best Ginger Beef Stir Fry I’ve ever had. But this last trip I was very disappointed, the fridge didn’t work and ruined my food, the shower was just a drizzle. So they upgraded me which I did appreciate a lot. I got to the King Room. Amazing bed and washrooms but no Microwave, when I called front desk the lady who answered asked why I needed one? When I responded with to warm up my food! She replied with I’ll ask house keeping but I don’t think we can help you. I can’t believe that. I can’t let one bad experience ruin it though, may just be a new staff member. But honestly 1 out of 11 is not a bad record and I will still suggest friends and family to stay there. I still got love for you Chateau and I’ll still come back. ❤️❤️❤️

I was placed at the Chateau Louis rather than the Larga, as it had no vacancy, and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Right from the Front Desk, Housekeeping and Dining, my experiences were awesome. I was treated with respect and dignity. My grandparents always stayed here and now I know why. I will continue to be thankful that the service they provide, it is always top notch! I also want to add, I do not talk down to anyone and use pleasantries to the staff. Perhaps that's why I am treated as such but no, they are professional to anyone they come across. Loved the food, atmosphere and I will return, every time. Thank you for the terrific hospitality.

Never stayed at the hotel or went to the bar. Just went to the liquor store. It's fantastic. Excellent selection, surprisingly good prices and knowledgeable staff. We go again.

This is a review of the banquet halls. Been here a few times for conferences always a great experience. Food is delicious and parking is great. Staff are quite friendly and are so sweet to go above and beyond at times. Highly recommended for parties and banquets.

I didn't stay in the hotel, but we went for a birthday meal. It wasn't my birthday, but I have food allergies. I can't have dairy or gluten and so it's a concern to eat out. I shouldn't have worried. When we showed up, the waitress told us right away that they were aware of my allergies and that the chef would be coming out to discuss the buffet with us. I was floored. The chef came out and went through each dish with me. They offered to make me certain items like gluten free waffles or mixed potatoes with cheese I can eat. Absolutely amazing! The best part? I didn't get sick afterwards. So it was truly celiac friendly which is really hard to find. The service and attention to detail was unbelievable. This is what a restaurant should be like. So impressed.

Sweet hotel. Not fancy and a little dated but very cozy, and nice service. Nice size room, good bed, great towels. Wifi works well everywhere. Very quiet. I appreciate the two sink areas so that two people can get ready at the same time. Restaurant has casual and tasty food. Came for business event and would stay here again for business.

I was a little disappointed upon attempting getting a room. I asked for the Presidential Suite which I always get as I’ve stayed here a number of times. It’s the best suite in Edmonton so I suppose this review isn’t all negative. The gentleman at the counter quoted me the rate and I asked for a 2 night stay. No problem. I stated twice that I would be in the room by myself as it’s just passed midnight and I’m exhausted. He felt compelled to let me know that there would be no additional guests allowed tonight or after 11 pm tomorrow. I stated again that I am by myself but if I have a guest tomorrow, it’s not his concern and asked why can I not have a guest as I felt he was suggesting something. The gentleman said the rooms are made of wood and it’s quiet time. I’m 41 years old and have stayed at the Chateau Louis a number of times and have never received a complaint. Obviously, it’s offensive and as much as I like the room, I’m not going to be treated like a 12 year old adolescent. Sorry to see you go Chateau Louis! Your room will be missed.

Great Gluten Free buffet! My wife is celiac but I'm not. If I wasn't told it was gluten free, I would never have known. Food tastes that good.

Staff were friendly, however room was dirty. Bottom side of toilet seat had not been cleaned in awhile and was growing brown mold. Air conditioning wasn't working so room stayed at 22 c. Stayed in non smoking room but pillow smelled of smoke. Changed room but air didn't work in new room either. Restaurant staff and food were very good however ceiling vents were surrounded by dirt. The whole place could use a good cleaning. Family staying on the road side (Kingsway) complained about traffic noise all night. Would not recommend. There are much better places in Edmonton.

We visited Chateau Louis because the beer and wine store has an excellent reputation. Prices were very competitive although selection was not great. However we looked into the hotel and discovered the piano bar. It is the perfect hotel bar. Check out the photos on the website. I have previously dined in the excellent dining room although I have never stayed at the hotel. Based on the other facilities it should be excellent.

I was here on business in Nov 2017. Loved it. Very nice Boutique hotel and reasonable. Bar staff great, nice piano in the bar, where someone is playing most nights. Food was really good. Staff very accommodating. I will go back!

I have attended a number of conferences at the Chateau Louis conference centre. The facility is well located with plenty of free parking. The conference rooms are perfectly fine but very basic in decor. The meals are adequate but not gourmet. Washrooms could use a little repair work but are functional.

We were not happy about the quality of the matress as it was very firm and uncomfortable, causing a restless night. The room was also very warm and we could not find a control to lower the temperature — it was late so we did not contact customer service for assistance. We did attend the complimentary breakfast buffet, which was about the quality as expected — more than decent, some items better than others, but nothing amazing. Overall it was a pleasant experience, and if the bed was more comfortable, I would award 5 stars.

The room was nice and clean, with all standard amenities. My main complaint was the bed was quite hard, so didn't get a great sleep. If you like stiffer beds, you'd likely enjoy more. Other than that, a nice stay.

Campbell College, Edmonton booked the Grand Ballroom at the Chateau Louis Conference Centre to celebrate our 30th Anniversary. We had over 200 guests attend and selected the Deluxe Buffet. The evening was magical! The location is central with tons of parking, the Grand Ball Room is so elegant and can accommodate a variety of settings and numbers. Rosie, my Catering Consultant was very helpful, efficient and accommodating. The buffet and deserts were exquisite; I might add that I've attended many functions at this location, and the food has always been wonderful. I would recommend booking at this Conference Centre for any special occasion. Thanks very much to your efficient team; everything went perfect!

Last Sept. 30, Campbell College had its 30th anniversary gala at this hotel. The place is very good and the food was delicious but above all I would like to commend two staff, their name is Adi — the Banquet Captain who found my diamond earring and returned it to me and Claudio who also helped in finding my earring. They were very helpful and honest. Keep up the great work. Thank you very much to both of you and to all the guys who helped me.

I had my wedding reception in the Crown Suite of the hotel. It was just absolutely perfect! The food was delicious, and the chef Lorne went above and beyond. Tony and his team were so helpful and courteous and of course the room is absolutely gorgeous! We stayed in the presidential suite and it was so beautifully decorated. At the end of the night we got back to our room to find proseco and chocolate covered strawberries to celebrate. It was great! Would highly recommend!

I've stayed at a lot of hotels and their breakfast was not as good as other hotels, which charge the same rates. The room was clean and comfortable. They have an outstanding drink selection and piano player in their lounge.

This place was by far the WORST hotel I have ever stepped foot in. We had a room booked for the past month and when we arrived we were checked in promptly and then headed for our room. We stayed there for a few brief moments before phoning frantically around to get another room as it was the night of the concert and most were booked in that area. In short, the room was disgusting. Carpet stained with burns all over, pillows and bedding not anything anybody would want to sleep on. The feeling we got from it was more of a "rent per hour" if you catch my drift. Save your time and money. Find anywhere but here.

Went to the conference centre for a wedding. There is a gazebo and garden in the back attached to the event which was really pretty and great for photos. The catering was very good. There was lots of parking. Good place for a nice event.

We had lunch there, split a couple appies with the group and watched some racing on the big screen TV. Nachos were fantastic. The server was really nice! It's a cool place, there's a fountain on the way downstairs with the biggest goldfish I've ever seen. I'll definitely go there again.

We had lunch for approximately 50 people following my grandmothers funeral service. The staff were very accommodating, provided good service, and the food and coffee was delicious. My 3 yr old son wanted to walk around. The hotel is three floors and looks quite lovely with both in colours, design, and furniture. I would like to return sometime and have drinks in the bar which has a very cool aquarium.

We attended a NACHA workshop here yesterday. Service was good, the room was set up nicely, and the smart board was a great touch. Cold tasty water was set up on each table. Continental breakfast was ordered as part of the room rental, which consisted of fresh fruit, pastries, coffee and tea. The baked goods were quite stale and there wasn't enough fruit for everyone. Thankfully the lovely staff replenished the fruit at our midway break.

Absolutely amazing buffet for our lunch, bartender was quick and courteous, staff cleaned up very nicely once we were finished. Would positively recommend Chateau Louis.

Chateau Louis serves a fabulous brunch on Sundays, beef medallions for lunch on weekdays that are both delicious and a killer deal, and after lunch you can pop in to the liquor store to admire the wide-ranging array of single malt whiskies, and score something special for a treat.

We stayed in a renovated jacuzzi room which was modern, comfy and surprisingly tastefully decorated. The outside of the building is tired and some of the decor a bit over the top. Meals were excellent but breakfast buffet a bit subpar compared to our other meals. Top notch service from Maitre De.

1st night the toilet broke. Next day discovered the cold water tap in the shower was broken. The rooms are old, dated, not very clean and smelled of cigarette smoke. The food is expensive and not very tasty. The desk staff, however, were very courteous and helpful. The maintenance staff responded quickly to deal with the repairs in the bathroom. It would have been a nice touch if they had some coffee and tea available in the lobby for those with an early morning departure.

I stayed here 5 days for a wedding. The rooms are nothing like the pictures on the website. While clean they were extremely outdated and the bathroom was moldy. Make sure you ask for an upgraded room. The service was good in the restaurant, daily housekeeping and bar however if you need a towel or blanket you are sent on your own mission to find the housekeeping head person to get them. This should have been handled and not something I have to do for myself. The third floor ceiling is leaking and there is a bucket in the hall but no one emptied it during my stay. I won't stay here again unless I am guaranteed an upgraded room.

Went for brunch for a family birthday. Food was pretty good, but the restaurant area seemed dated and wasn't properly set up. They also didn't give enough coffee for our guests and took the carafe away early.

AMAZING! Staff was kind, and when I found I was missing items in my room, they had it sorted out within minutes. I will definitely stay here again!

Royal coach dinning roomhas great food and usally a great service but unfortunatly this afternoon I was up for a little something to eat but not a lunch. So I went and I order a ceasar salad with a budweiser. Received the salad after 35minutes of waiting and never received my beer, try to contact the waitress but she ignore me! She saw every custumer 4-5times and she only picked my order … her assistant bring my order, bring the bill, checked if everything was alright, took my finished plate. After her assistant bring my 9$ bill and I put a 20$ on the table, the waitress came back took the bill took the money went to saw more custumer then bring back the change without talking… she seems upset but I don't know why! The day before I tipped over 5$ on a nachos. I tip 3or4$ on the free breakfest include in my stay. I even let 5$tip for my salad hopping it'll go to her assistant wich deserve 5star. Otherwise hotel julian's piano bar are awesome hotel is clean and calm To the hotel 5star To waitress assistant 5star To the waitress 0.5star Hope service will be better for dinner.

I had the pleasure of presenting at a professional event at the conference center. I was impressed with the quality of the facility, meal served for lunch and service. I will definitely consider the Chateau Louis for future engagements.

Was okay but Had to tip break fast lady 20$ before she even smiled at my brown skin lol.

The was a pregnant mother whose apartment burned down and has a result of fleeing the burning building with her children in tow didn't have the presence of mind to grab her shoes, I know right! I mean your life's in danger flames all around you watching everything you have burn away, she could of at least risked her life to grab some shoes! I am glad your staff had the presence of mind to remind her of this by kicking her out of your restaurant for not having any shoes. Merry Christmas to you!

This hotel was awesome, we asked for a renovated suite and loved it. It was unique and comfortable. The staff were really unfriendly, however it was rodeo weekend so maybe it was situational. We'll stay here again for sure with hopes of friendly staff.

Was there summer of 2014 visiting from BC with my Father-in-law and family to attend 100th PPCLI events. Father in law was a Paratrooper in Korea. Great time had by all! Enjoyed the food and ambiance and great selection of Scotch in the beer and wine store attached to the hotel. Very knowledgable staff. Would stay again for sure.

Rooms are nice but a little dated. Conference services were excellent. The restaurant reminds me of the cafeteria in a retirement home.

Saturday evening buffet with hubbie and 3 kids on valentines night, staff were amazing, and the beef. Wow.

Chateau Louis, Sunday brunch buffet review. $30.00 never tasted so gross, the food was unappealing in both taste and presentation. The selections presented were either stale or wilted. I would have been embarrassed to present this swill to paying customers. This was the first time I've been at the Chateau Louis and most definitely my last. First impressions do leave a lasting impression.

Rooms smelled awful had to be moved to a different room with in 5 mins of being there, second didn't smell much better, like an ashtray but it was a no smoking room, maid took the towels on the first day and didn't replace them, we were charged $15 dollars per pet per day, we were told when we booked that it was $15 per pet per visit, good thing the complimentary breakfast was free it was cold and undercooked, when we talked to the front desk staff on several occasions all they said was sorry but never offered any compensation, went outside at 8:30 am to put stuff in truck and the maid was already in our room when we came back even though we told her we weren't done yet, she said sorry but kept doing what she was doing instead of leaving.

Not recommended. Everything in our room was broken, from the shower to the alarm clock. Then, at 2 am, we called the front desk because the air conditioning was broken and we couldn't sleep. The service man they sent up was ungroomed, and not in any sort of uniform, which was really unprofessional and almost creepy, especially in the middle of the night. The rooms were clean, so not terrible, and the hardwood floor in our room was nice, but other than that it wasn't a great experience.

Checked in last night with my husband. Got up this morning to find the air conditioner had been dripping water all night. Called down to front desk to report that it was leaking and had soaked one of my suede boots. Was told maintenance would be up soon. Hubby and I were headed to the mall so we stopped at front desk on way out, were told wed be switched to a new room and that it should be done by the time we returned. We were at the mall for over 2 hours and upon return our room was still not ready because housekeeping needed to clean one and were on lunch, she had our bag and had asked if the boots were in the bag because she didnt want to have to look thru my bags. Um pardon? so hubby and I sat in the lobby for over an hour waiting. I finally told front desk I have never felt like such a low class citizen in my life and that they could have at the very least offered us a comp lunch while we waited. So she gave us 2 free drink vouchers. Wow. Not impressed with that service at all. Wondering if the service is a reflection on the fact that I am native and my room was paid for by my medical.

Had trouble with air conditioner leaking, this was brought to front desks attention at about 9am. The wife and I are still waiting (in lobby) for room change. It is noon. No desk manager until next week.

Cheaper than Sherbrooke and Athlone! 3% for 300, 5% for 500 volume discount.
